His perfect health hadn't change his sleeping patterns, which meant he was still insomniac. He waited for a second ring before he picked it up. And, he turned his television off. "Scully?!" he answered, worrying something could be wrong with her pregnancy. "If only..." the voice on the other end replied. "Will I do for the moment?" "Yeah! I'm sorry, Frohike! I'm just a tad nervous these days. What's up?" Mulder calmed down rapidly. "Something big..." Frohike responded. "Don't tell me you've been trying the blue pill..." Mulder joked. "If only..." Frohike reacted. "Actually, I don't think we can talk about this over an unsecure line." he added quickly to stop Mulder from starting his interrogation. "I'm coming over." Mulder reassured him. "Should I bring Scully?" he wondered. "No! We prefer to break the news to you first." Frohike firmly pointed out. "Then, you'll decide how she'll learn about this discovery." "I'll be there in ten." Mulder hung up the phone and was on his way over there. The ride in his car to the Lone Gunmen's was shorter than planned. But, while driving, Mulder had enough time to recall his short talk with Frohike. And, he wondered why his friends didn't want Scully to know what they would tell him first. "Agent Mulder?!" Jimmy smiled as he let Mulder in. "My name is Jimmy, Jimmy Bond. I'm so pleased to meet you. The boys told me all about you." he shook his hand. "Nice to meet you too, Jimmy. Unfortunately, the Three Stooges didn't mention you at all, though I did read your articles in their publications." Mulder admitted as he glanced at the Gunmen. "Interesting!" he grinned. "Sorry, Mulder!" Langly shouted form the back of the room. "Because of how things've been, we didn't consider this to be of very much importance..." he said. "...to you." he corrected himself when he saw the deception in Jimmy's eyes. "S'alright!" Mulder replied, patting Jimmy's shoulder to recomfort him. "Though a bit clumsy at times, Jimmy has been a great help to us these past few weeks." Byers felt the need to specify his engagement in the group. "But, let's get down to business..." Frohike sat down beside Mulder in front of his computer. "Hey, Frohike!" Mulder interrupted him. "Have you ever been to Viagra Falls?" he kid him again, faking a lisp problem. "Very funny, Spooky!" Frohike faked a smile. "What's that about?" Langly asked Mulder. "We'll get to that later..." Byers changed the subject back to why Mulder had been called down here. "Last year, while you were hospitalized for abnormal brain activity, Scully went to Africa..." he paused and let Langly continue. "She stumbled upon something that seemed to be an alien craft that was buried in the beach's sand. She had a team take pictures of it from every angle and she e-mailed us the digital scans." he passed the torch on to Frohike. "When she came back, she brought a little note book that she used to decode the text engraved in the ship's exterior. We built a computer program to analyze it all and, tonight, it finally got done decoding the entire thing." Frohike went on. "Instead of reading it all, we tried to match up the text in every database we could put our hands on." Jimmy gladly added. "A good portion of it was from religious writings, like the Bible and the Torah..." he stopped to remember the other names. "Anyway..." Frohike cut him short to get to the point. "There was a portion that wasn't recognized as anything already written." "What do you mean?" Mulder questionned the boys. "There was a portion of that text that hasn't appeared anywhere else before, so we proceeded in reading the text..." Byers answered. "And, that portion was a bit revealing..." Langly paused. "It concerned you and Scully!" he finally confessed. "What?" Mulder reacted bluntly as he stood up and stepped back. "We agree that it's early to let you in on this secret." the Gunmen said at the same time. "But, it's quite amazing..." Jimmy grinned like an idiot, being an idiot himself. "Guys!?" Mulder shouted as a plead to tell him the truth already. "It basically says that a short red haired woman would come in contact with this extra-terrestrial object and that it would heal her, literaly." Langly began. "What do you mean by "heal her"?" Mulder mumbled nervously. "Whatever was wrong with her when she came in contact with it, it was righted." Langly affirmed. "Then, the story says she would get impregnanted by the tall brown man who's trying to save the universe on his own... the old fashionned way." Frohike went on. "And, that this man would disappear, only to come back dead and be revived later on. That man would resurrect back to life, also healed from his illnesses." Byers confessed with trouble accepting the facts. "Agent Mulder..." Jimmy paused. "Agent Scully is pregnant with your child." he added clumsily. "And, the text says that your child will save us all from the end of the world." "This is incredible!" Mulder walked from one end of the room to another, grabbing his head in his hands and trying to make sense of it all. "We know!" the guys once again chanted together. "No!" Mulder moaned. "This can't be true!" "But, it is!" Jimmy replied. "I know it is... It doesn't take much to make me believe in something, Jimmy!" Mulder tried to smile at him. "What I'm saying is that this puts too much pressure on Scully and I..." he finally sat down. "No wonder why everyone wants us dead." "What are you going to tell Scully?" Frohike demanded him. "Nothing..." Mulder answered. "...nothing for the moment. This would be much more harder on her than on me. And, she probably wouldn't believe it anyway." "Do you want us to tell Skinner?" Langly asked. "No!" Mulder firmly responded. "Certainly not to him, considering he's been Scully's best friend since I was abducted." "What do you want us to do about this?" Byers interrogated him anew. "I don't know..." Mulder felt the pressure build up in his heart and soul before he finally bursted into tears. "I think I need to rethink about all this and make a more relaxed decision." he said as he dried up his tears and left the Gunmen's den. "Is he alright?" Jimmy worried about his new connaissance. "He will be!" Langly told him as he went back to bed. "We have to give it time to sink in." Byers added, going back to bed in his turn. "Mulder is like that!" Frohike tried to comfort Jimmy. "He'll go on living."
