Summary: Dana admiring Fox at night (yeah, I know that sounds weird but that's basically the myth of Endymion and Selene) Endymion by KassandraXF (KassandraXF@hotmail.com) She watched him stir in his sleep, his handsome face, not perfect as individual characteristics, but rather in it's entirety. His hair ruffled and a lock of hair was hanging down the middle of the forehead. Smiling, she gently brushed the stubborn lock back remembering the first time she had worked with him. Such a lock at dropped in the middle of his forehead. He stirred again, this time draping his arm around her bare waist, pulling her close. It took her a moment for her to settle in more closely to him, stroking tenderly and lightly his cheek as to not wake him up in doing so. His eyelashes, long and dark, made a slight shadow on his cheek since the full moon's light was shining through the bedroom window. The moonlight also shined onto his hair, reflecting on it as an almost blond-red color. She moved her hand carefully, and delicately on his soft brown hair. Running her fingers through the strands, her eyes fell on his lips. Casually parted, his lips, soft and smooth looked so inviting. Giving in to the temptation she kissed him softly on the lips, noting the nearly imperceptible smile that appeared on his lips in his slumber. Sighing, she laid back onto her pillow, for she was half balancing on her elbow and just gazed at him. The moon shone upon him, on both of them. The soft beams of light streamed into the entire room through the blinds, flooding it. Queer, silent night. Usually there were loud, raucous cries of ambulances and police cars, and the constant screeching of cars. But not this night. It was quiet, calm, peaceful. The only feeling that she could feel, lying in the arms of the one she loved the most with everything so tranquil, was serenity. The most relaxing, the most resting, the most lovely feeling of serenity. Nothing could disturb her and destroy her placidity, nor seem to wake him from his sleep. She smiled drowsily at him, running her fingers carefully over his face, over his features with love. Her elegant, creamy white fingers dancing over his cheek, making graceful shadows on him. So soft was his skin, so fine was his face, so well-built his body, and so beautiful, kind, gentle, and loving, his soul. Slowly, replaying every detail in her mind, she reviewed the happenings of the day. Thinking of the day in whole brought her into a melodious, half-delirious, sedated state of euphoria. Dana Scully loved Fox Mulder will all her soul, and both of them knew it. The two, for the entire day, while the garish light of the sun glared and died, were in a sort of daze, knowing so well of each other's love that it blinded them, bewildered them, stunned them. But as twilight came, night fell, and the moon rose, everything became as clear as the purest crystal. Everything was unclouded and no longer confusing. There was nothing to hide and everything to admit. That night, all the truth, and all the love that anybody or anything could ever hold was unleashed. It was filled with passion and loving until both were exhausted and finally dropped off into a blissful sleep. But she had awakened when the moon was still bright and beheld him, in slumber. Complete and utter blissfulness, absolute rapture, total contentment, and an overwhelming happiness. There were no words that could really describe what she felt on this day. It was too beautiful for words, too fine to be restrained by worldly expression. It was the Truth intertwined with Beauty. Love interwoven into the Soul. Not half a day prior, was her wedding. Evermore he slumbers Tossing not nor turning Endymion the shepherd." -----Some Greek poet, I've forgotten his name!
