TXF still belong to FOX and Ten Thirteen I'm just honoring them in this little story. We're emailing this for an offline friend, Merci Mulder. Who wishes to remain anonymous. September 10, 2003 Wednesday 1900 hours Fox Mulder checked his watch and straightened his tie for the fourth time in his hallway mirror. He smiled when he heard the key and made a bee line for the living room. "Mulder, it's me!" Scully said as she entered the foyer to their home and placed the large package on the hallway table. "In here, Scully." Mulder replied. Dana Scully smiled and couldn't wait to see what Mulder had set up while she was out picking up the gift she wanted to give to Mulder this evening. As she rounded the corner and stepped down into the dining room area, she was pleasantly surprised by what she saw. Mulder stood at the dining table, dressed in a pinstripe five-button evening jacket with matching trouser complete with double pleats. "Hubba." Scully whispered. If there was one thing Scully could always count on, it was the way the man could turn her to jelly just by his wardrobe. Mulder pretended to not have heard her whisper and walked toward her carrying a fluted glass of champagne. As Mulder stepped toward Scully he enjoyed the whiff of her perfume and marveled again at how beautiful and vivacious Scully still looked. "Champagne, my heart." Mulder said. "Thanks, Mulder." Scully said. "Happy Anniversary!" they said in unison and laughed. "So how are we, Scully? Can you believe that we're still here?" "Yes, Mulder we're still here. I believe we'll be around for a very long time." "How's that?" Mulder asked and led her through the house to the living room. "You know Mulder The DVD's of all our case files. When the alien invasion was defeated and their mothership crashed, we found that they'd been secretly taping us for years on DVD! Yet another alien technology brought to the limelight." Scully said. Now that we've moved into semi-retirement from the sale of the DVD's to the public the truth will remain in our history." Scully explained. "Semi-retirement, indeed. Truth will remain in our history. Scully have you been watching Buffy?" Mulder replied. "Watch it, g-man." Scully murmured. Mulder smiled and took Scully in to his arms. "Don't forget the fan fiction writers Scully, we live on in fan fiction too." "Yes, Mulder we do. But I still not too comfortable with the slash fiction." "Scully don't be silly, there's plenty of stories with us as lovers, married, married with children, children who have grown, you know the whole Susan Proto fan fiction should keep you happy for years." "Ok then, big guy, then don't forget I also love Vickie's stories, and the series in which you have that hunk of a big brother, Grey." "Grey. Now I wonder if Grey is really from the little gray alien mention?" "Don't know Mulder. Perhaps you should write all your favorite authors and I'll write mine. It's been ten years since we began our adventures and ten years of the writers and fans who are keeping us alive today." "Agreed," Mulder said. But hey, before we dine, let's watch the DVD of when we first met, OK?" With that, Scully turned on their plasma television and placed the first disk in their DVD player of their first case together. "Oh my god. I look like I'm twelve years old!" Scully exclaimed. "Oh that's nothing, wait to you see the ties I thought were cool and my hair, yikes." "Shush Mulder, look, I'm just entering your office and looking at your walls." "Aw, look at the preppy." "Shut up. Mulder." THE END.
