Summary: An egg hunt, a conversation, church and a movie.
Author's notes: This is my 3rd story. The first one not based on a
song. I wanted to write something related to Easter, but I think I got
just a little carried away here. Oh well, let me know what you think.

It all started yesterday afternoon when I was driving Scully home after
we finished our investigation. It must have been the new spring weather
because she wanted to stop and have lunch in the park. Of course, I
agreed to. I would do just about anything she asked me to. What I
forgot about was that it was the day before easter. So we picked up a
couple of subs and went to the park only to discover that there was an
easter egg hunt going on. Scully of course wanted to stay and watch so
we did. While she was watching, I couldn't help but remember when
Samantha and I used to go to egg hunts. That was a long time ago. I
remember that Easter used to be my favorite holiday, right after
Christmas and right before Halloween. Sam and I used to dye eggs the
Satuday before Easter right before we went to the egg hunt. Then we
have eggs in our lunch every day for the next two weeks. But it was
worth it. Then on Sunday mornings, we would wake up early just like
Christmas and there would be easter baskets full of candy for us. Mom
would feed us breakfast and let us eat a piece before sending us off to
get ready for church. Easter Sunday was one of the few times during the
year that we all went to church. I had forgotten about that. I
remember getting all dressed up and riding to church and then being sent
to the children's class. I always wanted to go with the adults, but I
never got the chance. After Sam was gone, we never went back.

**************************************
I wonder what Mulder is thinking about. He hasnt' said a word in almost
10 minutes. That has got to be a new record for him. Usually he's off
and running on any subject he can think of. Oh well, it's kinda fun to
sit here and watch the children. I remember egg hunting as a child. It
was always fun. I wonder if Mulder ever went.
"Hey Mulder" I say
"Hm Scully"
"When you were little, did you go egg hunting?"I say
"Uh yeah, til I was 12." Mulder replied
"Did you like it?"
"Yeah, it was great, but I liked Sunday mornings the best."
"Why?" I ask.
"Well, it was fun getting up to an Easter basket and then going to
church." says Mulder
"You liked church?" I ask a little surprised.
"Well yeah on Easter, I always kind of enjoyed the stories."
"The stories?" I say
"Yeah, where else could you here stories about a virgin birth or people
raising from the dead. There were very interesting. Kind of like the
X-Files"
"Of course, I should have known that you would think those stories were
cool." says Scully.
"What didn't you like the stories? If you don't even believe what your
church tells you, no wonder you don't believe any of our x-files."
"Of course I believed them. I'm just surprised you know them Let alone
think they could possibly be true. Then again, I bet you have theries
on how all these things happened."
"Well yes I do, would you like to hear them? "
" No not really but I'll make a deal with you, you come to church with
mom and me tomorrow and then you can take me out to dinner and tell me
all your theries for one meal okay?" says Scully.
"Okay."I reply, thinking I always wanted to go to the adult service and
who am I to turn down a meal from my partner. It's not like I have
anything better to do. I was planning on dropping by her apartment
tomorrow anyway. I forgot that she wouldn't be there.
"Okay, pick you up at 8 in the morning then. Come on let's go."
So I took my partner home and this morning we went to church. I have to
admit it's a huge difference from when I was a kid but still, I enjoyed
it. I just didn't tell Scully so. Then I took Scully out to a nice
lunch since we were already dressed up and I've never had the
oppurtunity to before. I even managed not to talk about my theries for
the entire meal. In fact, I convinced her to have take out and a movie
with me earlier tonight. Of course, I had to let her pick out the
movie. No alien autopsy though that may have been a better choice.
Instead, we watched My Best Friend's Wedding which neither of us had
seen. I had the strangest feeling all through that movie and Scully kept
looking at me rather oddly. In fact, I even caught her crying. I
couldn't help but thinking it was a little like us. The movie must have
gone to my head because when I was leaving. I went to hug her good night
and actually kissed her instead. I don't know what I was thinking and
instead of stopping it immediatly, I let it go on. She even kissed me
back. When I stopped, she looked at me a little dazed and I left
because I didn't know what to say. I wonder what we are going to do. I
love Scully have for a long time, but I don't want to hurt her and
that's what would end up happening I'm sure. Oh well, maybe we can just
pretend it never happened.

Well, that's all she wrote for now.
