SUMMARY: Eight seconds on a couch in the wintertime.
AUTHOR'S NOTES: Had to take a break from the angsty
stuff and write some fluff. this took me eight
seconds to conceive and is inspired by a RL eight
seconds. PURE FLUFF AHEAD!

To Susan F., for her graceful
MS vignettes that define this genre.

And to my muse, who will know why when he reads
this. Thank you.

Curled up on the couch.

He sat on one end, sipping from a glass, and she
on the other, intent on watching whatever it was
on the television screen. She wasn't really paying
attention and she knew he wasn't either.

The room was freezing and she was tempted to get up
and put on another shirt. But she didn't want to
move because she had finally created a warm spot.

She shivered and shook violently for a split second.
She dug herself further into the couch, pulled her
feet up and wrapped her arms around herself.

He looked over at her.

She saw him out of the corner of her eye.

"Cold in here," she said, teeth chattering.

He moved closer to her, and put his arms
around her.

"Wow, you really *are* cold." He pulled her
down and she buried herself in the embrace.
He felt so good, this felt *so* good.

As they lay there, she drifted off to sleep.

And he held her.
