Summary of FOR BETTER OR WORSE IV: Mulder finds out that the baby that Scully's
going to have isn't his but Krycek's. He breaks the marriage with her and says
to leave him alone. Scully is inconsolable and because of that holds Krycek at
gunpoint while he tells her the whole truth that he raped her and was sent by
the Cigarette-Smoking Man. At that, Scully goes to Mulder's house to try to
tell him the truth. He doesn't believe her and insults her. She storms out of
the apartment and falls on her knees to cry. Time goes by and at an ultrasound
analysis, Scully get some tests done that prove that she was raped. When she
takes the results to Mulder, he believes her then. They spent the night
together^

Margaret Scully's House, 3 weeks later, 2:14 p.m.:

"Mom, have you seen my shoes?" screamed Dana Scully as she walked hesitantly
from room to room. As she ran around the house, she held the expanded pieces of
white satin that composed her wedding dress. Today was the day she was to join
the man of her dreams in holy matrimony, Fox Mulder. She had her hair, the
veil, and the groom. All she needed was her shoes. "Here they are, Dana. I told
you not to run around the house with the dress on. You're going to wrinkle it!"
complained Margaret Scully. "I know but if I don't hurry I'm going to be late!"
she replied. All that ran through her mind was this moment and what had
impeaded it from happening before. The trip to Alaska, where Krycek had to
rescue them; When that fugitive shot Mulder; His one month coma; When Krycek
raped her; her suffering when Mulder left her; and all the other things that
had come between them. Today was the day where they would unite and nothing
would ever come between them again. She took one last look in the mirror. "Mom,
how do I look?" questioned Scully flattening the satin from her hips downward.
Margaret could not hold back the tears in her eyes from just looking at the
happiness in her daughter's eyes. "You look beautiful, honey." She turned Dana
towards her and looked up at her. "Dana, I want you to know that ever since
your father died, I've^I've thought about how much I loved him, and^.My
point is Dana that no matter what happens, love Fox with all your heart. I know
that he loves you and he always will. Both of you were destined to be together
for the rest of your lives." Scully looked at her mother as the tears cornered
up in her eyes. "That's the way it was meant to be, that's the way God wanted
it to be. Starting today, live your life to the fullest with Fox. By personal
experience, I'm telling you, live with him and love him and let him love you
because, when one of you is gone, there's no turning back. From there on, you
can't regret anything. Love him Dana." Margaret's words had such significance,
Dana's eyes watered. "I promise I will Mom. I do love him very much and I will
try to be the best for him." "That's my girl. I'm so proud of you^look at
you. The other day I was just carrying you in my arms, and now you're about to
get married." Said Margaret as she stood back away form her daughter to admire
her. "Time flies so fast." She said placing her hands in each other. "Yes, Mom,
and that's why if I don't hurry up, Mulder's going to think I stood him up."
With that they heard the honk of the 50's wedding car parked outside. With that
they exited the house.

Church of St. Patrick, Annapolis, Maryland, 2:56 p.m.:

Dana stepped out of the white car to find a bright day and a church filled with
white roses, here favorite flowers, all over the outside and inside. The music
started playing as she proceeded closer to the entrance of the church.
Undoubtedly, this was the happiest day of her life. She walked into the dim
light to find rows and rows filled with guests, and a proud groom at the end of
the red carpet. She walked with a bright smile on her face downward toward the
altar. She reached the end and Fox lifted the veil from her face and kissed the
tip of her nose. He embraced her arm in arm and they proceeded to walk towards
the altar. The ceremony went on until the time came for them to speak. "Do you,
Fox Mulder, take Dana Scully to be your lawful wedded wife To cherish and care
for, in sickness and health, until God do you part?" questioned the priest.
Mulder looked at Scully with an unwipeable smile on his face. "I do." He
responded. "Very well. Do you, Dana Scully, take Fox Mulder to be your lawful
wedded husband, to cherish and care for, in sickness and health, until God do
you part?" the priest asked. Dana took one last breath and replied, "I do."
"Very well. By the power instated to me by the Christian church and the state
of Maryland, I now pronounce you husband and wife." He ended. "You may kiss the
bride." Fox did as he was told and kissed the bride. One of the deepest he ever
gave her. They separated and started down the isle. When they reached the
entrance, they kissed once again as the joyful guests threw rice at them in
happiness. Fox took Dana in his arms and vowed: "Your mine now and I swear by
my life that I will love you forever and be with you for better or worse."
