DANA AND FOX c 1997 by Kristine Soltis F.B.I. BUILDING WASHINGTON,D.C. MARCH 22, 3:00 PM Agent Dana Scully wondered what was going through her partner's mind at that exact moment. She looked up from a file she was reading and looked at Agent Fox Mulder who was engrossed in other reading. She nonchalantly swiveled her chair to face his way. She secretly glanced at him while pretending to read several reports. Mulder looked up and caught her staring at him. His heart stood still for one second. Her beautiful blue eyes darted back to the reports. "Scully?" Mulder asked. "Hmmm?" Dana answered trying to act cool, but her red face exposed her. "Can I help you with something?" Mulder asked. Dana shook her head without looking up. "Damn, Dana, how could you let him catch you?" Dana chided herself. "Actually, I think I'm going to go home now." Dana thoughtfully decided. Mulder looked up in surprise. "It's only three o'clock." Mulder informed her. "I know. I can do the work at home too. I *do* have a computer at home." Dana reminded him. Did he want her to stay? Hope sprang into her heart. "Oh, yeah. I forgot. Have a nice weekend, Scully." Mulder smiled briefly before returning to his reading. "Yeah, you too." Dana sighed and slipped on her winter coat. She put the manila folder in her attache case before breezing out of the office. Mulder tried to concentrate on his readings but did not succeed. He wondered why Dana left early. His thoughts consisted only of Dana until a soft knock rapped on the door a little after six. "Come in" Mulder almost grunted. The door opened and a petite, young, and rather leggy blond haired woman peered inside. "Can I help you?" Mulder asked politely. "Yes, I'm Agent Sarah Dixon and I'm looking for Agent Dana Scully." the woman nervously answered him. "She left already. Do you want to leave a message?" Mulder asked. "No, she was supposed to give me a ride home. I knew she'd forget." the woman sighed letting her head rest on the door. "I can give you a ride. It's no problem." Mulder assured her. "Really? That would be great." the woman answered. Mulder grabbed his coat and switched off the lights in the office before locking the door behind him. AGENT DIXON'S APARTMENT BUILDING ANNAPOLIS, MD MARCH 22, 7:00PM "Thank you so much Agent Mulder. I will have to take you out to dinner to repay you for your kindness." Agent Dixon smiled as she got out of the car. Mulder made sure she safely made it into the building before pulling away from the curb. He drove around for over three hours before deciding to check on Dana. Agent Mulder picked up his cell phone and dialed her number. He pushed the "end" button with disgust after her answering machine picked up. Mulder decided to go to her apartment to make sure everything was okay. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT BUILDING ANNAPOLIS, MD MARCH 23, 10:30 PM Mulder walked down the familiar hallway towards Scully's apartment. Mulder jammed the key into the lock and opened the door. Candle light illuminated the room. Mulder heard a muffled moan errupt from the couch. "Scully?" Mulder called out into the dark room. "Mulder?" Dana called back with surprise. Her head peaked up from behind the sofa. Mulder noticed that her auburn hair was tousled. "Scully, you didn't answer your phone so I came to make sure you were okay." Mulder answered and came around the couch. And then he gasped. Dana was not alone. Dana was straddling a man. Mulder closed his eyes and opened them to see if he was dreaming. He wasn't . He froze as the man whom Dana was straddling struggled to sit up. "Mulder, this isn't a good time." Dana coldly stated. "I, uh.." Mulder struggled for words. Jealousy rang through his heart, though he didn't know why. Dana's date got up from underneath her and buttoned his shirt "Mulder, I think you should leave." she continued glaring at him. "No, if your partner is here at this time of night, then you two must have some unfinished business to take care of. I should be the one to go." her date furiously informed Dana in a cool tone. "Gary, wait." Dana sighed. If he left, she would never forgive Mulder. "Good bye, Dana. Good bye forever" Gary grumbled before leaving. "No-don't.." Dana began but Gary had already let himself out. Mulder saw the love in Dana's eyes disappear as a icy cold emotionless stare fell upon him. "Get out." Dana firmly stated "Scully, let me explain."Mulder pleaded "Get out...give me your key." Dana repeated and held out her hand. Mulder sighed and slipped the key to her apartment off of his key ring. He placed it in her waiting hand. He never looked at her. Dana pushed him towards the door. "Scully, I was just making sure.." Mulder trailed off standing right outside her door. She slammed it in his face. "Scully, c'mon open up." Mulder cried and knocked on her door. He pounded profusely for five more minutes, but Dana never answered. He couldn't go home with her angry. He slumped down the door and spent the night by the door of her apartment. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD MARCH 23, 9:00 AM Dana awoke to the winter sun blaring through her blinds. She grunted to herself and planted a pillow over her eyes. The activities that conspired the night before flooded her memory. She shuddered as she remembered how harshly she had been to Mulder and then she felt the emptiness Gary left her with. How could Mulder have done that? What was he doing in Annapolis anyway? Dana had to admit that she was a tiny bit relieved that Mulder had shown up. She didn't want to sleep with Gary; not yet at least. Dana knew that Gary wanted to sleep with her and she also knew that if Mulder hadn't shown up Gary would have had his way. Dana sighed heavily and yawned and at the same time she rolled out of bed. She kicked on her slippers and pulled a blanket around her. Saturday mornings meant receiving the T.V. book for the next week as well as the comics. Almost like a child, Dana shuffled to her door to scoop up the paper that would be waiting for her. She flung the door open with a heave. Mulder, who had been leaning his back against the door, fell into her apartment. Dana's eyes became wide. He couldn't have slept out there all night, could he have? He still was sleeping even after hitting her cold linoleum tiled floor. Dana couldn't leave him there. She grabbed his two arms and dragged him to the couch. She was unable to lift him onto the couch so Dana let him sleep on the floor next to it. She picked up the paper which had been placed next to Mulder and brought it inside and shut the door before all the heat escaped out into the hallway. Dana sat down at the kitchen table and began to read the comics. A little over an hour later, Mulder stretched and yawned. every joint in his body was sore. He rolled over and realized he wasn't in his own bed. Wherever he was, he was on the floor. "Good morning, Mulder" Scully called unfeeling. "Scully?" escaped Mulder's lips before the memories floated back into his mind. He stood up and staggered over towards her. "Mulder, I'm still angry at you." Dana warned him that her feelings have not changed. "You have every right to be. I know what I did was wrong. I just wanted to know if I could have a cup of coffee before going on my way." Mulder answered scratching his head. Scully got a cold feeling from Mulder. She couldn't believe he wasn't begging her to forgive him. "Yeah....yeah, sure." Dana softened. She poured him a cup from a pot she already had brewing. "Thanks," Mulder smiled at her. Dana turned away quickly. "What were you doing in Annapolis anyway?" Dana asked. "I took home Agent Sarah Dixon." Mulder informed Dana. "God, I completely forgot I was supposed to take her home." Dana sighed. She accidentally slammed her hand on the counter where she had left the broken pieces from a wine glass. "Damn!" she cried as she lifted up her palm to see several splints of glass that had penetrated beneath her skin. Blood began to trickle down her palm towards her wrist. Mulder sprang to action. He grabbed a dishtowel and covered her hand with it. "Where are your tweezers?" Mulder asked. Dana nodded towards the bathroom. Mulder raced to the bathroom and looked in her medicine cabinet. He found her tweezers....and a box of condoms. Mulder closed his eyes. God, was she sleeping with that Gary person? He couldn't imagine her making love to a man-other than himself. And that was only in his dreams. Pushing the thought aside, he returned to Dana with the tweezers. Mulder removed the cloth from around her hand. He took her hand in his and gently retrieved each small piece of glass that had entered her palm. When Mulder took her hand, Dana's heart skipped a beat. "Thanks, Mulder." Dana breathed. Mulder stared at her with those sexy brown eyes of his. She turned from him so Mulder wouldn't see the red that began to rouge her cheeks. "Scully, I really am sorry about last night." Mulder cautiously apologized. "I know. I'm sorry for throwing you out without letting you explain yourself."Dana apologized. "So we're friends?" Mulder asked making sure. "The best of." Dana answered him. Oh, did she wish it was more than that. "Are you still mad?" Mulder asked with less cation than his last question. "A little bit, I guess, but not really." Dana answered not really sure how she was feeling "Why are you frowning?" Mulder asked her. "Am I? I didn't realize..." Dana gave him a half hearted smile. Mulder sipped at the coffee while Dana wiped the broken glass into the trash. "Scully, if I can ask this, how serious were you with this Gary guy?" Mulder hesitantly asked. "Are you asking me if I slept with him?" Dana read right through his question. Mulder didn't know what to say. Luckily, she just continued. "I'm not sleeping with him, but we are pretty serious-were pretty serious." Dana corrected herself. "I think that's the last I'll ever see of Gary Elliot. I think he's jealous that a spend equal time with him and my work." Dana added. "You deserve better." Mulder told her with a smile. "Oh, Mulder..."Dana sighed. "Well, you do..." Mulder answered almost blushing. "And who, by your standards, is the man for me?" Dana asked as a hint of a smile protruded from her lips. "Me." Mulder answered with a strong smile. He meant it, but wanted to make it a joke. Dana was stunned by this answer, but quickly hid her reaction. She didn't want him to know that she felt that he *was* the man for her. "Come on Mulder, be serious." Dana laughed. She hoped he would tell her that he *was* being serious. She saw a smile dance across his lips as he was about to give a second answer. Dana knew he wasn't about to give her that answer and buried every inch of attraction and passion she felt for Fox Mulder deep inside her. Now that Dana convinced herself that she only felt friendship towards him, she knew those feelings would never surface again. "Frohike" Mulder answered again. Dana rolled her eyes. Frohike was one of the Lone Gunmen, a group of three guys who loved supernatural stuff. He was constantly hitting on Scully. "Okay, I can see that I'm not going to get a straight answer out of you," Scully chuckled. "Scully, you never told me that you were a lesbian!" Mulder exclaimed with shock. His surprised expression turned to a wicked smile. At first Dana didn't get the joke until she repeated what she had just said in her mind. Obviously, she had set herself up for the joke by using the phrase "straight answer". "Mulder, honestly...." Dana trailed off with a smile. "Well, I'll kindly get out of your hair for the rest of the weekend" Mulder sighed as he finished his cup of coffee "There is a God after all." Dana laughed as Mulder put the mug in her sink before showing himself to the door. "Bye, Scully," Mulder called as he opened the door. She saw the key to her apartment Mulder had given back to her on the kitchen counter. " Mulder, wait!" Scully called. "You forgot this." Mulder wondered what he had forgotten. Scully came over to him and placed the key in his palm and squeezed his palm shut. "Scully, I'm really sorry about last night." Mulder apologized again. "I forgive you. See you Monday, Mulder" Dana answered. She hugged him briefly to show that she truly did forgive him. The phone rang and Dana picked it up on the first ring. "Hello?" Dana answered it. "Hello, Dana. It's your mother." the voice on the other end replied. "Hi, Mom" Dana greeted her brightly. "How are things? How's Gary?" Dana's mother, Margaret, asked. "I thought you were done prying in my personal life." Dana answered with a smile. "I'm not prying...I'm just curious." Margaret Scully replied. "Things are okay, but I'm not seeing Gary anymore." Dana replied truthfully. "Oh, honey, I'm sorry. What happened?" her mother comforted her. "Things just weren't working out." Dana answered with a lie. "Dana, last time I spoke to you things were going wonderfully between you two. What really happened?" Dana's mother asked this time wanting the truth. "Mulder walked in on us last night. He has a key to my apartment and Gary and I were on the couch and Gary got all upset-I mean he had a right to be- and he left." Dana confided. "Just as well..." Mrs. Scully replied faintly. "What is that supposed to mean, mom?" Dana asked wanting to know. "Well, Dana, to tell you the truth I didn't like Gary that much. You deserve someone better like Fox for example. He's such a nice boy and he is so affectionate towards you." Dana's mother explained rattling off at a rapid speed. "Mother, let's not have this talk about Mul-Fox being my future husband. I don't feel that way about him and he doesn't feel that way about me." Dana interrupted. "But, Dana, you do feel that way. I can see the way you look at him." her mother continued. "Mom! Just drop it! " Dana angrily snapped. "Sorry, dear, but remember mothers know best," Margaret Scully brightly answered. "Mother...not one more word," Dana said seriously. "So when are you going to Cape May?" her mother asked changing the subject. "This Thursday. I can't wait to go." Dana informed her mother. "It's been a long time since you've been there." Dana's mother fondly answered. "I love Cape May in the winter. I'm glad you decided not to sell the house." Dana sighed. "Will you be there alone?" Dana's mother asked risking a hang up from her daughter. " Yeah, I guess I will be. Gary and I were going to go. Fat chance of him going now." Dana chuckled. "Why don't you ask Fox to go? He has the same week off, doesn't he?" Margaret suggested. "Maybe. He probably doesn't have anything better to do during that week." Dana thought about her mother's suggestion. The phone call lasted a few more minutes before Dana and her mother said their good byes. F.B.I. BUILDING WASHINGTON,D.C. MARCH 25, 11:00 AM It had been a grueling morning at the office. Mounds and mounds of paperwork had suddenly appeared on both Mulder's and Dana's desks. They had been silent all morning. Dana decided to ask Mulder to go to Cape May with her. She was just waiting for the right moment. "Come to Cape May with me." Dana broke the two and a half hour silence. "Huh?" Mulder asked as if coming out of a daze. "Come to Cape May with me." Dana repeated. "When?" Mulder asked. A "yes" leaped into his throat, but he didn't want to seem to eager. She might become suspicious. "This Thursday. We both have the week off." Dana replied. Mulder put down some of the paper work he'd been reading. "I can't, Scully, I mean I couldn't." Mulder fumbled for words. "Yes you can. Look it's my family's beach house. Please, Mulder. It's too big for one person to stay there." Dana pleaded. "Okay, Scully, I'll go." Mulder finally answered. "Oh great! I'll show you all the sights. You'll love Cape May. There are a lot of haunted houses down there." Scully replied knowing that would get Mulder excited. "Really?" he asked a smile starting to form on his lips. "Uh-huh." Scully nodded. Scully gave him the details on what to bring and what time to be at her house on Thursday. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS,MD MARCH 28, 10 AM Mulder pulled into her driveway at 10:00 AM on the dot. He was actually excited to be going with Scully. He swore not to make any uncalled moves on her. That would ruin her vacation, and their partnership. He didn't want that. "Morning, Mulder. Let's get your stuff into my car." Scully called as she walked out of her apartment complex. Mulder couldn't help but to stare at her. She was wearing an un-Scully like outfit. It consisted of an expensive-looking hunter green winter jacket and a pair of dark jeans. A baggy sweater that matched the color of her winter jacket showed as Scully leaned down to the driver side window of Mulder's car. Her hair was pulled back and secured with a hunter green scrunchie. Green, Mulder sighed. Why did she have to wear green? She looked so damn good in green. "Your car? I thought we'd take mine." Mulder curiously asked her. "I want to drive. Is that okay with you?" Dana asked. "Yeah, sure." Mulder answered. In fact he was elated that she wanted to drive. While she concentrated on looking at the road, He could concentrate on staring at her. Fifteen minutes later they pulled out of the parking lot and started north for New Jersey. THE SCULLY BEACH HOUSE CAPE MAY, NJ MARCH 28, 5:00 PM "Do you like Cape May so far?" Dana inquired walking into the family room. "Yeah, it's a neat place. I can't believe we ate lunch in a haunted restaurant." Mulder replied. He loved everything about Cape May. He stretched on the couch. It was a very comfortable couch. The Scully beach house was known as an "upside down house". That's the style of most of the houses on this particular street. The three bedrooms and living room were downstairs and the kitchen and family room were upstairs. Dana had just finished turning down the beds in the two bedrooms that were across from each other. "Oh, y'know what? If we hurry we can make it out to Sunset Beach just in time to see the sun go down!" Scully excitedly realized They hopped into her car and left for the beach. SUNSET BEACH CAPE MAY, NJ MARCH 28, 5;15 PM Dana and Mulder jumped out of the car and raced towards the beach. The sun was low, but not out of sight. "We have a good five minutes." Dana informed Mulder. She spread a blanket on the beach and she and Mulder sat Indian style on it. "This is what the shore is all about." Dana sighed breathing in the salt air and letting the wind blow her bangs off her face. Mulder watched the sun as a cloud passed by in front. The cloud became a deep auburn color, almost matching Dana's hair. He fell in love with that color instantly. "There it goes." Dana whispered as the sun sank into the horizon line. She snuggled close to Mulder because it became chilly. "Wow, I never realized how beautiful a sunset could be," Mulder breathed. Scully stared out into the water as if looking for something. She uncrossed her legs and sat on her knees as if trying to get a closer look at the water. "Ready to go, Scully?" Mulder asked. "No, not just yet," she answered still looking out into the water. He uncrossed his legs and sat on his knees too, trying to figure out what she was looking at. Mulder couldn't handle having her so close to him.. Her eyes grew dark and mysterious as the night turned the same. Her hair shimmered and whipped about with the strong wind. The smell of her was very intoxicating. He was very aroused and could feel the throbbing start in his pants. She shifted a little and accidentally brushed her elbow against his groin. He tried to hold it, but he felt the wetness soak the front of his boxers. He leaned in to kiss her, and was startled when she abruptly stood up, unaware of his next action. "Okay, I'm ready now." Dana almost chirped. She helped Mulder up. Luckily it was dark and Dana couldn't see the wet stain that began to show through Mulder's jeans. The darkness also hid the red in his cheeks. Back at the beach house, Mulder quickly raced into the house mumbling something about having to pee and darted into the bathroom. Dana headed up the stairs taking two at a time and settled on the couch. She flipped on the T.V. Mulder came up soon after and sat across from her on a matching love seat. `What you watching?" Mulder asked. "The news," Dana replied. Mulder picked up a Reader's Digest off the table and began to flip through it. The two spent a cozy night in the house. THE SCULLY'S BEACH HOUSE CAPE MAY, NJ MARCH 30, 1: 00 PM The phone rang loudly throughout the house. "I'll get it!" Scully called from the living room. She picked up the phone on the coffee table. "Hello?" she answered cautiously. No one had this number except for her mother. "Hello, is this Dana Scully?" the voice asked. "Yes, this is her." Dana answered getting a little unnerved. "Hi, this is Jessica Collins." the voice introduced herself. "I'm sorry, but I don't know you." Dana replied almost ready to hang up the phone. "I'm part of the Allentown chapter of M.U.F.O.N." Jessica explained. "Oh, I see. Why did you call? How did you get this number?" Dana demanded. " Miss Scully, Clara McAllister died last night. Two others have been diagnosed. I heard you and Clara were acquaintances so I thought I'd let you know." Jessica informed Scully. Dana turned pale and began to tremble. It was happening again. Mulder had come into the room to see who was on the phone. "Scully? What is it?" Mulder asked concerned after seeing the color drained out of her face. Dana dropped the phone. Mulder rushed to her side. "Nothing, Mulder. I saw a huge spider on the wall and it freaked me out." Dana lied. Mulder knew she was lying too, but didn't press her. he left sensing this phone call was a private matter. "Miss Scully, are you there?" Jessica asked. "Yea-Yes I dropped the phone, sorry. When is the funeral?" Dana asked pulling a pad of paper and a pen towards her. She had to go to this funeral. "It is on Tuesday, but it is for family and friends only-no M.U.F.O.N. members allowed. They don't want us there." Jessica continued. "Oh, I see." Dana answered. "What I really called to ask you is that on Wednesday we will be holding a special M.U.F.O.N. ceremony at her grave and we were wondering if you'd be able to attend." Jessica revealed her intentions of the call. "I'll be there." Dana assured Jessica before hanging up. Mulder heard her put down the phone and went in to see what the trouble was. `Scully? What-' he began. "I'm, uh, going to go and walk on the beach. I need to be alone." Dana softly told him and walked out the sliding glass door and bounded down the wooden steps. He watched from the doors as she began down the grassy path that led to the beach. He put his arm up on the door for support and then rested his head on it. Mulder paced around the room waiting for her to come back. An hour passed before he went out on the beach to look for her. When Mulder reached the beach, he saw a figure sitting along the rock jetty. He jogged over towards the jetty and could make out the petite figure to be Dana Scully. "Hey,Scully," Mulder greeted. He decided not to bring up the phone call. If she wanted to discuss it with him she would bring it up herself. He climbed up onto the rocks and sat down next to Scully. She had her knees curled up to her chest and had her head propped up on her elbows which were resting on her knees. "Just now I realized how empty my life really is." Dana replied without a salutation. "Scully, you're life isn't empty. You have your mom, your brothers, me...and the list could continue. You are far from alone. If you want to talk about someone that is really alone let's talk about me. I have no one. No one except for you." Mulder sighed. "I just want to find someone to make me happy and to love me. Now that Gary is gone, I don't have that." Dana replied staring deep into the ocean. "Scully, I don't have anyone either," Mulder reminded her. "But you have had them in the past Mulder. Gary wasn't even close to Phoebe, or Kristen, or Dr. Bambi." Dana explained to Mulder. Mulder had no answer for her. They sat silent for a few minutes before Mulder knew that Scully was crying. "Mulder, I'm dying" Dana informed him through her tears. "Wha-" Mulder started his heart twisting into a knot. "We're all dying" Scully moaned. "Did someone from M.U.F.O.N. call? Is that what has you all upset?" Mulder asked. Dana nodded. "Clara McAllister died yesterday and two other people have been diagnosed." Dana explained. "I'm sorry about Clara. I know you talked to her on occasion. Scully, just because she died doesn't mean you will." Mulder tried to sooth her. "The whole chapter is going to drop like flies. And I'm going to die alone." Dana informed Mulder. Without thinking, Mulder pulled her into his arms and rocked her gently against his body. Dana made no attempt to pull away. "As long as you have me you won't be alone." Mulder softly told her. He pulled her slightly from him so he could look at her. Dana starred up into his warm loving eyes and all the feelings flooded back into her heart. Mulder kissed each of her tear-stained cheeks before connecting his lips to hers. Hungrily, Dana kissed back. He pulled back to release her from the kiss but she refused to let go. She took her arms and wrapped them behind his neck and continued to press against his lips. She released him only when she realized he needed air. "Dana, I've felt this way about you for sometime, now. I want to show you how much you mean to me. I want to make love to you. " Mulder suggested after catching his breath. Dana just looked at him with passion filled blue eyes. "I want to get as close to you as I can. I want to fill your soul with the love it deserves. I need to know...is that what you want?" Mulder continued. Dana nodded, her lips aching for another kiss. She reached up and touched his lips to make sure it was he who she had kissed. "Mulder," Dana started. "Fox, call me Fox" Mulder insisted. "But you hate that," Dana protested. "I hate that from anyone, but you." Mulder corrected her. "Fox, let's go back to the house." Dana suggested. Mulder nodded. He stood up and then helped her up. They walked back to the house hand in hand. As soon as Mulder had shut the door securely behind him, Dana tried to egg him into the bedroom. "Tonight, Dana. I want it to be special." Mulder smiled. "But..." Dana protested. Mulder shushed her by kissing her. "I promise. Tonight is our night." Mulder answered. "So what am I supposed to do until then?" Dana asked disappointed. "Get ready. I'm taking you out for dinner." Mulder informed her. "Where?" Dana asked curious. "By The Sea. I read in that little restaurant guide I picked up that they have excellent entrees." Mulder answered. "Mulder, you obviously didn't read the prices because if you had read the prices you wouldn't be serious about going there." Dana replied with a smile. "They can't be too outrageous. I have been saving up to take you out to dinner. I've been waiting a long time for tonight." Mulder assured her. "You will not spend that much money on dinner." Dana stated flatly. "Okay, how about a compromise? If the food is really outrageously priced than we'll leave. Deal?" Mulder suggested. "Deal." Scully smiled. She went into her room to get ready. THE SCULLY'S BEACH HOUSE CAPE MAY, NJ MARCH 30, 6:00 PM "Come on, Scully, we're going to be late!" Mulder called from the hallway. She peaked her head out the door of her bedroom. "Close your eyes cause I want to go upstairs and make a grand entrance coming son the stairway." Dana smiled. Mulder let out and exasperated sigh as he shut his eyes. "No peaking!" Dana exclaimed running past him and bolting up the stairs. Mulder smelled the faint sent of her perfume and nearly went wild. He'd have to remember to tell her that he loved being blindfolded. It was a major turn on to him. "Okay! I'm coming down!" Scully announced and Mulder opened his eyes. When Scully came into view, his jaw fell open. Scully was decked out in a elegant green velvet gown. She had worn it to her sister's wedding not two years earlier. The back was totally open and the form fitting garment softly accented each curve on her body. The dress ended at her ankles. She looked incredibly gorgeous. Scully laughed when she saw his mouth drop open. Mulder looked incredibly sexy in the tux that he had rented for the special evening. "You like?" Dana asked. She thought Mulder would get sick of her wearing green all the time, but it was the only dress that she had stored in the beach house. "Where did you get that?" Mulder asked her after getting his voice back. "We have a bunch of stored dresses down here. This is the only one of mine, but there are a lot of Melissa's and Mom's outfits. It's easier to store them up here because mom doesn't have any room in the house" Dana explained. "I hope you don't mind that it's green. I realize that I've worn mostly green up here-" Dana apologized. "No, I love green. Green is good. Green is good on you." Mulder broke in. Green was a turn on as well for him. "Well, handsome, are we ready?" Dana asked with a smile. Mulder held out his arm and she entwined her arm in his. BY THE SEA RESTAURANT CAPE MAY, NJ MARCH 30, 8:30 PM The food was expensive and the service was slow. Dana and Mulder had just finished their dinner and coffee and wanted the check. "Waiter," Mulder called for the fifteenth time, but was once more ignored. A few minuted later Mulder called out again. "Yes, sir?" the waiter asked. "Please may we have the bill?" Mulder asked. He was anxious to take Scully back to the house. Dana was getting antsy as well. She wanted to leave as much as Mulder did; maybe even a bit more. "Of course, sir." the waiter smiled and handed him the bill. Dana watched Mulder's eyes almost pop out of their sockets. "Are you sure that decimal point is in the right place?" Mulder asked with a nervous laugh. The waiter glanced over Mulder's shoulder and studied the bill. "I am sorry. That is another tables bill." the waiter replied and fished another bill out of his shirt pocket. "This looks about right" Mulder replied after looking at it. Mulder whipped out a credit card and handed it to the waiter. "Mulder, are you sure you have enough?" Dana asked in a low voice. "It's taken care of, Scully, relax." Mulder answered. The waiter came back and Mulder hastily signed the credit card slip. He and Scully almost ran to the parking lot to give the valet guy the ticket. "If he takes one moment longer." Mulder cursed after about two minutes. The driver pulled up and Scully and Mulder hastily got in the car and they drove back to the house. THE SCULLY'S BEACH HOUSE CAPE MAY, NJ MARCH 30, 10:30 PM Dana and Mulder reached the Scully's house in record time. They both had wicked grins on their faces. "Let me slip into something more....comfortable." Dana smiled seductively. "Yeah, I'll change too. Meet me in the master bedroom." Mulder instructed her. She slipped into her bedroom and he quickly jumped into his and practically ripped the tux off of him. He flew into a pair of boxers and his New York Nix basketball tank and went to the master bedroom. He had already prepared for their night. He lit the candles he had already arranged all over the room. He sat on the bed and waited...wondering what she'd wear....what she liked to have done to her. "Mulder?" Dana asked coming into the room. Mulder looked up shaken out of his thoughts. He licked his lips at the sight of her in a fire-engine red silk nightgown that only covered down to the top of her thighs. "Oh, Scully." Mulder moaned. The red negligee turned him on even more than her green sweater. "It's Fox and Dana now. Not Mulder and Sully." Dana breathed as she sat down next to him. "Are you still sure you want to do this?" Mulder asked. She nodded and sprawled out on the bed. Mulder towered over her and showered her with kisses from her forehead to her toes and every inch of skin in between. He went back and forcefully pushed his tongue into her mouth and she gladly accepted it. Dana lazily entered her tongue in his mouth and Mulder gave it a warm welcome. Dana encircled her arms around Mulder's back and pulled him closer. She thrusted her hips; grinding her body against his and Mulder let out a moan of pleasure. Dana never heard a sexier sound. Mulder pulled at the nightgown in frustration. It wouldn't shift far enough for Mulder's hands to explore her breasts. Dana forced Mulder onto his back and she got up off the bed. "Dana? Where are you going?" Mulder asked afraid that she was leaving. She opened a drawer and produced a pair of handcuffs. She wickedly sauntered back to the bed. She straddled Mulder and took hold of one of his hands. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can be used against you in the court of law.You-"Dana read his rights but was cut off as Mulder threw all his weight against her and reversed their positions. "Dana, what do you think you're doing?" Mulder asked and swiped the handcuffs from her. He proceeded to handcuff her to the headboard. Both of her hands were loosely cuffed with the chain locked around a beautiful hand carved spindle. "Fox, get them off of me. I was supposed to handcuff you." Dana laughed. Mulder leaned in to kiss her but she pulled her face away from his lips. "Uh uh uh...stop misbehaving or I'll have to punish you." Mulder scolded. He slid off the bed and just stared at Scully in her red nightgown handcuffed to the bed. Mulder felt the throbbing in his boxers start again. He returned to his straddling position and pushed her little silk negligee up to her stomach. She pulled her legs up into a fetal position. Mulder softly caressed her legs and her thighs. He slowly parted them and let his head sink into her pelvis. The warmth of his tongue mixed with her wetness made Dana cry out in ecstasy. Dana ran her hands through Mulder's hair as he continued nibbling on the sensitive sexual parts of her lower torso. Mulder tasted the sweet dampness of her sexual juices around his tongue and heard her cry out in ecstasy again. Mulder pulled away kissing her inner thighs. He pulled off his tank. "Fox, set me free." Dana pleaded. Mulder debated and then relented by unhandcuffing her. She showed her gratitude by slipping off the tiny red garment and throwing her arms around him. Mulder reached up and pommeled her voluptuous breasts. He brought them up to his mouth and sucked on each nipple until he could feel the hardness set in. Dana felt a warmth emanate from her stomach and began to claw at his boxers. She grabbed at them and they dropped to the floor on her second try. Mulder wanted to melt inside her; to get as close as he could to her. In one swift movement he was inside her; pumping and grinding against her hips. "Fox....Fox...." Dana called over and over as he brought her to new heights. She felt his gentle movements within her and a wave of ecstasy rippled over her body making her quiver. Her body became aware of every move Mulder made. Dana couldn't hold on any longer. She thrusted herself against Mulder sending him deeper and deeper inside her. Mulder felt her nails dig into his back and knew that her climax had come. He pumped harder and harder making Dana cry out. He felt her dampness grow and he was sent off the edge to climax only a few seconds later. Her wetness dripped all the way down to his base and he released sending sperm and other fluids into her fertile bed. "Oh, Fox" Dana panted. Mulder collapsed against her. A few seconds later the couple had gotten a surge of energy for one more final passionate kiss before ending the night's affair. They both showered and changed before laying back down on the bed where they had just consummated their relationship. Dana laid down and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. Mulder followed soon after seeking sleep with Dana in his arms. THE SCULLY'S BEACH HOUSE CAPE MAY, NJ MARCH 31, 9:00 AM Mulder rolled over and yawned. He had the most amazing dream last night. Sure, he had had dreams like it before; but this dream seemed so real to him. Mulder sat up and scratched his head. That's when the silky fire-engine red nightgown caught his eye on the edge of the bed. It hadn't been a dream after all. Mulder collapsed back onto the bed embracing himself while remembering the way she felt in his arms. She smelled so good and every move she made sent him to ecstasy. He heard some commotion in the hallway and walked awkwardly to the bedroom door. "Dana?" Mulder called as she brushed coldly past him. She didn't respond. He followed her into the bedroom she was originally going to sleep in. "Good morning," Mulder smiled. Dana just looked at him; then glared at him. "What?" Mulder asked beginning to panic. "Last night was a mistake." Dana flatly responded. "Wha-No, it wasn't" Mulder answered in a gentle tone. "Yes it was. I let my heart rule over my head. It was a mistake." Dana responded turning colder with every word. "Dana, I'm in love with you. It's okay to let your feelings out. I feel the same way you feel about me." Mulder tried to get her to take back her harsh words. "It's not that...I can't let you love me." Dana shook her head. "Why can't I love you? I already do..." Mulder trailed off wondering what her answer would be. "Because-because I'm dying- and when I die you'll be left alone- I don't want that." Dana sighed throwing her green sweater in a bag. "You have no power over my feelings. You can't command me to stop feeling this way about you. I'll never stop loving you" Mulder retorted. "Wanna make a bet?" Scully angrily asked zipping up her suitcase. She yanked it off the bed and dragged it down the hall towards the front door. "Scully, where are you going?" Mulder asked. Dana left the house. Mulder punched the wall. He heard a car start and ran out of the house and jumped the porch's railing. Dana began to pull away. "Scully! Damn it! Don't leave!" Mulder shouted as she continued to back up. She pulled the car back into drive and sped down the street leaving Mulder in the dust. "Damn it! Damn it Damn it!" Mulder shouted once he was back into the house. How the hell was he supposed to get home? How would he find Scully? A light bulb went off in his mind and he knew just who to call. "Hello?" the voice at the other end answered the ringing phone "Hi, Mrs. Scully. it's Fox." Mulder replied. "Fox? Is something wrong? Is Dana okay?" Mrs. Scully asked. "Dana left. I don't know where she went. She packed up her things and left me stranded down here." Fox explained. "Oh, my. Don't worry Fox. I'll come get you." Mrs. Scully replied. "Thanks, Mrs. Scully. I hate to bother you." Fox replied truthfully. "It's no bother, Fox. And please, call me Mom." Margaret insisted. MULDER'S APARTMENT (APARTMENT #42) ALEXANDRIA,VA MARCH 31,3:00 PM Mrs. Scully had dropped him off not too long ago. They had stopped for lunch and discussed Dana's behavior the whole car ride home. Mulder felt bad, but he had to tell Dana's mom what they did last night. She had to know so that she could help Mulder find her. Mulder was at a lost. Dana hadn't called him on his cell phone or left a message for him on his answering machine. He wasn't really expecting to hear from her, but he hoped she would have called. "Where the hell did you go, Dana?" Mulder cried out in frustration. He thought back on the Cape May vacation. The phone call....The M.U.F.O.N death...Allentown....Yes! That's where she had to be! Mulder raced for the phone and got in touch with the Pennsylvania operator who connected him to Jessica McAllister's place. THE M.U.F.O.N HEADQUARTERS (JESSICA COLLINS' HOUSE) ALLENTOWN,PA MARCH 31, 3:10 PM "Hello?" Jessica answered the phone. "Hello, Ms. Collins. This is Agent Fox Mulder I was wondering if Agent Dana Scully is there?" the voice asked. Jessica looked at Dana and mouthed the word "Mulder" to her. `I'm not here....You aren't expecting me." Dana panicked thinking of what Jessica should say. "I'm sorry, Agent Mulder. Agent Scully is not here and she phoned to say she couldn't make it after all." Jessica lied. "Oh, well. If you hear from her. Tell her I'm sorry." Mulder sighed disappointed. "Will do, Agent Mulder. Good bye." Jessica smiled and hung up the phone. "He said he was sorry. Whatever that means...." Jessica told Scully. Dana pulled herself into a hug. She knew she shouldn't have run from him. That was a mistake. She couldn't face him, she couldn't go back. ST. ABBEY CEMETERY ALLENTOWN, PA APRIL 4, 9:00 PM The forty M.U.F.O.N. members gathered around Clara McAllister's grave. Dana shivered as a gust of cold lonely April air hit her in the back. The flame finally reached her and she lifted her candle to receive the flame from the person next to her. She continued to pass the candle and soon the whole circle of members was a glow in candle light. Jessica began to speak and Dana tried really hard to listen, but to no avail. Her thoughts drifted onto Mulder. That night was magical. Her candle's flame flickered and she remembered how wonderfully handsome Mulder looked in candle light. The smell of hot wax began to make her remember his touch, his words. Dana blew out her candle and walked away from the group. The young woman, Raven, next to her came up to her. "Dana, it's okay. We all miss her." Raven comforted. "I have to leave. I have to leave" Dana blindly repeated to her. "Okay, I'll take you back to the house." Raven answered and accompanied her out of the graveyard. M.U.F.O.N. HEADQUARTERS (JESSICA COLLIN'S HOUSE) ALLENTOWN,PA APRIL 4, 2:00 AM Dana tossed and turned and sleep would not come. Jessica was gracious enough to let her stay the night. Dana had some things to think about before leaving Allentown. Finally, she gave up and insomnia won again for the second night in a row. She got up and crossed the room to her huge duffel bag. Dana reached in and fumbled to find her walkman. She proudly produced it seconds later. "Soothing music always helps me sleep." Dana reminded herself. She placed the earphones against her ears and adjusted the headphones to stay on her head. Dana laid back in her bed and flipped on the radio. Static first greeted her since she had D.C. stations programed into the memory, but it didn't take her long to find the Allentown station that carried a syndicated radio show of love songs and dedications appropriately name Love Songs in the Night. Dana loved to listen to this particular program. "And that was `In Your Eyes' by Peter Gabriel. Our next song is a very special dedication. Hello, caller are you there?" the D.J. asked in his deep baritone voice. "Yes, I'm here." the male voice answered. "Who's this?" the D.J. asked. "Fox" the male voice answered. Dana shot up. It sounded like him, but it couldn't be him. "And Fox, what made you call up Love Songs in the Night?"the D.J. asked. "I lost my best friend." Fox somberly stated. "I'm sorry, how did it happen?" the D.J. asked trying to piece together the story. "I made love to her and she left me in the morning." Fox answered with a little irritation in his voice. "Do you have any idea why she left?" the D.J. questioned Fox. "She said it was a mistake. I just wanted her to know that I still love her and I can't stop." Fox stated. "Well, hopefully she is listening right now and heard you." the D.J. responded. "Here's Bryan Adam's `Please Forgive Me' to Dana from Fox." the D.J announce and the soft melody that Dana knew all too well floated through her headphones. "Still feels like the first time we're together , feels like the first kiss It's getting better, baby, no one could better this Still holdin' on, you're still the one First time our eyes met, Same feelin' I get Only feels much stronger I wanna love you longer You still turn the fire on So if you're feelin lonely don't You're the only one I ever want I just wanna make it good So if I love you a little more than I should Please Forgive me I know not what I do Please Forgive me I can't stop lovin' you Don't deny me this pain I'm goin through Please forgive me for I need you like I do Please believe me for all I say is true Please forgive me I can't stop lovin you...." Dana shut off the radio and began to sob. She didn't realize how much she had hurt him. She stared at the ceiling and whispered "God, what have I done?". She thumbed the cross that she always wore. Hoping that God would send her a sign. Dana debated whether or not to turn the radio back on and decided to turn it on since the song would most probably be over. She was wrong. "Please Forgive me I know not what I do Please Forgive me I can't stop lovin' you Don't deny me this pain I'm goin through Please forgive me for I need you like I do Oh believe me for all I say is true Please forgive me I can't stop lovin you The one thing I'm sure of Is the way we made love The one thing I depend on Is for us to stay strong With every right and every breath I'm prayin That's why I'm sayin...." "I can't take this." Dana sobbed. She turned on the light on the night table and reached for the phone. MARGARET SCULLY'S HOUSE UNKNOWN APRIL 4, 2:25 AM "Hello?" a groggy Mrs. Scully answered her phone. "Mom, it's Dana" Dana mumbled in between huge sobs. "Dana, honey, it's two thirty in the morning. What is the matter?" Margaret asked. She knew exactly what was wrong. Fox had told her every detail of their Cape May vacation, even about what drove her daughter to leave. "It's Mul-Fox. He and I had a falling out. A really horrible argument. I ran from him." Dana explained with many holes in her story. "I know all about it, Dana." her mother wisely answered. "How did-" Dana asked shocked. "I drove him back to D.C. from Cape May after you left him stranded there. We had to talk about some things on the way back." Margaret answered with a smile on her lips. She imagined Dana's expression, pursed lips and a hand on her hip. She knew her daughter too well. "Just how much did he tell you?" Dana asked with a bit of anger. The tears had stopped and she had gotten back in control of her feelings. "Everything. Dana, you're breaking his heart." her mother replied. "I-He'll see in the end this was the best solution." Dana tried to rationalize. She heard her mother sigh heavily and then yawn. "Mom, would it be okay if I spent a couple weeks with you?" Dana asked softly. "Honey, I don't think seeking haven in this house is the right thing to do." Margaret advised. "I don't give a damn about the right thing to do. Can I stay?" Dana snapped and then softened. "You're always welcome to come home, Dana. You know you don't have to ask that." Dana's mother relented. "Mom, I'm sorry I snapped. I'm a little edgy right now." Dana apologized. "It's okay, dear. It's understandable. Dana, what about work? You have to let Skinner know that you're taking some time off." Dana's mother lastly reminded her. "You're right, but I know if I tell Skinner anything, Mulder will end up finding out." Dana sighed. She heard her mother yawn again. "I'm sorry I woke you up, Mom. Go back to bed now. I'll take care of calling Skinner in the morning. I should be at home around one in the afternoon." Dana informed her mother before hanging up. Dana let her head fall to her pillow and instantly she was sound asleep. F.B.I. HEADQUARTERS WASHINGTON, D.C. APRIL 5, 10:00 AM "Sir, you wanted to see me?" Agent Mulder asked intrigued about being called into the Assistant Director's office almost first thing in the morning. "Yes, I wanted to let you know that Agent Scully has decided to take a leave of absence from the bureau." Skinner informed Mulder rocking gently in his leather chair. "For how long?" Agent Mulder asked prying for information. "Indefinitely." Skinner answered clasping his hands together. "Sir, why?" Mulder asked quickly. "She didn't say. And I'm not at liberty to discuss this anymore. Apparently, she wants nothing more to do with you, Agent Mulder." Skinner drew his own conclusion from the talk that he and Dana had shared on the phone not too much earlier. Mulder, defeated, walked out of Skinner's office when dismissed. F.B.I. BUILDING WASHINGTON, D.C. APRIL 5, 4:45 PM A knock startled Mulder and brought his mind back to earth. He couldn't stop thinking about Scully. "Come in...if you're not afraid to see the one and only Spooky Mulder." Mulder sarcastically answered the knock. He jumped up realizing that it might be Scully. Agent Dixon poked her head in the door. "Is that anyway to get people to visit you down here?" she smiled. "No one ever visits down here." Mulder replied returning to some reading. "Agent Mulder, you never let me repay you for driving me home that night. I want to take you out for dinner. Could you go tonight?" Agent Dixon asked hopefully. "Um-no, I can't. I should stay by the phone in case Scully calls." Mulder sighed. "Still no word? I thought she would have at least have told you about her plans on leaving." Agent Dixon replied trying to make conversation. "N-How do you know that she took leave?" Mulder asked. "Word gets around the building fast. You of all people should know that, Spooky." Agent Dixon laughed. Mulder looked up and smiled at her. Agent Dixon's hazel eyes sparkled with laughter. He momentarily forgot all about Dana Scully. "Y'know what? I think I'll take you up on your dinner offer after all." Mulder confidently replied. "Great! Come by my desk in a half hour and we can go." Agent Dixon smiled. "Agent Dixon-" Mulder started. "Call me Sarah." Agent Dixon interrupted. "Sarah, do you want people to know that you're going to have dinner with me?" Mulder asked checking. Most people would tell him to wait outside and they would meet him there. They were embarrassed to be seen with the F.B.I.'s most unwanted. "No, I want everyone to see I'm not so spooked of Spooky Mulder." Agent Dixon replied and left his office. Mulder rested his chin on his hand. He loved the way she said the word "spooky". JOE'S DINER ANNAPOLIS,MD APRIL 5, 5:45 PM "I've never had a better burger." Mulder sighed after his delicious dinner. "I know they are amazing, aren't they?" Sarah Dixon replied feeling stuffed. "I'm really glad you came with me tonight." Sarah smiled. "Me too." Mulder smiled back. "Fox, I have a confession to make." Sarah bit her lip in the same fashion Scully did, but Scully was the least thing Mulder was thinking about. "What?" Mulder asked curiously. "I, um, feel very attracted to you. I want to go out again." Sarah replied letting a huge breath out after getting that off of her chest. "Sure, Sarah. I really like being with you." Mulder smiled. Sarah looked down at her hands and Mulder compulsively reached over the table and kissed her tenderly. Sarah knew that she and Fox would become very close. MARGARET SCULLY'S HOUSE UNKNOWN APRIL 15, 5:30 PM "Here's some soup, Dana." Margaret Scully called entering Dana's bedroom. Dana was staring out the huge picture window. She turned slowly and saw her mom trying to steadily carry the soup on a tray to her. Dana accepted the tray when her mother handed it to her. She breathed in the warm scent of chicken noodle soup. "Thanks, Mom. I love chicken noodle." Dana smiled. Her mother nodded and sat down on her bed while Dana took the first few sips carefully. "Dana, it's time to talk." her mother stated. "I know. I've decided what I'm going to do." Dana replied. Her mother waited for her to swallow a spoonful of soup. "I'm going to go back to work." Dana replied. "Just because Gloria saw Mulder and another woman together, doesn't mean anything." Margaret Scully replied tentatively. She knew this was still a touchy subject with her daughter. "I know. Believe me, Mom, it wouldn't be anything. Mulder loves me and I love him." Dana replied. Margaret was happy that her daughter was starting to cope with he true feelings about her partner. Dana lifted up the bowl and finished her soup. "So when are you leaving?" her mother asked. "I think I'll go tonight and surprise Mulder at work tomorrow." Dana decided. She pulled her duffel bag out from underneath the bed and stuffed her clothes in it. Soon after, she was all packed. She hauled the heavy bag downstairs. "Bye, Mom. Thanks for letting me stay." Dana smiled giving her mother a huge hug. "Oh, you're welcome to come home anytime. Don't be a stranger, now. Call me when you get home." Dana's mother warned. "I will, I promise." Dana answered and with that she left her childhood home. SOMEWHERE ON THE INTERSTATE MARYLAND APRIL 15, 7:00 PM. It was really dark on the strip of highway Dana was driving along. An occasional car passed her going the opposite direction. A rain drop splattered on her windshield signaling the predicted storm was about to hit. Dana turned on her wipers as the rain got heavier and heavier with each passing second. She turned the radio up so she could here it over the rain. Gloria Estefan's "Live for Lovin' You" started and Dana began to sing along thinking of Mulder. She got so involved with singing a long to the radio she didn't see the cop come up behind her. He was flashing his lights. Dana pulled over and rolled down her window as little as possible to keep from getting wet. "Excuse me, ma'm, please get out of the car." the officer instructed. "I'm sorry, sir. I was getting carried away listening to the radio. Was I speeding?" Dana asked. "Get out of the car, please." the officer repeated. Dana sighed and slowly got out of her car and got soaked by the rain. "Stupid girl." the officer muttered and took his gun and hit her in the temple. Dana collapsed to the ground unconscious. The officer picked her up in his arms and rode off with her in his trunk. MARGARET SCULLY'S HOUSE UNKNOWN APRIL 21, 1:00 PM Margaret Scully was relieved to find a letter from Dana sitting in her mailbox when she opened the lid. She immediately embraced all the mail into her arms and carried it into her kitchen. Margaret immediately tore open the letter from Dana. She hadn't heard from Dana since she had left. She unfolded the letter and read it quickly. "Dear Mom, I'm sorry I haven't called in awhile. As soon as I got back to work, Assistant Director Skinner offered me a teaching job in Europe. Of course, I took it. I'm leaving on the 22nd. I don't know when I'll be able to write to you or call you because I'll be jumping from country to country on spur of he moment. I hope you won't miss me too much. I love you, Mom. I'll try to write again soon. Love always, Dana" Margaret sighed with relief. She was so worried about Dana. Now, she knew that she was okay. F.B.I. BUILDING WASHINGTON, D.C. MAY 1, 2:00PM "Knock, knock." a familiar female voice called. Mulder stood from his chair a wide grin on his face. Sarah Dixon entered his office and ran into his arms. "I've missed you." Mulder whispered into her ear. He nestled his face into her hair. She smelled good. "Fox, it's only been two hours since we had lunch." Sarah laughed. "I know, I get so lonely down here." Fox whined. "What happened to Agent Dragan?" Sarah asked in surprise. "She didn't have the balls to do this job." Mulder grimaced. "So far the only partner who you liked is Agent Scully. I know it's hard, but you have to face the facts. She's gone and you need to replace her. I don't like you going out on cases alone. I worry about you Fox." Sarah blurted out. Fox pulled away from her. "Sarah, I'll be fine. I have accepted the fact that Scully's gone. I promise the next partner I get I'll try by best to keep him or her to stay." Fox smiled at Sarah. He saw the doubtful look in her eyes. "Cross my heart." Fox added and wrapped Sarah into his arms. "Fox, I can't believe this is all happening so fast. I mean a month ago I barely knew you. Now-" Sarah started. "I know, believe me. The chemistry we have is incredible." Fox added. "it's a little scary, too." Sarah whispered. "I know, but as long as we're together, everything will be okay. Now, how about that kiss you promised me earlier." Fox finished the conversation. Sarah looked up into his bright brown eyes. "I love you" Sarah breathed. There she had said it. She had been waiting for the right moment. Mulder looked surprised then he smiled widely. "That's the first time you've told me that." Fox grinned. "It's the truth." Sarah replied. She sucked in her breath waiting for him to repeat those same three words. He didn't. Instead, Mulder just left a peck on her check and sat back down. Bewildered, Sarah dragged her feet towards the door. "Oh, and Sarah." Mulder called. "Yes?" Sarah asked in a soft tone. "I love you, too." Mulder answered. He stood back up and watched the smile form on her lips. She raced back over to him and kissed him forcefully on the lips. One kiss turned into a second kiss and before she knew what was happening he was mounting her ready to insert his tense male muscle. "Fox, we can't do this here." Sarah gasped feeling the head on his large rod enter her lips. "Why not? No one comes down here. No one will hear us." Mulder rationalized. And with one swift agile move, he was inside her. Making sweet love to her on Scully's old desk. Sarah moaned as he brought her to her climax. It had been less then twenty four hours since they had last consummated their relationship. She let out a tiny little cry and thrusted against him harder, sending him deeper inside of her. He felt his sac slam against her lips and realized she had his full length inside of her. He looked down and saw her juices begin to leak out onto him and the desk. His muscle began to rapidly throb. He pumped harder and tried to suffocate himself in her hair. When it was all over, he pulled out and pulled up his boxers. Sarah pulled up her panties and smoothened out her dress suit. "That was incredible." Sarah breathed still recovering. "It was, wasn't it?" Mulder smiled. He kissed her tenderly before they both returned to their work. UNKNOWN PLACE UNKNOWN LOCATION UNKNOWN DATE OR TIME Dana felt pain in her lower abdomen. She tried to open her eyes, but her head was hurting a great deal. Finally the pain began to subside and she was able to open her eyes. The bright light made her shut her eyes immediately. Slowly she reopened them and they began to adjust to the light. She heard voices, male voices. She picked her head up off of the cold metal table. and saw that her abdomen had been expanded by some sort of pump. A violet liquid was being fed into her by an I.V. She turned her head to see an empty table to her left. She turned to the right and saw Jessica Collins unconscious on the table. The same liquid was being fed to her, but different tests were being performed. She quickly faked being still unconscious when she heard the voices drawing closer to her. "She's still out of it, Sir." one of the men said. "Good. You can turn the pump off now." another male voice answered. "It's been fourteen hours, should I give her more sedatives?" another male voice asked. "Yes, we don't want her to wake up in the middle of the next test. My favorite test of them all." the male in charge wickedly laughed. Dana wanted to scream out. What the hell was the next test? She didn't want to be sedated. "Sir, if I may speak" the male voice who asked about more sedatives began. "Go ahead." the male in charge answered. "Dana's vital signs are weak. I don't think we should giver her anymore. I guarantee she won't be up anytime soon." the male informed his superior. "Good call, Simpson. We don't want my precious beautiful Dana to slip into a coma. At least not until I have my way with her." the man in charge laughed wickedly again. Dana hoped her skin wasn't forming goose bumps to give her away. She felt the table begin to move and realized they were rolling her into another room. She opened her eyes just enough to see her surroundings. The room was dark. Except for a small blinking red light in the corner of the room. "Here we go, Dana. The last of your tests." the man stated. he was fumbling with something and then he came over to her. She still had her eyes slitted open. He was about Dana's age. He had blond hair, green eyes. He was very attractive, but Dana felt no attraction to this man who was holding her against her will for the second time. She felt his icy hand pull the sheet from her body. "This will only take a few minutes, sweet Dana." the man smiled. She felt his hands trace over her naked breasts and felt his hardness plunge into her. Dana let out a horrifying scream and sat up scaring the hell out of the man. "Get off of me!" Dana screamed. The man was angry that she had waken up. He dove on top of her and pinned her down. "You should be sedated for this. You tricked us. And for that you have to be punished. He forced himself back into her and pushed harder against her. Dana screamed out in pain. He was too large for her, but he pressed on ripping and tearing flesh as he pumped. "Please...please" Dana begged while sobbing. She felt his wetness come and it was over. He immediately injected her with some sort of drug, most probably a sedative. "Sweet dreams, my dear Dana." the man breathed. Those were the last words Dana heard before tumbling back into a deep slumber. MARGARET SCULLY'S HOUSE UNKNOWN JULY 12, 11:00 AM It had been weeks since Margaret had last heard from her daughter. She was beginning to worry and was very angry at the F.B.I. for assigning her daughter to such a grueling teaching position. Margaret had had enough and she was about to let assistant Director Skinner have a piece of her mind. "Hello, Assistant Director Skinner's office." a woman's voice answered after she had been on hold for nearly a half hour. "i would like to talk to the Assistant Director, please." Margaret replied. "Hold on one moment while I transfer your call into his office." the woman answered. "Assistant Director Skinner, here." a male voice called into the phone. "Hello, Mr. Skinner? This is Margaret Scully. Dana's mother." Margaret introduced herself. "Oh, hello, Margaret, what can I do for you?" the assistant director asked happy to hear from one of his most beloved agent's mother. "I want you to pull Dana off of that teaching position in Europe." Margaret answered. "What teaching position?" Skinner asked confused. He had no idea what Margaret was talking about. "She wrote me a letter saying that she took a teaching job in Europe." Margaret informed Skinner beginning to worry. "Mrs. Scully, Dana never came back here. The last time she was in this building was March 25." Skinner replied checking some records. "Oh, god.... She's missing!" Mrs. Scully exclaimed. "Don't panic... she probably wasn't ready to come back to work and didn't want to disappoint you. Dana doesn't like to disappoint people." Skinner tried to calm Mrs. Scully down. Just then Margaret Scully had a vision, she saw Dana lying lifelessly on a table. A surge of pain paralyzed her body. She dropped the phone. "You have to let me talk to Fox." Mrs. Scully ordered. "Agent Mulder is on assignment. There is no way to contact him at the moment. When he checks in I will be sure to tell him you called." Skinner informed Dana's mother. "I need to talk to him right now. He's the only one who'd understand."Margaret urgently spoke into the phone. "I'm sorry that I can't reach him or help you out in any way." Skinner apologized. Margaret hung up on him. She couldn't believe how Dana pledged her life to the F.B.I and now that she needed their help, they turned their backs on her. MARGARET SCULLY'S HOUSE UNKNOWN AUGUST 30, 3:00 PM Fox had never called. Margaret was disappointed. No one in the F.B.I contacted her about her daughter. She was startled when the phone rang. She ran to it, hoping Fox was on the other end. "Mom?" a voice called into the phone. "Dana? Is that you?" Margaret asked tears streaming down her face. "Oh, Mom..." Dana sobbed on the other end. "Dana, honey, where are you?" Margaret asked through her tears of happiness. "JFK Airport. I just flew in from Frankfurt." Dana informed her mom. "What were you doing in Frankfurt?" Her mother asked. "I woke up in a hospital there. Mom, they took me again." Dana revealed. She began to sob even harder. "Oh, honey...." Margaret whispered. "I'm coming home on the next flight. I'll be there in an hour or two." Dana informed her mother. "Okay, I'll meet you at the airport." her mother agreed. They hung up. Margaret had never been so relieved. MARGARET SCULLY'S HOUSE UNKNOWN AUGUST 30, 5:30 PM "Dana, I'm so glad you're home!" Margaret squealed and hugged her daughter for the millionth time to make sure she was really there, safe in her home. "Me, too. Mom, I was so scared...." Dana trailed off. Her lower lip began to tremble. "What, sweetheart?" Dana's mother coddled her. "I saw what they did to me...I know what they do to women." Dana shakily answered. "Sh...Dana....It's all over..." her mother pulled her again into her arms and rocked her. "They raped me, mom. The man responsible for my disappearances fucking raped me....." Dana cursed while sobbing. Her mother began to cry also. What did Dana do to deserve this? `It's okay, Dana, he's not here. He can't hurt you now." Margaret assured her. "Ohmygod, Mulder..." Dana suddenly cried out. She rushed to the phone. She dialed the number so familiar to her only to find that Mulder had moved and now had an unlisted number. "I've got to go to my apartment." Dana frantically stated. "Not tonight, honey. I'll drive you in the morning." Dana's mother protested. "Please, mom. I need to go." Dana begged. Her mother relented, seeing how important this was to her daughter. Five minutes later they were on the road. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT BUILDING ANNAPOLIS,MD AUGUST 30, 7:00 PM When they pulled into the parking lot of Dana's apartment building two hours later, Dana felt a sense or dread. She hadn't been here in over six months. Her apartment would be disgustingly dirty. "Thanks, mom. For the ride and all." Dana smiled and hugged and kissed her mom before stepping out of the car. "You don't want me to go up there with you?" her mother asked. `I'll be okay." Dana assured her mom. She took her keys out of her purse and entered the building. She waved as her mother pulled out of the lot. She cautiously made her way to her apartment. She wondered what it would look like. Had Mulder stayed there while she was gone? Probably not. She rounded the corner and stopped at her door. Her next door neighbor had taped up up a sign to her door telling the newspaper deliverer to drop the daily paper in front of his apartment. She inserted the key and turned the lock and pushed inward. The door eerily squeaked as it slowly opened. Her apartment was dark with the shades drawn. She put her keys down on the counter and could see six months worth of dust settled on it. She swept it off and dust went flying everywhere. Dana sneezed loudly and went to open the shades. She had a lot of work ahead of her. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD SEPTEMBER 2, 9:00 AM It had taken Dana two days to get her apartment clean. She had cleaned and cleaned until she was too exhausted to clean anymore. Her apartment was sparkling. It looked like she had been there all along. Today was the day she would trek into D.C. to see Mulder, Skinner, and the rest of her fellow agents in the building. Dana was staggering through D.C. rush hour. What would she say to Mulder when she saw him? She played the scene in her head a thousand times before reaching the bureau. As she stepped off the elevator it seemed as if everyone was staring at her. She kept her eyes forward and walked straight into Skinner's office. "Sir, I'm, uh, back." Dana informed the Assistant Director who was still stunned to see her in his office. "Agent Scully, if I may ask, where have you been?" Skinner asked. "I was, um traveling." Dana lied through her teeth. She didn't want Skinner to know the truth. Only Mulder would understand. "Agent Scully, welcome back. " Skinner smiled warmly. "Am I still assigned to work with Agent Mulder?" she asked tentatively. "Agent Mulder has driven out every partner we assigned him since you left. We finally agreed to let him work solo. The position is yours for the taking if you like because frankly no one else wants to work with him.." Skinner answered. "Sir, I would like to have my old job back." Dana smiled business like. Skinner nodded and escorted her to the door of his office. "Dana," he softly spoke before she opened the door. "Yes, sir?" Dana asked. "It's really nice to have you back." Skinner finished. Dana smiled before heading to the basement. Dana knocked softly on the door she had once been able to burst right through not so long ago. In fact waiting for his acknowledgment of someone at the door reminded her all too well of the first time she had met him. "One sec." he called. She heard some clattering and shuffling before the door swung open. He protruded and stood face to face with her, mere inches separating their bodies. "Hello, F-Mulder." Dana softly greeted him. "Scully." he grunted. His mouth twisted into a sneer and he left her standing there and went back to work. She entered the office without invitation. "I, uh, don't know what to say." Scully blurted out after five minutes of silence. "Then be silent." Mulder snapped and continued cleaning off his desk. "I can explain about everything, Mulder, if you give me a chance." Dana replied feeling his coldness. He didn't reply. "See I was heavily thinking about what happened in Cape May and then I was driving home, and-" Dana began to explain. "Save it for someone who cares !" Mulder screamed at her. The windows rattled with the boom of his voice. Dana saw the hurt in Mulder's eyes, his vulnerability. In a split second that vulnerability vanished and his eyes turned cold and emotionless. Dana could feel her heart cry out for him. She wanted to run and take him in her arms, but she knew that was not the right thing to do. "I deserved that." Dana replied. Mulder slammed his fists down on his desk and in a huff sat down in his chair. "Why did you come here?" Mulder asked coldly. "To-to work. Skinner reinstated me as your partner." Dana replied shaking. She had never seen Mulder this angry. "Skinner, sure knows how to screw me over." Mulder chuckled to himself. Dana decided she didn't have to take this shit from him. "Look, Mulder, if you think working with me is the worst thing possible, then I'll request to be transferred. I don't want to make you miserable. I don't want to be miserable." Dana replied her fiery temper flaring up. "Don't bother, today's my last day working in this division." Mulder threw in. "What?" Dana asked suddenly confused. "Yeah, I'm throwing in my towel. I'm done with all these government run conspiracies." Mulder informed Scully. "But the X files is your life. You want to seek the truth. The truth is what you live for." Scully rationalized to him. "Not anymore. I have something more to live for now." Mulder shook his head. "Like what?" Dana asked haughtily. "Like my fiancee." Mulder threw in her face. It was a wicked thing to do, but she deserved it. For all those following weeks of heartache. "Your-your fiancee?" Dana asked disbelieving. Mulder nodded with a smile on his face. "Who, may I ask, is your soon to be blushing bride?" Dana asked softly. "Sarah Dixon. Y'know, the agent you forgot to take home that one night." Mulder rubbed it in. "And you're giving up the X files for her?" Dana asked in astonishment and hurt. "Yup. I promised her that I wouldn't continue my work here. It's too dangerous.Effective today, I quit." Mulder replied quickly. "Too dangerous? Never too dangerous for Fox Mulder." Dana scoffed. "You don't understand, it's not just about me anymore. I have to think about her now. She doesn't want me to continue my work so I won't. I care about her too much to risk losing her, but, of course you wouldn't understand that. The Ice Queen has never cared that much for anyone ever before."Mulder scowled. "Are we back to that petty name calling? Am I the Ice Queen of the F.B.I.?" Dana asked incredulously. "You are the Fucking Bitch Ice Queen of the F.B.I. to be exact." Mulder replied. "Well, if you are leaving the X files I suppose I'm out of a job too." Dana sighed. "How so?" Mulder asked intrigued. "If you're leaving, they don't need me to debunk `Spooky' Mulder's theories anymore, do they now?" Dana replied haughtily leaning over his desk. Mulder felt slapped in the face. Dana spun on her heels and marched up to Skinnner's office. She burst into Skinner's office. "Agent Scully..." Skinner replied to her surprise visit. "Who the hell is that man in the basement? That is not Fox Mulder." Scully asked her temper at full steam. "Fox has had, let's say, a major attitude change." Skinner explained Mulder's new behavior. "Did you know that he's walking out of here at five o'clock and not coming back?" Scully asked seeing if Skinner would be shocked. He wasn't. "I've known about Agent Mulder's secret plans for a few weeks now. He was bound to quit any day now." Skinner replied cautiously. "Well, sir, the reason I came up here is, well, without Mulder I don't want to work on the X files anymore." Dana stated. "And this is because..." Skinner motioned her to give a reason. "My job is finished there." Dana simply replied. `How so? There are plenty of more files to go through, Agent Scully." Skinner asked. "My job was to debunk Mulder's theories and without him, well, I can't exactly debunk theories that never come up." Dana stated. "But Dana, don't you want to solve those files?" Skinner asked. "I believe every case in those files can be explained scientifically. I don't believe in paranormal experiences." Dana continued. "You're a smart agent, Agent Scully." Skinner applauded her. "I know when to leave sleeping dogs, lie." Dana finished. "Very smart indeed." Skinner repeated while musing over some papers. He pulled one out and handed it to Dana. "If you'd like there is a teaching position open at the academy. You're more than welcome to have it." Skinner offered. "What would I teach?" Dana asked. "Anatomy." Skinner replied without hesitation. "I'll take it." Dana confidently answered. "Report to this room at seven am. Your class starts in two days.' Skinner instructed giving her the sheet of paper. "Thank you, sir." Dana replied. "Your welcome. And Scully-Dana don't be a stranger." Skinner warned. "I'll visit. I promise." Dana smiled. She left his office. She breezed past Mulder who was on his way to see Skinner. DANA SCULLY's APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD SEPT 2, 8:30 PM "And that's the story." Dana finished after telling her mother all that happened. Her mother was quiet. "Mom, you there?"Dana called into the phone. She heard a whimpering. "Mom stop crying. I'm okay, really." Dana. "I wanted him to be with you Dana. I trusted him with you." Dana's mother sobbed. "I wanted him too , Mom. But things are different now. He's getting married." Dana replied holding the tears back. "Mom, I have to go....I have something cooking." Dana blurted and hung up the phone. She placed it on the stand and broke down into tears. Dana wiped the continues cascade of tears away every few seconds and slowly made her way to her bedroom. Dana collapsed onto her bed and fell asleep drowned in tears. She awoke at three in the morning and listened to the sound of the rain splash against her window pane. She thought about the first time she met Fox and how well....attracted she was to him. Of course it was easier to hide her feelings then. And that night after she exposed her naked body to him for thinking mosquito bites were something else....she felt her heart go out to him as he told her about his sister. Ever since then she wanted to throw her arms around him and let him know that she loved him and she cared, but that was strictly against the rules of the F.B.I. and it was hard enough for her to be respected because of her sex. Crossing the line with Mulder would have been the biggest mistake ever. Dana's thoughts shifted to when she started to not give a shit what agents in the F.B.I. thought of her and her nickname "Ice Queen" was born. Dana had an attitude and if anyone rubbed her the wrong way they would see her attitude up close and personal. Dana made her way into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of iced tea. Mulder loved iced tea. "You're only making this harder on yourself, Dana," she chided herself. She sipped the iced tea slowly and focused her attention on the picture frames on her mantel above her fireplace. Many consisted of her and Mulder with a few of family and other friends snaked in between. "I was so happy" Dana sighed to herself. She was the newest victim to the old saying " You don't know what you have until you lose it.". She picked up one particular picture. It was of Mulder giving her a piggy back ride at one of her family's picnics. They looked like the perfect couple even though crossing the line was far from her thoughts at the time. He looked so hot in his favorite New York Nix tee-shirt. She was dressed in a sweatshirt from the Academy. She had a hat turned backwards on her head and Mulder's hair was all tousled from an earlier game of football he shared with her brothers. If only time could reverse itself, but that was impossible unless she was with Mulder. Mulder made anything possible. The clock struck half past three and Dana decided to head back to bed trying to salvage some sleep that night. It came upon her like a wave and soon her thoughts drifted away and she sighed before falling into a deep sleep. F.B.I. ACADEMY ROOM #27 QUANTICO,VA SEPT 4, 7:00 AM Dana Scully's class filled up quickly and everyone became quiet as Dana removed her classes and carelessly threw them on her desk. "Good morning, I'm Dr. Dana Scully and I'll be teaching this class, Anatomy 301 Honors." she began. A few students looked at her questioningly then realized that they were in the wrong class and quietly left. "I assume most of you are hear to learn more about life and what makings living organisms tick. I hope to teach you all you need to know. There will be some major dissection labs and if you are squeamish about that sort of thing I suggest you drop the class now. I may be new but I know how things run around here and I will be just as demanding as other teachers. Probably more so. I expect everyone to give 110 percent and nothing less. I hope we have a good semester together. And now for the first lecture." Dana introduced. The students opened their notebooks and began to furiously write as she talked. Finally the fifty minutes were done and the twenty seven students had filed out to their next classes. Dana sat down at her desk and began preparing notes for tomorrow's lecture. She was startled as a presence leaned over her desk. She looked up in surprise and her eyes locked with the most emerald green eyes she had ever seen. She sat gazing into them for a few seconds before breaking contact. A blush crept to her checks. "Dr. Scully?" he asked. Dana nodded. "Hi I'm Dr. David Packard. I teach the other section of honors anatomy students." the man introduced himself. "Oh, hello, Dr. Packard." Dana smiled warmly. His eyes were definitely captivating. "Please call me David." Dr. Packard insisted. "Okay,David, then I insist you call me Dana." Dana replied. Dana...hearing her first name sounded very odd to her. She had been called "Scully" for the longest time. "Well, Dana, there is a meeting for all science personnel right now in room twelve. Would you like me to show you where room twelve is?"David asked. "Actually, would you mind giving me a tour of this place after the meeting? It's changed so much since I've been here." Dana asked. "Sure," David answered with a smile. He and Dana rushed to room twelve for the meeting. Dana knew she had found a close friend. F.B.I. ACADEMY ROOM #27 QUANTICO,VA 2:45, NOV 15 Dana was having a blast teaching anatomy. Her students loved her and she felt so good when she saw her students test scores and knew they had a handle on the material she covered. She sighed contently while noting that the class average was a ninety-two when someone knocked on her door. She looked up and David entered the room. "Hey, what's up?" she asked with a smile. David stuffed his hands in his pockets nervously. "Not much" David replied and stared at the ceiling. Dana shoved her papers into her attache case and stood up. She shrugged on her coat and started to walk out from behind her desk. "No, wait" David said quickly and grasped her arm. Dana fixed her collar while she waited for him to speak. "Dana, I was wondering if you'd like to get a bite to eat with me." David blurted. Dana pondered his question for a few seconds. "Okay," she answered with a little hesitation. A smile spread across David's face. "Great. I know of this wonderful sandwich shop. He gave her directions and they agreed to meet there in fifteen minutes. Dana wondered if she made the right decision. It was a harmless get together. It wasn't even a date. David was her friend-her friend and that's all. She reassured herself the whole way to the sandwich shop. F.B.I. ACADEMY ROOM #27 QUANTICO,VA DEC 15, 12:00 PM Dana Scully was busy writing and rewriting the anatomy final when the smell of pastrami lingered into her room. It made her stop and look up. David was standing there with a pastrami sandwich smiling at her. "For me?" Dana asked with sparkling eyes. David nodded and set the sandwich down in front of her. "And what did I do to deserve this?" Dana asked with a smile. "Don't you know what today is?" David asked with a sly smile. Dana shook her head as she took a bite out of the sandwich. "A month ago today you went with me to the sandwich shop. This is our one month anniversary."David laughed. Dana let out a giggle as she swallowed. A small glob of mustard protruded onto her lip. David kissed her tenderly and made the little drop of mustard disappear into his own mouth. "So you got me the same sandwich I ordered." Dana laughed. David was always doing crazy things. Just last week he sent her a dozens of flowers and when she laughed about not having enough vases, he sent her a different vase for each set of flowers he sent. She liked David. She liked him a lot. They were getting serious fast-and she didn't mind. "You're weird." Dana laughed uncontrollably. "I know, that's what you dig about me." David smiled. He kissed her again this time pressing forward and pulling her into his arms. She felt his left hand rest on her tiny waist and then move upward underneath her sweater. He slowly traced the bottom of her bra and proceeded to get one finger under the elastic before Dana shoved him away. "David, please, not at school." Dana seriously stated and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "Dana, I'm sorry. I just cant control myself around you. Just being near you drives me wild." David whispered in her ear. His breath made her shiver. She looked at her mail which David had also brought to her. The first was a memo about guest lecturers who would be holding special lectures on December twentieth which was the last day before winter recess. Dana's eyes skimmed the memo until she saw a name that cut her breath short. She dropped the paper and almost hyperventilated. "Dana, what is it?" David asked worried. He picked up the paper and saw the name "Fox Mulder" listed as one of the guest speakers. He knew that Dana used to be partners with this Mulder character, but that was all. He didn't care if she had been anything more to him because she was his now and none if what happened before mattered now. Dana recovered and clasped David's hand in hers. "David, I have to tell you some things about Fo-Mulder in case we run into him." Dana began. David knew she was serious but he couldn't help to smile when she said "we" meaning him and her-as a team-together. Her twelve thirty class began to roll in. "Tonight, come to my apartment around seven." Dana whispered. David nodded and left professionally. Dana didn't know how she did it, but she pulled off her two classes like she hadn't heard the name Fox Mulder at all. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS,MD DEC 15, 7:00 PM David was right on time. Dana briskly walked to her door and opened it. David was worried about Dana ever since lunch. He passed her several times in the hall and each time she looked like she would burst into tears in any second. She still had that look on her beautiful face now. David took a seat on the couch and Dana sat on the couch also. She turned to face him and clasped one of his hands in hers. He rested his other hand on top of hers and stroked it fondly. "David, there are some things that I'm going to tell you tonight that you probably won't believe. But, they are true and you need to know." Dana began with a sigh. David stared at her with mysterious look in his eyes. "I have been abducted." Dana blurted. A smile formed on David's lips. "By who? Aliens?" David laughed. Dana flashed him an angered look and then softened when David withdrew his smile and stared down at the floor hating how insensitive he had just been. "David, this is serious, okay?" Dana replied to his outburst. David nodded. "I'm sorry" David apologized and kissed her hand. Dana collected her thoughts for a moment before continuing. "I don't know who is my abductor. It could be aliens or the government. I don't know. All I know is that twice now I've been taken for months at a time. And it's not just me. There are other people who have been taken. In fact there are a whole group of people in Allentown, Pennsylvania who claim to have seen me while they were abducted." Dana focused on her hand on his while she went on about how the abduction changed the way she looked at Mulder. And then she got to the Cape May fiasco and everything after that. Dana looked up into his eyes as a single tear slid down her cheek. "Dana, It's okay. You have me now. I won't hurt you." David swore and pulled her to him. Dana nestled her head on his shoulder and thanked god for letting her have someone like David. "Dana, all this serious talk has brought me way down. What do you say to watching some TV?" David asked. Dana nodded and handed him the control. They settled in watching all different comedies until they fell asleep in the early morning hours. F.B.1. ACADEMY FACULTY LOUNGE QUANTICO,VA DEC 20, 4:00 PM "So, the semester is officially over," sighed David. "Yup. Now for our much deserved month break." Dana replied. She swayed over to the coffee pot and filled her mug. David got up from his seat and stood in the doorway. Dana sipped her hot drink and watched him curiously. He motioned for her to come join her. Dana rested her mug on the counter and walked over to him. She peered down the hall and didn't see anything unusually. "What?" she asked with intrigue and stared up at him. He pointed up. Dana shifted her view to the frame of the doorway and saw mistletoe taped to it. Dana smiled and went in for the kill. David pulled her into her arms and tenderly kissed her several times before pulling away. "Dana, there isn't anyone here. Everyone has gone home." David breathed and began to kiss her again. Dana responded by hungrily searching for his lips. He backed her up into the frame of the door and pressed on. Dana didn't want David to stop and she made that clear by forcing her tongue into his mouth which he gladly accepted. F.B.I. ACADEMY LECTURE ROOM # 3 QUANTICO, VA DEC 20, 4 PM. Fox Mulder hastily shoved his notes into his briefcase. He couldn't wait to get away from here. Sarah was waiting for him at home and then they'd be flying to Massachusetts to spend Christmas with his mom. He tore out of the lecture room and headed out. He rounded the corner to see two academy students kissing wildly in the hall. The girl had the most beautiful red hair. The kind of red hair that Scully had. He noticed the mistletoe in the doorway and smiled to himself. This couple made it look like you made out under mistletoe instead of just kiss under it. The couple broke apart and he saw the red head's face. Mulder's face turned white and he stood in shock. That woman was Dana Katherine Scully and not an academy student. The guy wasn't an academy student either because he was carrying the attache case that all F.B.I. instructors receive. She had gone on with her life. Mulder so hoped she was sitting in her apartment in a fetal position begging for him to come back to her. He spun around and quickly looked for another exit. Mulder looked for an exit everywhere but couldn't find one. Images from the night in Cape May began to mix with visions of her kissing that guy. He couldn't stand it. That should have been him. Defeatedly, he trudged back to the hallway where he had seen Dana kissing the strange man. He walked down the hallway and pulled his collar up to hide his face. He passed the doorway where they had been standing when Dana collided into him full force knocking them both to the ground. "Sir, I am so sorry." Dana cried and then realized who the man was. She quickly scrambled to her feet and became nervous. David joined them out in the hallway. "Mu-Mulder. Hello." Dana breathed. Mulder muttered something that sounded like "hello Scully". "David, this is my ex-partner Fox Mulder. Mulder, this is my good friend, David Packard.; He teaches the other two sections of honors anatomy." Dana introduced. "Yeah, Scully, used to introduce me as her good friend too before she left me." Mulder snidely commented. "You mean when she left you and found someone better? Someone like me?" David snarled. Mulder glared and Dana prayed that they wouldn't start. A few other comments passed through the breeze and Dana pulled Mulder by his collar down the hall. "I know you hate me, but-" Dana began. "Scully, I don't hate you. I never hated you."Mulder cut in. "Oh really? You sure as hell acted like it the last time I saw you." Dana blew up. "Damn it, Dana. You made me so angry. You took my heart and ripped it to pieces. I trusted you and you betrayed me. You left and never contacted me."Mulder replied. All the emotion came back to him and Dana could see how much she had hurt him. "Mulder I tried to apologize. You didn't let me get a word in. You wouldn't let , me explain anything. Mulder I knew running was a mistake and I was planning on coming back sooner than I did."Dana explained calmly. "Then why didn't you?" Mulder asked and crossed his arms in front of him. "Because I was abducted again. I was taken for four months." Dana softly replied. Mulder turned away as Dana explained his worst fear had come true. "And Mulder, I remember what they did. Do you want to know what they do to us?" Dana asked almost furious. She felt all the emotion rage up in her as well. Mulder wouldn't look at her. Dana grabbed his arm forcefully and Mulder turned to look at her. "They raped me Mulder. They raped me." Dana said with a tight lip. Mulder softened. "Scully, I'm sorry." Mulder mumbled. He pulled her into her arms and held her while she cried softly. "And you weren't there for me. I had no one." she sobbed. Mulder's heart ached and he kissed the top of her head. "I'm sorry,Dana." Mulder whispered. David watched the scene from a distance and didn't like what was going on. He decided to intervene. "Um, Dana we should get going." David interjected. Dana, surprised to hear his voice, pulled herself from Mulder. David put his arm around Dana and began to lead her away. "Mulder, call me." she ordered before heading back into the faculty room with David. Mulder nodded and watched her fade from sight. For a moment, it felt like nothing had changed. God, did he still love her? Yes, she stirred up feelings in his soul that he thought were gone. This was so unfair to Sarah. He loved Sarah. Sarah made him happy, but Dana made him whole. He shoved those thoughts aside and went on his way home where Sarah would be waiting. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS,MD JUNE 24, 3:00 AM Scully turned over in her bed and picked up the phone receiver annoyed. "Hello?" she grunted. "Scully, it's me. Can I come over?" a man's voice asked. "Mulder, it's 3 am. Do you have to come over right now?" Dana asked whining. "I-I-I yes" Mulder finally answered. "Okay, I'll have a pot of coffee on." Dana sighed. She hung up the receiver. "Who was that?" the man besides her groaned as he stretched. "It was Mulder. Something's wrong and he's coming over."Dana explained to David. "Okay, I'm going back to sleep. I'm sure he'll be here when I wake up considering you have a month's worth of catching up to do."David mumbled and then rolled back over. David wasn't jealous of Mulder's renewed friendship with Dana. He wasn't a threat to their happiness. Dana kissed his shoulder and rolled out of bed and padded into the kitchen. David was right. They had a lot of catching up to do. Just as their friendship was returning to normal, Mulder had just disappeared. Just as she fixed the coffee maker, Mulder knocked on the door. Dana ushered him in. He was a mess. His hair was disheveled and he hadn't shaved in awhile. "My god, Mulder. Where have you been? Why didn't you contact me?" Dana asked. "Sarah threw me out. I haven't got anywhere to go." Mulder mumbled. Dana put a mug of fresh coffee in front of him. Dana just watched him. "I've been living several places. Most recently on the street." Mulder replied in chopped up sentences. He began to cough until he gagged. "Fox, why didn't you tell me? You are welcome to stay here." Dana replied. "I don't need your pity. I didn't want to bother you in your new life with Mr. Perfect. Pretty soon you'll be in a perfect little house with one of those white picket fences." Mulder muttered. "Mulder, it isn't that way and you know that. You're never a bother." Dana replied. At that moment David sleepily entered the living room. "I'm sorry guys could you please keep it down. I really need to get some sleep." David asked politely. "Sure, David, we'll move into the study." Dana replied. Mulder's heart sunk. Mulder followed Scully into what used to be her neighbor's apartment. Recently they got the okay to tear down the wall and convert it into more room for them. "David lives with you?" Mulder asked in disbelief. Dana nodded almost feeling embarrassed. God, what would Mulder think of her now. Perfect Catholic girl Dana Katherine Scully living with and obviously sleeping with a man before vows. Mulder couldn't believe it. Dana closed the folding door to the study. "I shouldn't have come here." Mulder sighed and turned to walk out. "Mulder-please stay. We have a fold out bed in the living room. You can stay as long as you like." Dana pleaded. Mulder started to object, but Dana insisted. She and Mulder exited the study quietly and opened up the bed for him. Soon after Mulder was asleep and Dana went back into her bedroom. She hoped David wouldn't mind Mulder staying there. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD JULY 21, 2:00 AM David didn't mind Mulder at all. Mulder was considerate and polite considering the circumstances. Dana entered the bedroom with a gleeful smile. "He's down and out for the count." Dana whispered excitedly. "Good." David smiled as Dana joined him on the bed. David took Dana into his arms and opened the robe that Dana was wearing. Instead of finding her in her usual nightshirt and boxers he found her wearing a black silk nightgown. "Dana...." he breathed feeling his pulse begin to rapid. Dana smiled bashfully. She and David hadn't made love since the second week of Mulder's surprise arrival. Dana decided tonight would be the night to extinguish David's sexual hunger for her, and vice versa. He pulled her underneath him and pulled and tugged at the nightgown for access to every single inch of flesh covering Dana's body. Her breasts were soft and he pommeled them watching her nipples become erect with the slightest touch. He placed one in his mouth and slid his other had down and caressed her mound, making her moan out in pure pleasure. He inserted a finger and she cried out. "Shhhh, Dana....remember Mulder..." David reminded her in between kisses. Dana nodded and bit down on her lip as he pushed in further and further. He pulled out his finger and Dana began to buck against him begging him softly to insert it again. David smiled and pulled her to a sitting position on the edge of the bed. He got down on his knees in front of her and spread her legs far apart and entered his tongue between her lips. He loved the taste of her. She was so sweet and pure. After he stopped stimulating her clit, he watched as her lips relaxed and she became wet. Never had it happened this fast. He was ready as well. He inserted himself in her and teased her with just his head and then slowly penetrated her deeper and deeper until he was fully inside. For someone as tiny as Dana, taking him all in seemed impossible, but with Dana anything was possible. She moaned and wrapped her legs around him and he pumped and slid inside her. Hearing her erotic little groans drove him wild. She began to buck and he felt her as she, spasmed and came and soon he followed. They collapsed lifelessly on the bed, and David withdrew. They both fell asleep soon after. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD JULY 21, 2:15 AM Mulder heard a voice and sat straight up. He heard Dana cry out something in the bedroom. Naturally he got up to investigate. He made his way to the bedroom door and opened it a crack to make sure she was okay. He peered into the dark room and found Scully sitting on the edge of the bed with David on his knees in front of her his head glued to her inner thighs. The moonlight reflected right on Dana's mound of shaved auburn hair. Mulder saw David's tongue slide in and out out her lips rapidly . Dana gasped several times and pulled David's head as close to her as possible so his tongue could penetrate her deeper. David stopped and grinned at her. Lust filled Dana's eyes and she invited him to mount her. That look.....Mulder remembered it well. David climbed on top of her and pumped in her. Mulder saw David's whole organ disappear and he realized Dana had taken him all in. He was amazed. They were laying sideways on the bed and Mulder could see every muscle tense in Scully's body as David almost pulled out and teased her with his head. Dana kissed his neck and David caressed her left breast. By this time Mulder felt his own organ pulsating. He was unaware that he had been stroking himself. He saw the look on Dana's face of utter pleasure and knew she was signaling that she was releasing. He saw them move together. David penetrating her so deep he lifted her off the bed and then slammed into her pressing further searching for her innermost spot of femininity. She began to spasm against him and he held her tight, letting her buck and ride him rapidly until her body became limp and his did too after his release seconds after hers. Mulder felt his own release trickle down his leg and saw his boxer shorts had soaked right through. He didn't care. He saw the content look on Dana's face and knew that he wanted her. Mulder sighed softly and crept back to his bed. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD JULY 21, 12:00 PM Mulder awoke to Dana softly humming in the kitchen. He sat up and turned to face her in the kitchen. She was squeezing fresh orange juice. "Good morning, sleepyhead." Dana laughed at Mulder. Mulder smiled half heartedly. "Where's David?" Mulder asked. "He went to the store to get some things before he leaves." Dana replied. "Leave? Where is he going?" Mulder asked "To California for a science convention. He'll be gone for eighteen days." Dana informed Mulder. "So long?" Mulder asked once he calculated that David would be back on the seventh of August. Conventions usually only lasted a few days. "Yeah, David is the head of the Science Department at the academy." Dana replied. Mulder couldn't believe his luck. Now was the time to strike. David came bustling through the door a few seconds later. "Hey," David called with a grin. He kissed Dana tenderly and proceeded to the bedroom. Mulder couldn't wait until David was gone. DANA SCULLY's APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD AUGUST 5, 9:00 PM Dana and Mulder were finishing up watching a movie. Mulder knew that tonight was going to be the night that he seduced her. "Scully, why don't we go out?" Mulder suggested. "Like where?" Dana asked intrigued. "I don't know... a bar?" Mulder quickly answered. Dana usually didn't go for that sort of thing, but tonight she relented and she and Mulder hit the town despite the threatening thunder showers. The first bar they entered seemed okay. It wasn't too loud and the people in it seemed okay. Mulder bought Scully a drink. And then he bought her another one. His tab began to grow, but he didn't care. "Come on Scully let's dance." Mulder insisted and pulled her out with him on the dance floor. "Mulder, I drank too much. Please, let's just go." Scully whined. "After we dance. I promise."Mulder smiled. Scully sighed and wrapped her arms around him for the slow number. Scully grew impatient after three dances and all the alcohol had by this point settled into her blood. She was slurring her words and Mulder practically carried her back to her car. The ride home seemed very long to Dana. "Mulder, where we are?" Dana asked mixed up. "Scully, the weather is really bad. We are going to a motel. We're almost there. Go back to sleep." Mulder replied with a smile. Soon after they pulled into a motel parking lot and Mudler went into the office to get a room. He came back seconds later with a room key. "Only one room?" Dana asked sleepily. "That's all they had left. Besides, we're not under Skinner's thumb anymore." Mulder laughed. Scully gave a half hearted smile and Mulder and he helped her out of the car. They ran to their room, but got soaked on the way. They bolted through the door and fell on the double bed together both gasping for air. "Mulder, we better get up or we'll be sleeping on a wet bed." Scully whispered still recovering from the run. "Yeah, we better get these wet clothes off too." Mulder suggested waiting for a raised eyebrow from Dana. But there wasn't one and Scully shed her jeans and her top leaving on only her underwear which was white and soaked through. Mulder stripped to his boxers and could feel his member pulsate as Dana's erect nipples showed through the cotton material. Mulder smiled and pulled her to him. "Mulder, what are you doing?" Scully asked confused. Her head was still swimming. Mulder thumbed the crotch of her underwear and pulled it to the side. He inserted one of his fingers in her small hole. "I saw David do this to you. You must like it." Mulder breathed. Dana arched her back. "Mulder, stop. This isn't right. I have David now." Dana tried to string her reasons together. Mulder pushed on then with two fingers and played with her clitoris. After seeing that her clitoris was well stimulated he started to relax her by flicking his tongue in and out of her. By this time he had removed her panties. Dana gasped at how much Mulder was pleasuring her. He stopped and Dana whined. "Still want me to stop?" Mulder wickedly asked. Dana begged him to continue. He massaged her mound with one hand and undid her bra with his other. He began to nibble on one of her erect nipples when a chill came over him. He couldn't do this to her. She wasn't thinking straight. She loved David. She would never trust him again. She would never let him into her life again. He abruptly stopped and sat up. "Mulder...." Dana whined. "Dana, I can't." Mulder sighed. Dana sat up next to him and stroked his member through his boxer shorts. "There is that better?" Dana purred. Mulder threw her arm away from him. He was big and erect ready to cum any second. He didn't want to do this to her. "Dana I can't." Mulder shook his head. Dana laid down on the bed with her back against the cool comforter. Mulder turned to look at her. "Mulder...." Dana purred and she spread her legs open for him and pulled her lips wide apart for him so he could see that she was wet and ready for him to mount her. Mulder licked his lips and saw Scully's body at her peak of sexual pleasure and threw all the reasons away. He mounted her in one swift move and there he was riding her as she came in him and he also came shortly after. Mulder felt awful for what he did. Scully had passed out and Mulder quickly dressed himself and her and he drove them back to her apartment despite the rain. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS,MD AUGUST 6, 1:00 AM Mulder hastily entered Dana's apartment and began to throw his belongings in a bag. "Mulder what are you doing?" Dana demanded. The alcohol had passed and other than a splitting headache she was fine. "I've got to get out of here." Mulder told her throwing a shirt into a duffel bag. "Why?" Dana asked. "Why?" Mulder mimicked her in disbelief. "Scully, I seduced you. I made you cheat on David. I was being selfish and in the end it's going to hurt you." Mulder replied. "Mulder, you didn't make me do anything I didn't want to do. I mean if I hadn't been intoxicated none of this would have happened, but I made you finish making love to me. I know you didn't want to. I remember you telling me that we had to stop. But, Mulder you had me so turned on I wanted you to finish. David's never given me that much pleasure." Dana admitted. "But Dana, it was wrong. You have to tell David." Mulder insisted zipping up his bag. Dana shook her head. "Dana, it's only fair! You have to tell him and I plan to be far away when you do." Mulder yelled at her. "I don't have to tell David anything because he's cheating on me!" Dana yelled back and began to sob uncontrollably. Mulder had never seen Dana this vulnerable.....this hurt....this scared. "What?" Mulder asked in a whisper. Dana nodded and tried to stop the tears, but they kept flowing. "How long have you known?" Mulder asked as they both eased into her bedroom. "For a couple days." Dana sighed. Before Mulder could ask how she found out, Dana began her story. "I was in the study and I saw some of David's papers lying around so I thought I'd straighten up a bit. Turns out those papers turned out to be receipts from several motels up in Vermont. I called the airline and found out that he bought a ticket for Vermont and he had a lady flying companion. I tracked them all the way down to their motel room and when I called a woman answered." Dana sobbed. Mulder pulled her against him and just held her and rocked her gently. "Every time I think about the last time David and I made love I think about the girl he's cheating on me with. I mean how do I know she doesn't have AIDS or some sexually transmitted disease?" Dana continued to sob. "Do you know how long he's been cheating on you?" Mulder asked softly. Scully shook her head against him. "The earliest date of a motel room was June twenty-fifth." Scully's muffled voice continued. Mulder shoved her away. Scully's tears had subsided and she stared at him blankly. "It is because of me!" Mulder exclaimed and held his head in his hands. "Mulder, I thought we finished this conversation." Scully softly replied. "No, Scully. I started living here on the twenty fourth. Don't you see? He started this because I was staying here." Mulder reasoned. "Mulder, I don't believe that for a minute. David's the kind of person who would sit around weeks trying to figure out this plan on when to see this girl." Dana replied trying to make Mulder stop blaming himself. When it comes to Scully's well being, when anything goes wrong, Mulder blames it on himself. Dana got the receipts from the study and showed him that at least two weeks separated the dates of the motel stays. "See, Mulder. David was probably planning this before you came." Dana reasoned. Mulder had to give her that one. "I dunno, Scully. I still feel like I'm responsible." Mulder shrugged. "Mulder, you always feel I'm your responsibility." Scully laughed. "Now what?" Mulder asked intrigued to what Scully's answer would be. "I don't know. I still care for him deeply. I wish he felt the same." Dana sighed. She felt the tears weld back in her eyes, but she fought them. She didn't want Mulder to see her lose control like that again. "I still feel horrible for the motel fiasco." Mulder sighed. "You should feel bad about your plan of getting me intoxicated just so you could have your way with me. But, don't feel bad about messing around because I wanted to make love to you just as much as you wanted to." Dana answered him. Dana began to reflect on the night's activities and a blush rose to her cheeks when she remembered something Mulder had said. "Mulder, were you serious when you said you saw David do those things to me?" Dana asked embarrassed. Mulder turned beet red. This was the first time Scully ever saw him embarrassed. "I heard you cry out in the bedroom. I went to investigate and...."Mulder trailed off. "What did you find out?" Dana asked teasingly. "That it really turns me on to see you orgasm." Mulder replied. Dana blushed and threw a pillow at him. They cuddled and talked all night long. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD AUGUST 6, 10:00 AM Mulder stretched out like a cat and rolled over to find that Dana wasn't there. Mulder sighed and rolled out of bed and stumbled out in the kitchen area. Dana was sitting at her kitchen table sipping coffee and staring off into nothingness. "Scully," Mulder made his presence known. Dana was startled and jumped a little. "Morning, Mulder." Dana replied. Mulder poured himself a cup of coffee and joined her at the table. "So, what have you decided to do about David?" Mulder asked trying to sound indifferent. He was dying to know. "I'm going to confront him and tell him to leave." Dana firmly said. Mulder was elated inside. This meant that Dana was his. "Now, Mulder....Fox I don't want you to get too excited." Dana softened and hugged him. Mulder was now confused. He began to worry about what she was going to say now that she called him by his first name. "Fox, I need to be alone for awhile. I'm not ready for a relationship right now. I do need you to be my friend and help me through all this. Then when I'm ready, maybe it will be the right time for us, but until then..." Dana trailed off. She saw the hurt in Mulder's eyes. "I never meant for any of this to happen, Fox. I'm sorry if I'm hurting you." Dana apologized. "I understand. The first thing I'm going to do is move out."Mulder offered. "That would be good. I really need to be alone." Dana nodded. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD AUGUST 6, 4:00PM Dana paced around her apartment. David would be home any minute. She had sent Mulder down to the lobby so he wouldn't be there when she confronted David. The lock jingled and Dana focused on the door. "Hello..." David called entering the apartment. Dana didn't respond and just stood before him. David just looked at his fuming girlfriend. "Dana?" David asked concerned. Dana felt tears spring to her eyes and turned so David couldn't see them. "How was your trip?" Dana asked sharply. "It was fine." David answered slowly. Dana was really freaking him out. He saw some receipts in her hand. No, she couldn't have found them. David hoped she hadn't found them. "You saw your little whore in Vermont." Dana screamed and whipped around to face him. The tears were streaming down her face and she held the receipts in her fist. David became silent. "When were you going to tell me David? When we were married? Better yet on our wedding day?" Dana asked still yelling. "Dana, I'm sorry. I was going to tell you. I swear." David answered finding his voice. Dana realized she still loved David and couldn't throw him out of her life. "You're lucky I'm giving you another chance." Dana calmed down but angrily shot him a glance. David muttered something. "What did you say?" Dana asked softly. David sighed loudly. "I said that I don't want another chance. Dana, I'm leaving you." David bluntly stated. Dana shut her eyes and clasped her hands over her ears. This wasn't happening to her. "Dana, I...I....fell out of love with you. I don't know how it happened. Just one morning I woke up and the sparks weren't there anymore." David explained. "Yet you continued to make love to me. You used me to satisfy your sex organ." Dana sobbed. David looked at her sheepishly. "Just get out. I want you out of here in two hours." Dana screamed through her tears. "Where am I supposed to go? I sold my apartment." David reminded her. "Why don't you go shack up with your little Vermont slut." Dana suggested. David was scared. He didn't have anywhere to go. "I'll sleep on the couch tonight. Mulder has to find somewhere else." David sighed. "Don't you get it? This is my apartment. I don't want you here. You aren't go to sleep anywhere in here." Dana yelled. She took his suitcases and threw them out into the hallway. David, defeated, began to clear out his belongings. Once he was finished and he had taken one last brief look around the apartment he paused in front of Dana. "Dana, I'm sorry this happened. I wish we were meant for each other. You are such a wonderful woman. Whoever you end up with is very lucky." David told her. "Get out." Dana growled and shoved him towards the door. Once he was out, Dana immediately dialed Mulder's cell phone. THE LOBBY OF DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT BUILDING ANNAPOLIS, MD AUGUST 6, 6:30 PM "Mulder" the voice answered. "It's over....he's gone.....I need...." Dana began and then broke out into sobs. "Dana, I'll be right up." Mulder answered and bolted up to Dana's apartment. DANA SCULLY'S APARTMENT ANNAPOLIS, MD AUGUST 6, 6:33 PM She met him at the door and collapsed in his arms and wailed. "Dana, shhhh. It's okay." Mulder rocked her and eased her onto the couch. "Fox...I...I.....it hurts" Dana sobbed. Mulder's heart ached. David must have said something harsh to have brought this on. "I know.....it will go away....I promise." Mulder told her and smiled down at her. Dana tried to smile through her tears but her mouth was tense and her lips could not break the permanent frown. "Fox, he didn't want me." Dana let him in on her conversation with David. She felt a little better and her sobs turned silent. "What are you talking about?" Mulder asked. "He left me. He told me he didn't love me anymore. I gave him a chance to come back and he said he didn't want me. Am I really that horrible?" Dana asked. "Of course not. Dana, you are the most beautiful...most perfect.....David's a fool." Mulder complimented. He hugged her and she nuzzled into his neck. "Maybe I don't need time alone after all." Dana sighed. "Dana, as much as I love hearing that, you know you need time. You're on the rebound." Mulder sighed. Dana began to sob. "What's wrong now?" Mulder asked. "Even you don't want me...." Dana cried. "That's not true. I just-" Mulder began. "I don't care. Mulder, you know I'm not on the rebound. You're just scared of commitment...Scared of commitment with me.....If it were Phoebe or Dr. Bambi, it would be different. You'd jump right into bed with them. But me- now that's a whole different story." Dana sobbed. "Dana, please...that's not it. Dana, do you really want me to stay?" Mulder asked. Dana nodded and kissed him. "I want to drown into your body" Mulder whispered to her. Dana nodded and got up of the couch. Mulder began to follow her. "No, you wait here." Dana smiled seductively. She disappeared into the bedroom. Mulder couldn't believe how turned on he got from one simple kiss. Dana emerged some minutes later wearing the silk red negligee that she had worn in Cape May. "Have mercy..." Mulder breathed and took in every inch of Dana's figure. Dana forcefully kissed him and begged him to take her into the bedroom. "No, this is a special night. I won't just jump right into bed." Mulder shook his head. Dana sighed impatiently. "What do you want to do?" Dana asked folding her arms in front of her chest with a frown. "I want to....dance" Mulder thoughtfully answered and turned on Dana's stereo. "Here?" Dana laughed. "Yes, I want to dance with you here...alone...." Mulder smiled and sauntered over to her. The start of a song flowed through the air. Mulder knew this song. It was the perfect song for them. Mulder pulled her close and they began to sway slowly to the music. "Well, here we are again I guess it must be fate We've tried it on our own But deep inside we know We've been back to set things straight I still remember when Your kiss was so brand new Every memory repeats Every step I take retreats Every journey always leads me back to you After all the stops and starts We keep coming back to these two hearts Two angels who've been rescued from the fog And after all that we've been through It all comes down to me and you I guess it's meant to be Forever you and me After all When love is truly around (This time it's truly right) It lives from year to year It changes as it grows On and on the way it goes But it never disappears After all the stops and starts We keep coming back to these two hearts Two angels who've been rescued from the fog And after all that we've been through It all comes down to me and you I guess it's meant to be Forever you and me After all Always just beyond my touch Although I needed you so much After all what else is living for Oh,oh, after all the stops and starts We keep coming back to these two hearts Two angels who've been rescued from the fog And after all that we've been through It all comes down to me and you I guess it's meant to be Forever you and me After all...." Dana stared up into Mulder's beautiful green eyes as the chorus repeated itself until the song lingered no more. Mulder broke from the dance and became very nervous. "Mul-Fox what is it?" Dana asked caressing his left cheek. "I, um, shit...." Fox muttered nervously trying to spit out whatever he was going to say. Dana looked at him curiously. She heard him mutter something about a backup plan and he inserted a cassette into Dana's stereo. Mulder motioned for her to come dance with him again. "Mulder....we just danced...." Scully sighed impatiently. She thought of all the neat toys that she had on her bureau for Mulder to use on her. "I know....Pretend we didn't" Mulder suggested. "But, Mulder that was the most perfect song for us." Dana replied and Fox hushed her. A faint piano melody floated into the room and Fox took her into his arms. He was shaking and his heart was rapidly beating. Dana wondered what was making him act this way. A male voice began to sing one of Dana's most favorite love songs. "You are so beautiful to me You are so beautiful to me Can't you see? You're everything I hoped for You're everything I need You are so beautiful to me You are so beautiful to me You are so beautiful to me Can't you see? You're everything I hoped for Everything I need You are so beautiful to me..." The voice dropped out and the piano melody softly faded soon after. The rest of the cassette was blank and the room became silent except for the slight hum of her stereo. "Fox? What was that all about?" Dana asked touched by the song. David got down on one knee. Dana covered her mouth knowing full well what this was about. "Dana, you are beautiful to me. In fact you are so beautiful that I can't comprehend why you would want to be with someone like me, but you picked me and now I would like to pick you as my wife. Dana Katherine Scully, will you marry me?" Fox nervously asked. He pulled out a small black velvet box and opened it. Inside was a brilliant sparkling diamond ring placed in a gorgeous white gold setting. "Fox...." Dana whispered. He pulled the ring from out of the box and handed it to her. "Read the inside..." Fox smiled. Dana held the ring up to her eye level and read the two word inscription. "My inspiration..." Dana read "What do I do that inspires you so much?" Dana asked softly as the tears of joy began to slowly fall down her face. "Dana you inspire me to get out of the bed in the morning. Once I was in this deep dark place....before I met you....when you disappeared......when you left.....but then when I saw you at the academy....I knew I still had feelings and I knew you still had some unresolved feelings as well.....I became alive again. The dark world disappeared and was replaced with love for you. Dana, you inspire me to breath and to keep going when times are the toughest. I love you so much......" Fox left off wondering if Dana knew just how much he loved her. "Dana, please marry me...." Fox asked again. "Fox...I....of course....yes...." Dana answered. She slipped the ring on her left ring finger and he grabbed her into a tight hug and swung her into the air. A giggle squeaked out of her as he did so. When he put her down she pulled him closer and closer to her bedroom door. "One minute..." Fox smiled. He fast forwarded the tape and switched it to the other side. He pushed play and turned the volume up. "What are you going to play now?" Dana asked. "Music to make love to...." Fox smiled and scooped her up in his arms and carried her off into the bedroom. Once in the bedroom Mulder adjusted his eyes to the soft glow of candles placed all around the room. Mulder gently placed Dana on the bed and climbed on top of her. He noticed all these sexual aids on her bureau. "Pick out what you want to use..." Dana smiled seductively. Fox went over to get a better look at his selection. he came back with handcuffs and a blindfold. "That's all?" Dana asked disappointed. "We have the rest of our lives to try out the other things you bought. But I'll be right back cause I want my own little toys." Mulder mischievously grinned and left the bedroom. Dana propped herself up on her elbows. What on earth was he getting? Fox came back and immediately blind folded Dana before she could see what he had. He then proceeded to handcuff her to the headboard. "No fair....you handcuffed me last time" Scully whined. She felt Mulder's tongue grace the top of her inner thighs. Mulder entered her with his tongue and Dana felt the best she's ever felt. He was so tentative and gentle. He knew what she liked. Not too much later he stopped and Dana became disappointed. "Mulder..." Dana breathed. She felt something cold slide down the front of her body and she knew her nipples were erect. Mulder's warm mouth covered her right nipple and she groaned in pleasure...the cold object slid past her stomach and down her side. Fox, feasting on Dana's nipple, forgot about the ice cube and it had created a wet spot where it melted on her sheets. "Mulder...this blindfold isn't working for me." Dana honestly stated. Mulder yanked it off with a grin. Dana arched back as Fox brought his hungry mouth to her left nipple where he contently nursed it for pleasure. The cheap handcuffs had loosened and Scully pulled her wrists out from them. She brought his head closer to her forcing more of her nipple into his mouth. Fox began to massage her mound. That's when it hit him. She was his. She relaxed a little and he slid his finger in, probing her. "Mulder...I want to pleasure you...." Dana whispered in ecstasy. "Just being here with you is enough." Mulder whispered back and pulled away from her nipple. He was stroking her clit now. "Fox, I'm serious" Dana smiled. Fox with drew his finger. "Come sit on the edge of the bed." Dana told him. He did as she told him. She sat on his lap facing him. She touched his chest hesitantly. She rubbed his nipples and sucked on his neck. Mulder began to grow a big erection. Scully saw this and smiled huge. She got up and stroked him steadily with her hand. She then licked his cock from the very tip to the base while she played with his sack with her hand. Fox tried to muffle a cry of pleasure but it escaped and Dana stood up satisfied. Dana stood before him her naked body surrounded by candle light. She looked like an angel. Dana performed for him what she knew he wanted to see. Dana had gone to the video store and saw the porn movies that Fox had rented and found most of them were about women masturbating. Dana was slightly embarrassed to do this in front of Fox, but she knew he'd like it. It's not like she hadn't done it before. All those lonely years before Gary, Mulder, David.....It was just weird doing it in front of someone. She rubbed her nipples which had lost their erectness a few seconds ago. "Dana..." Mulder breathed. She moved closer to him and he tried to reach out and touch her but she pulled away. His erection was building. Dana was masturbating for him. It was the biggest turn on for him. She inserted a finger inside herself and she watched as Fox stroked himself. Dana became more aroused watching Fox stroke himself. She began to feel self conscious. Fox's eyes were burning on her and she couldn't do it anymore. She was too embarrassed. She quickly removed her finger and put her head in her hands mortified. "Dana, it's okay if you don't want to..." Fox whispered to her. "I just.....not in front of anyone..." Dana's muffled voice spoke. "You'll never have to do it again cause now you have me." Fox wrapped his arms around her. Fox gently removed her hands from her face. He kissed her gently on the lips. Dana held him forcefully and continued to kiss him their tongues gliding into each other's mouths. Fox backed her into the bed and she fell onto it with him on top of her. He inserted his finger and Dana immediately became wet. "Dana.....my sweet Dana...." Fox called over and over. He plowed into her and pushed harder and harder until Dana screamed out with pleasure. "Did I hurt you?" Fox asked concerned. Dana shook her head and sat up facing him pushing him deeper inside her. Mulder felt her walls clamp around his rod and massage it. He pumped profusely, his balls teasing her lips each time they gently brushed against one another. Dana kissed Fox's shoulder and whispered, "I'm sorry for everything" Her climax came and she writhed against him her walls milking Mulder's rod for his juices as hers flowed freely. Mulder matched her rhythm to give her the pleasure she deserved. "Fox!"Dana screamed as he rapidly slid his cock in and out of her body. She had her orgasm and gasped for air. She arched her back as Fox took her nipple back into his mouth. Once Dana was finished Mulder was bucking signaling it was time for his release. He continued to suck as she moved up and down. Fox watched as his cock disappeared and reappeared with Dana's movement. She felt so good on him. Her nipple was hard and it felt so good in his mouth. He felt his juice rise to the tip of his cock to let Dana know it was time. He pounded into her causing her to moan with pure pleasure. Once he released she had her orgasm a second time excited by Fox as he plummeted further and further into her. "Dana, there's nothing to be sorry about. What counts is what happens from this day forward. " Mulder panted. He withdrew from her, but stayed in her arms. "Fox, I love you." Dana answered and drifted off to sleep. Fox yawned kissed her and also nodded off feeling the best he has ever felt. SAINTS PETER AND PAUL CHURCH ANNAPOLIS, MD DEC 25, 1:00 PM 11/2 YEARS LATER Dana smoothened out her gorgeous white gown before beginning her journey down the long red carpeted aisle. Her brother Bill took her arm. "Ready?" he asked with a smile. Dana nodded and the doors opened. Pachelbel Cannon softly played as she walked to the front of the church. Today was her day-her wedding. She was marring Fox, her love...her destiny. As she grew closer and closer to the alter, Fox became a clear vision. He looked so handsome in a tuxedo. The altar was beautiful with what looked like a hundred poinsettias all around it. It was all beautiful just like she had dreamed when she was a little girl. Bill dropped his arm and Fox took it as the priest stood before them. Mulder couldn't believe how heavenly Dana looked. He never imagined that this day would come. For once, he knew God loved him and was smiling down on him. He knew God loved him because the woman he loved was standing beside him ready to pledge her love and life to him. He also felt other presences and concluded that Dana's sister Melissa, her father, and several of Fox's own deceased relatives were there watching. The mass seemed to drag on before Fox put the wedding band on her finger and recited his vows. Dana was shaking as she did the same to Fox. After the rings were exchanged Fox soothed her by stroking her hand. It came time for the "I do's". First came Fox who smiled warmly as he said those two words that filled Dana's heart with joy. Dana softly spoke the two words and then looked up into Fox's eyes as the priest pronounced them husband and wife. Fox lifted her veil and he saw the most beautiful woman in the world ready to kiss him. He swooped down on her and their kiss lingered a few moments longer than it should have, but no one in the congregation cared. Fox took Dana's hand and smiled widely at her. He practically yanked her down the aisle as they fled out of the church ready for their new life as Mr. and Mrs. Fox Mulder.
