I know what she likes, and all I need to know is where she wants to eat. Every case, I tell myself that I need to treat her, to take her somewhere fancier than Mickey D's, but it rarely happens. She deserves to be waited on hand and foot, to have linen napkins and to drink wine from crystal goblets. She should be able to choose from the finest cuisine available. Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury on the road, and I can't see her agreeing to a date with me at home, so I do what I can with what I've got to work with. Old Country Buffet, here we come. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Author's notes: This story was inspired by a lunchtime trip to Wendy's. I always order the same thing (junior bacon cheeseburger only mayo and a baked potato) and it just got me to thinking...well, you know how it is. Writing these little 155 worders is pretty fun. Thanks to all the wonderful writers who have and will continue to inspire my own writing. A shout-out to my sista Adrianna who I have yet to lure over to the thug side of life. And of course, my precious Aimee, who makes me a whole person.
