I deserve this. 

What do I deserve you ask? 

Scully needs me. No, she hasn't came right out and 
said that to my face. I just know. Every time she 
drops by just to see how I am, I know. Every smile, 
every touch of her hand, every time she's saved 
my ass, I know.

I could sit around wallowing in guilt about all the 
pain she's been through since she came into my 
life. I could throw away all she means to me by 
feeling that way, but I'm not, because she needs 
me. I may be crazy, but I'm not an idiot. I know
what I have and there's no way in hell I'm going 
to mess this up.

I deserve this, this being Scully's love. Yes, 
Scully loves me and this she has came right out 
and said to my face. She doesn't actually have to,
though because I have already known.
