Bring out the lights, put up the tree, kiss someone under the
mistletoe, get wasted on champagne and chocolate chip cookies. It's that
time of year....Christmas!!! A time where it's more than just the
presents, it's the people, the love, the giving. And of course, in this
story, it's just presents, tricks, and giving.
Mulder and Scully belong to the trio of Groucho, Chico, and Harpo....
no, wait, that's the Marx Brothers. They really belong to Chris Carter,
1013 Productions, and Fox Broadcasting. Whatever Looney Tunes characters
used belong to Warner Bros. (yes...and their sister Dot).
Comments loved, flames ignored. Real simple, folks. Have a happy
holidays everyone!!!! On with the show....PS: My address has changed to
Trustno1@wco.com...make a note of it.

December 23, 1995
Mulder was sitting behind his desk shuffling through paperwork when
Scully came back from a lunch.
He looked at his redheaded partner, "Gee, Scully, kind of a long lunch,
eh? Do any Christmas shopping for anyone important?"
She smiled. He wasn't going to get her this time. "Mmhmm, got mom a
lovely sweater, couldn't think of much for my brothers, though. Got them
pen sets."
Well that wasn't the answer he expected. "That all?"
"Oh! How silly of me, I got Skinner a tie. Do you think burgundy
works for him?"
He groaned, "So you're not gonna tell me, huh?"
"Mulder, you should know I got you leather undies and a leash."
"Oh good," he said dripping with sarcasm, "that'll match the leather
bustier and black garter and stocking set I got you."
She purred sexily enough to make the blood leave his brain, "Mmmm,
you'd just love to see me in that, wouldn't you?"
He merely blushed and stumbled over his tounge for a minute while she
laughed.

12/24/95
Scully walked into the office and plugged in the string of lights Mulder
hung around the ceiling.
Thirty minutes later, Mulder came strolling in with an impish grin on
his face. "Sorry, the mall opened early today."
"Oh, doing some last minute Christmas shopping?"
"Hey, everything's on discount. I got a dozen boxes of candy canes for
only four bucks!"
"And who's gonna be moaning when they have an upset stomach and rotting
teeth?"
"I like to think of it more like a massive sugar high."
   "Mulder, you're incorrigible."
"But aren't you dying to know what I got you?"
   "No. Not really."
He did a classic cartoon double-take, "Wha..? You really don't want to
know?"
"No," she said tersely, "I mean, if I knew exactly what you got me,
then there'd be no surprise left."
"Well, I guess so." This wasn't the reaction he expected. Was he
losing his touch?
"Mulder, my mom invited you along for Christmas morning at her place.
Wanna go?"
"Hmm? Sure, I'd love to. Hey Scully, what have you got planned tonight?"
"Well, they're showing `It's a Wonderful Life' for the forty-third time
on TV. Aside from that I was going to snuggle up in an Afghan with a
glass of wine and eat popcorn. Why?"
"Why don't you bring the wine and popcorn over to my place and we can
celebrate Christmas a little early?"
"Yeah, why not? I'll just have to stop home real quick and wrap
your gifts."
"Gifts? Meaning, more than one? C'mon Scully, tell me what you got me."
She sighed and wished she had that leash.

Mulder opened the door on the second knock. Scully was wearing only a
sweat-suit under her winter jacket, but there was something oddly alluring
about it. Mulder, on the other hand, was still in his slacks and shirt
with an apron around his neck and a ladle in his hand.
"Oh, hi Scully. Come on in. I'm just making dinner."
"Dinner? You? Mulder, I'm impressed....or very worried."
"Hey, none of that tonight. You bring the wine?" she handed him the
bottle, "Great, perfect for raviolis."
   "God, that smells great!"
"Thanks," he pointed to the TV, "I put it on just for you."
   "Jimmy Stewart, noooooo!"
Mulder just laughed and went back to his cooking.
She made her way around the sparse apartment finding a meager tree in
one corner. "Wow, I didn't know you got a tree. Looks kinda sick,
though."
"Nah," he said coming back out of the kitchen, "it reminds me of that
Charlie Brown Christmas Special. It must have come from the Island of
Misfit Trees."
She smiled, "Yeah, who ever heard of a `Charlie in the Box?'"
   Mulder laughed, "Exactly."

Scully was stretched out on the couch with a glass of wine in one hand
while Mulder sat on the floor just beneath her. On the television Yukon
Cornelius was battling the Abominable Snowman on the edge of a cliff.
"You know, this show has become so corny over the years, but there's
something comforting about it," said Mulder.
"Yeah. Well, it's like reminder of our childhood. Of all the
happiness of Christmas."
He looked at his watch, "Hey, it's after ten, you wanna open presents?"
She smiled warmly, "Sure." She started wondering what his reaction was
gonna be and began giggling.
   "What?"
   "Nothing."
   "You sure?"
She did the best to wipe the smirk off her face, "Yeah, yeah, nothing."
They got up and walked over to the tree. Mulder picked up a small box
and handed it to her.
She dropped to the floor and sat Indian-style while unwrapping the
small box. It was a little felt box. She opened it and gasped. "Oh,
Mulder..."
   "You like?"
"Yeah." She held the small sapphire earrings in her hand and looked at
them in the light. "They're gorgeous."
   "My turn?"
She suddenly remembered what she had got him. `Ugh, he's gonna hate it
after what he got me,' she thought. "Um...yeah."
   "Which box?"
Damn, they're both the same! "Either one."
"Okay," he picked one up and unwrapped it. He let out a yelp of
laughter when he saw the Wile E. Coyote shirt that said `You may call me
*Super* Genius.' "Scully, this is great! I love it!!"
   "You do?"
   "Yeah, this is the coolest!"
   "Good," she said reassuredly.
   "Okay, here's the other one."
Scully open the shirt-sized box and gasped again, "Mulder...." She had
no idea how to respond to a blue crushed velvet bodysuit.
"I wasn't sure if that was going to be over the top or not."
"Well....it's beautiful! I love crushed velvet."
   "Go try it on."
"Um...okay." She got up and went into the bathroom to return a couple
minutes later wearing it with her sweats. "What do you think?"
`If I only told you what I think,' he thought. "It's stunning. Blue
always does so well on a redhead."
She smiled in the flattery. "Okay, your turn."
He picked up the last box under the tree and began opening it. He
screamed when he saw what it was. It was a pair of Bugs Bunny boxers, but
it was the kind of boxer that were more like cycling shorts. "Oh, Scully,
you were asking for this, right?"
   "For what?" she said innocently.
He walked into the bathroom and came out a minute later in just the
boxers and a t-shirt. Scully inhaled sharply and steadied herself against
the wall. `Woah!' she thought. "Um...impressive," she said.
He smiled and began to chuckle. "You really got me this time. All
Warner Brothers."
"Well, it only seemed fair after the Tweety stuff you got me."
"Yeah, but I don't think you noticed the special part of the bodysuit."
   "What?"
He pointed to just above the left breast. Scully looked down and
groaned. "Oh no! You did it again! Ahhh, I can't stand it!"
She was looking directly down at an image of Tweety Bird. He did it
again!! "I'm never gonna win."
"Yes you have, Scully. Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, Mulder," she said and hugged him.

Well, that's it. For this one at least. Maybe it's the weather, but I've
an inkling to do an NC-17 offshoot of the end of this one. Watch out!!
