"What do we do now?" Scully wondered outloud. "For starters, we put William to sleep. And, then, we talk." Mulder replied. When William was sound asleep, Mulder and Scully sat down on her couch. "I know I told you that I didn't want our baby to come between us." Mulder said. "I guess you changed your mind since then." Scully smiled. "I can't hide from you that I love you." Mulder paused. "I love you more than words can say. I think I was just afraid..." he stopped. "Mulder?" Scully searched his stare. "Afraid of what?" she added. "Afraid that you wouldn't love me back." he confessed. "It was stupid of me to insist so much on the fact that you were my best friend and the only man I trusted, huh?" she grinned to hide her tears. "I always felt that you had a thing for me, but I had to know for sure." he admitted. "I do love you, Mulder. But, I can't understand why it took you eight years to kiss me." she finally let a tear roll down her cheek. "Five." he interrupted her as he dried her tear with his thumb. "Five?" she repeated innocently. "Yeah! I tried to kiss you before that bee stung you..." he giggled. "And, you did tell me you loved me when we brought you back from the Bermuda Triangle." she added. "Now that I'm not and FBI agent anymore, we can bring our relationship to a new level." he specified clearly. "Oh! You think you're really out of work, don't you?" she slapped hiim gently on his upper arm. "Though I do have enough money to support the both of us for a long while, I am unemployed at this moment in time." Mulder mumbled. "You don't consider fatherhood a full time job?" Scully demanded him seriously. "I do... And, I do think it is my duty to take care of you too." he answered. "Good!" she reacted. "Because I do think I'm due for another kiss now..."
