Disclaimers: Mulder, Scully, and Pendrell belong to Chris Carter and 1013 productions. Agent Angel belongs to me, the big guy belongs to himself (God), and Cloud 9 Apartments is just a place. Logan Fox is my crush. I will accept feedback, but no flames. On with the show! Pendrell rubbed his eyes. The head angel was leading Angel and Pendrell to some place. "Come on, tell us where we're going." whined Angel. They stopped in front of a building. "We're here." chirped the head angel. Angel looked up. There was a fairly blending light blue building with light pink highlights, very much like an apartment building. There was a neon/faded/old-looking sign hanging over the front door. Pendrell thought. The neon part of the sign was a white cloud with pink lining. The rest of the sign read in dark blue print: Cloud 9 Apartments. The head angel opened the door and shoved Angel and Pendrell in. thought Angel. "What is this?" asked Angel and Pendrell at the same time. "It's an apartment building, duh. The big guy told me to show you your apartments. You deserve this kind of thing already." the head angel said while tapping on his clipboard. "Sure, fine, whatever. Show us our apartments." said Angel. Tiredness swept over her. It didn't make any sense. She was tired for the past week, Pendrell was starting to worry about her. The last time she felt this way was the week there was a big experiment at the CDC before she died. She rubbed her forehead as she stepped into the elevator. Was it some kind of test? Am I gonna die again? So confusing, this thing. The elevator pinged and the doors opened on the 9th floor. The carpet was a plush light purple. Ew, purple. "You don't like purple?" said the head angel. Angel shook her head. She stared at the carpet and watched it change to a dark blue. Better. Angel and Pendrell followed the head angel down the hall. White walls with pictures of clouds and the famous angels in heaven over the years passed by in a blur to Angel. Then the head angel stopped and Angel whacked right into him, knocking herself to the floor. Pendrell grabbed her hand and pulled her back up. She looked at the apartment door in front of her, it looked familiar. Where have I seen this door before? The head angel pushed opened the door and suddenly Angel remembered. It was her apartment, untouched since her last morning there. She turned around to look at the head angel. "This is my apartment?" she asked. "Yeah. Just like it was on the morning of your death." answered the head angel. Pendrell stuck his head in the apartment. "This is her apartment?" Pendrell asked. "Yeah it is Pendy." said Angel with a grin. "Nice apartment. You're still that girl I knew who always cleaned up her room when ever it needs to be cleaned." Angel punched Pendrell's arm playfully. "Let's see Pendrell's!" she squealed. The head angel pointed to the door next to Angel's apartment. Pendrell ran to it and opened the door, ahh home. Angel pushed him aside and looked in. "Your apartment looks like a lab!" laughed Angel. "Yeah, sort of." Pendrell said. The head angel held out two sets of keys. One set had an A keychain on it, the other had a P one. Angel grabbed hers, the A one, and Pendrell grabbed his. The two stared to head off into their apartments, but the head angel stopped them. "Hang on, I'm not done yet." said the head angel. They walked back and stood in front of him. "What else?" asked Angel. "Ok the big guy said to me to tell you a few things." "Tell us, we're all ears." "You got your apartments back because you became a higher class angels. They have all stayed here. For all your good worked you've been doing for the past 3, 4 years, these apartments are yours." Angel was not so sure. "Is there some kind of glitch?" "No. Well, maybe. You're suspended for two weeks." Angel gasped. "Why?" "So you can get used to the mortal feelings again, You will be returned to almost human. You'll still be an angel. You will come back to work after the two weeks after you've adapted and got used to being back to almost normal. See you then." At that, the head angel spun on his heels and left. Angel stomped. "This might be good for us, think about it." suggested Pendrell. Angel thought for a moment. "I'll get back to you at 10 ok? I need to sleep." said Angel as she headed into her apartment and shut the door. Pendrell headed into his too. Angel woke up from the knock on her door. She fell asleep on the couch. When was the last time I slept? Long ago, ha. She got up and answered to door. It was Pendrell. "I found out the good things from this." Pendrell said as he stepped in the apartment. Angel rubbed her eyes. That tired feeling was gone. Pendrell's skin seemed to have a healthier glow. She looked at her arm, her skin looked healthier too. "What is it?" she asked. "We can finally sleep." "Yeah. I'm not that tired anymore." "We can finally get out of our death clothes that we have been in since we died." "Really? Then I'm gonna go change!" Angel ran off to her room. Pendrell followed her and stood outside the door. "We at least can feel alive again, but that thought we know in the back of our heads that we're still dead. We can't be brought back to life again, and this is as good as it gets." "Hear, hear. Also take a look at your skin and mine. It's healthier. Like as if we're alive. Not that almost dull color." Pendrell looked at his hand. "You're exactly right. This is great." Angel came out of her bedroom in jeans and a tight white tank top. Pendrell's eyes widened and quickly looked away. "Yeah. What you're scared to look at my bon bons?" Pendrell scratched his arm nervously. "I haven't seen you like this since college." "Yeah, I know. It feels good to get out of that annoying skirt suit. Go change, Pendrell. Watch some TV or something. Don't go psycho on me ok? You need to rest." Angel put her hand on Pendrell's back and rubbed his shoulder blade. He fidgeted with his fingers before replying. "Ok." He left Angel's apartment. Angel headed to the kitchen to grab a Coke. Poor Pendrell, darling little guy, but gets nervous too much. Angel sighed and sipped her Coke. She headed into the living room, switched on the TV and plopped into her big chair. A message flashed across the screen. It was from the head angel. It read: I forgot to tell you, your TV has 200 channels, you can delete the ones you don't watch. You can watch down on selected people of your choice. After the message, Angel grinned. She picked up the remote and started to channel surf. Pendrell paced around the living room. He had changed into his boxers. Nothing is more comfy than boxers. He heard Angel's voice. "Settle down Pendyish. Watch some TV." Angel said. Pendrell sat down and turned on the TV, the message from the head angel flashed on the screen. "Hey cool, my TV never had 200 channels before." said Pendrell with glee. "Turn to channel 143." Pendrell changed the channel to 143. Angel appeared up on the screen. She waved at him. "Hey. How does this trick work?" "Did you read the message from the head angel? He said you could look down on whoever you want. Change the channel." Pendrell changed it to 144. Scully appeared on the screen at the FBI headquarters tapping on her keyboard. "This is a channel I will definitely watch." "Ok see you later Pendy." Angel flipped through the channels and stopped on this one channel. It was one of her coworkers, Dr. Logan Fox. She sighed and wondered if he's doing all right. The way she felt around him was like the way Pendrell felt around Scully. Oh how she missed him. Pendrell knocked on the closet door that connected the apartments. "What?" called Angel. "Can I come in?" said Pendrell. "Yeah, sure." Pendrell opened the door and walked in. He looked at her TV. "What are you watching?" "Logan. One of the scientists I worked with at the CDC. I had feelings towards him like yours towards Scully." Angel bit her lip; she looked like she was about to cry. Pendrell sat down next to her and hugged her. "It's all right. He's pretty cute anyway." Angel laughed between small sobs. "Hey Pendrell?" "What?" "Nice boxers." Pendrell fidgeted and covered his lap. Angel laughed. "Thanks. I'm gonna go put some pants on" "You don't have to." "I want to. It's cold in here." "Yeah, you don't want little Pendrell to freeze." Pendrell got up and went into his apartment to put on some pants and a shirt. Angel looked at Logan again. She got up and put her hand on the screen before turning the TV off. She headed over to Pendrell's apartment. To be continued......................
