Spoilers: Notta
Rating: G, I guess.
Summary: Scully doesn't take Mulder's little innuendo-jokes seriously, but then later realizes just how he
really feels.
Archive: If you want to (which I doubt). Just leave my e-mail and "name" (Raven) on it.
Note: This happens before Tempis Fugit/ Max. No cases, no point, really. Just a bit of 'shipper fluff.

Anything for You
By Raven

Mulder and Scully's Basement Office
4:30 PM

"So, Mulder, is it okay if I go home early to get ready for my date? You mind finishing the paper work?"

Mulder slipped into one of his joking voices, "Anything for you, Scully."

She raised her eyebrow suggestively, "Anything Mulder?"

He replied, equally suggestive, "Anything, Scully."

She grinned and shook her head lightly. " Bye, Mulder." She walked out the door, his eyes following her the
entire time. He shook his head and whispered, "Anything, Scully."

He leaned back in his chair. Scully on a date. He knew this one wouldn't last, but that didn't make him any
more comfortable with the idea. His Scully out with someone else. <Come on, Fox, she's not your Scully.
She doesn't even know how you feel> The voice was right. She wasn't really his, but he knew that in his
mind she would always belong to him. She was all that he had. But he was worried about her now. Getting a
date seemed like a good thing for her, but this guy was not a good candidate for Scully. She had barely
dated since they met, years ago, and needed a date that had a chance of being successful. He knew that this
date would not work out. There was no way that she could really like that guy! She just really wanted to go
on a date. <Maybe you could help with that, Fox>. <Yeah, I wish> <You said that you'd do anything for
her> <I'D be more than willing to go on a date with

Outside Scully's Apartment
9:30 PM

Mulder leaned against the door to Scully's apartment. Her date couldn't last too much longer!! He'd been
waiting for her for more half an hour! Maybe he was wrong. He stood up and started to walk toward the
elevator. He had barely taken two steps when he saw Dana Scully walking toward him, alone. "What are you
doing here Mulder?"

He smiled, "I figured the date would be over by now, and I thought you might want to talk about it."

"Thanks for your confidence, Mulder."

"Come on, Scully!! It was with Agent Pendrell!"

Scully laughed softly. "Touch‚. So you came all the way over here for a little girl talk?"

"Yep."

"Anything for me, huh, Mulder ?" Scully said with more than a touch of sarcasm. She was surprised to feel a
hand touch her chin and gently nudge it until he could look into her eyes. He stared contentedly into those
tiny blue oceans for a moment, before remembering what he came to do. "Anything for you, Scully," he
whispered, his voice deeper than he had ever heard it. He slowly lowered his lips to hers and gently kissed
her. "Because I love you."

She gazed into his eyes, reflecting his feelings. Just to make sure he understood, she whispered, "I love you,
too" in a voice that he had never heard After a moment of searching his eyes, she reached up to wrap her
arms around his neck and gently pulled him to her again.

end

There it is. I know the ending sucks, but I'm not too good with the mushy stuff. Comments and
*constructive* criticism more than welcome (w/ how much criticism I'm expecting on this one, I can only
handle the constructive criticism). Send it to BlueRaven1@juno.com
