Title: CONQUEST III - Very Vampire Author: Laura Nunn Date: Fri, 22 Aug 1997 17:18:11 GMT~ Disclaimer: This isn't mine. Not at all. I'm quite glad really, because if I had the characters any longer I might do something really psychotic to them. As if this isn't bad enough. Anyway, Mulder and Scully and everyone else all belong to Chris Carter and co. Rating: Hmmm, the first couple of parts are fairly innocuous, but I suppose I'd better give an NC-17 warning, or at least a 13 for the last part. Spoilers: Nothing major, but references to series 1, 2 and 3. Author's note: I'm not fond of humour as a genre, but I couldn't get this one out of my system. Let me know if you like it or have *useful* suggestions. If you don't like it, don't worry, you're probably perfectly normal. It was that Vampire bitch. OK, so she had been visiting her alien friends while it happened, but her FBI buddies had filled her in. Mulder liked vampires. And if Mulder liked vampires, that's what she'd be. Scully picked out her best black clothes. March 6th, Mulder's office. Mulder was getting worried. It was almost 10 a.m. and there was no sign of Scully. He hoped he hadn't been too hard on her the day before; she was obviously under a lot of pressure, and there was something he needed to tell her. Eventually Mulder rang her. No answer. No answerphone. He tried again later, with the same outcome. He thought she probably just needed a day off, and left her to it. He was concerned however; Scully had been behaving very oddly lately, what with trying to poison him with deadly insects and setting fire to his apartment. It didn't happen every day. That night, Mulder's apartment. Mulder was sitting on the couch, eating pizza, half-watching one of his infamous videos, and half-wondering what was wrong with Scully. Dana. The woman he had thought he loved. Suddenly the doorbell awakened him from his reverie. He peered out of the eye-hole, but the hall was completely dark. He opened the door and was met with an unearthly howl. "Turn the lights off!" shrieked a haunted, but definitely Scully-like voice. Mulder did as he was told. Scully entered his apartment. "I haf come to dwivnk your blood." "Oh." Scully leapt at him. "Look Scully," Mulder said, pushing his partner away, "I think we need to work this out. And I have something to tell you." "No. I haf ze thirst and I must dwivnk ze blood." "How about some pizza instead?" Mulder was getting just the teensy bit worried about Scully. "Aaaaah!" Scully's scream was pained. "What's wrong, you don't like anchovies?" "It ees ze garlic. You are tvying to murder me, no?" "No, Scully, of course not. Come on. Sit down. You need a break. Maybe you should see the FBI psychiatrist?" Scully leapt at Mulder, in another futile attempt to drink his blood. Mulder wasn't having any of it. "Look Scully, I think you better go home and get yourself sorted out. I'll see you tomorrow." Scully spotted Mulder's holster lying on the side. "Aaah! You haf ze silver bullets." She was going to try to fly out of the window, but her last remaining bit of common sense prevailed and she took the elevator instead. When Scully reached her apartment, she wondered what she had done wrong. Then she realised. The vampire thing had obviously upset her darling Fox, and she had just brought it all back. She worried for a few moments. What sort of girl *did* Mulder like? And then the answer came. She remembered the few seconds of video she had seen in his apartment before he'd switched it off. Scully had to go shopping for this one. When she returned from her shopping trip, she smiled with glee at the knowledge that this time, Mulder would be hers. To be continued.......
