Disclaimer: If they were mine, we'd have seen this 
a long time ago!  But CC, Fox and 1013 hold the 
reins.
Summary: a conversation, almost entirely in 
dialogue.  Sometimes your imagination is better 
than my prose!
Time Period: post-ep for Amor Fati, later that 
night
Classification: MSR, complete fluff.  A lifeboat 
of humor in a sea of angst.  God, that was bad. ;)
Archive: Anywhere just keep my name on it and 
let me know where it's headed.
Rating: PG, ref's to sex, but nothing overt
Author's note: Another author did one entirely in 
dialogue recently (Susan F. I believe) and I loved 
it, this is my little attempt.



"Scully?"

"Mulder?  What is it?"

"I can't sleep."

"Is it your head?"

"I don't think so."

"Blurry or double vision?"

"No, I just can't sleep. Can I come in?"

"Of course.  What's wrong?"

"What do you mean?"

"I know that look on your face, what is it?"

"I'm confused."

"About what?"

"About earlier today."

"What about it?"

"I think you missed."

"Missed?"

"Yeah.  Didn't you mean to do this?"

"Ummmmm."

"I'll take that as a yes."

"UmmmmMulder?"

"Hm?"

"What are you doing?"

"Where's the damn hook?"

"In the. . .uh. . . in the. . . oh. . .front."

"Really?  Uh, Scully?"

"What?"

"You might want to stop doing that."

"What, this?"

"Uh-huh."

"You don't like it?"

"Keep going and I'll show you how much."

"Mulder?"

"Hm?"

"Mulder, it's been a while, oooo. . . but isn't 
this easier if we're horiz...uh....oh....um...."

"Do you have to second guess everything, Scully?"

"Much better."

"Scully?"

"Yes?"

"What are you doing?"

"Investigating,"

"Investi-oh my God."

Later.

"Now that's what I call a successful 
investigation."

"It was a bigger case than I expected it to be."

"Thank you.  Jesus, Scully.  Where the hell did 
that come from?"

"Catholic school."

"I doubt the nuns taught you that."

"Mulder?"

"Hmmm?"

"What are you doing?"

"Something I learned at Oxford."

"What?"

"Well, you know they made us study latin."

"Oh.  Oh.  Ohhhhhhhhhhhh."

"There's something to be said for a well rounded 
education."

"Scully, what are we doing?"

"I'd think that was fairly obvious."

"I mean this changes everything."

"Does it?"

"Doesn't it?"

"Only if we let it."

"So what do we do now?"

"How about this?"

"Works for me."
