was less than perfect. 
Fumbling, stumbling
and ever so slightly
quick.

The second night
I got her drunk
to cover my embarrassment
and ever so slightly
took advantage.

The third night
she got the giggles
at a rather crucial moment,
ever so slightly
spoiling the mood

The fourth night
I made an effort
roses and champagne,
ever so slightly
romantic.

The fifth night
she stayed till morning
waking in my arms,
ever so very
perfect.
