Langly muttered at his computer. The doorbell rang and he spared a glance in the general direction then went back to his game, calling out a distracted, "Someone get the door, I'm busy." He tried to return to his game but the buzzer was so persistent his concentration was shot to hell and an Orc killed him. "Damn it," he complained, "can't a guy play a computer game in peace?" Getting up, he stomped to the door, grumbling and unbolted the locks without bothering to check the monitor first. He swung open the door. "Wha-aat?" Langly stared at the cow standing at the entrance of the lair. "Alright, guys," he yelled, "This is SO not funny!" Frohike was probably behind this. That jerk knew he hated cows and after what he went through at the Guthrie farm... He shuddered remembering how he posed as someone from the State Extention Office and it ended up with his arm up a cow's butt. "Shoo!" He waved his hand at the cow. "Go away." The cow just stared at him with those dark brown eyes; almost as if it knew who he was. The thought unsettled him and he looked a little closer at the cow. It looked like J.T. It couldn't be, could it? "Langly." Langly gasped, quickly backing up. The cow just said his name! Langly looked around for a tape recorder or some electronic device that Frohike could transmit with to make it sound like the cow was talking to him. But there was nothing. "Langly," J.T. said, entering the lair, "it's payback time." "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Langly bolted upright in bed, soaked in sweat and shaking. His eyes darted wildly around the room, unsure where he was. Slowly, he remembered he was safe in his room. There were no cows in the lair and J.T. and more importantly, any cow was far away. He heaved a sigh. "It's just a dream," he said, "just a dream." He settled back against his pillow and whispering this mantra, fell back asleep.
