Comments: Do not ask me where this came from, for I do not know. Here it is, anyway. I've seen some stories using the imagery of the elements, but I'm not trying to plagiarize; this is my own interpretation. This is a bit of a departure for me, so I'd like feedback, even if you hate it or are totally confused by it. ========== Elements by shannono He is fire, and I am ice. He burns from within, trusting me to cool his fervor with reason. Yet he melts me with a look, cracking my hardened shell, letting me slide over and around and through him. He is air, and I am earth. He soars above, rising to the skies, trusting me to ground him, to keep him from sailing too high. Yet he scatters me with a touch, sends me flying to surround him, cocooning him. He is clay, and I am heat. He is soft, malleable, trusting me to mold him with the brightness of clarity. Yet he cools me with a sigh, absorbs my warmth, gives me balance and symmetry. He is water, and I am rock. He rushes headlong, flowing ever onward, trusting me to guide his wanderings. Yet he dissolves me with a word, grinds me to dust, carries me along beside and within him. He is sand, and I am wind. He is ever shifting, changing, moving, trusting me to direct his paths. Yet he fills me with a move, spins inside and around me, until I am overflowing with him. He is fire. I am ice.
