Especially; should I make an epilogue or only this will do? xxxxx Kat, the flower girl walked gracefully down the aisle, spreading of rose petals of all colours as she passed. She had made her grandmother agree to let her wear her pink ballet shoes, and now she walked in a dancing motion, with complete confidence. Bill couldn't hold his smile seeing his only daughter. The march began, and he felt his sister squeezed his arm. He turned to smile at her. All the guest stood up and turned their gaze to the beautiful bride. Scully stepped on the red carpet. She couldn't believe her eyes. She kept telling herself that this was the same church as she saw years ago, but today everything seemed different. Everything seemed to be radiant, illuminated by thousand of sparkles, the air was filled with the sweet smell of a hundred kinds of flowers. The sun shone through the colourful glass, creating the most beautiful view. The carpet was soft, she felt like she was walking on the clouds. And the colourful lights from the windows was like a rainbow which arched from the heaven, guiding her where to go. To Fox William Mulder. He was standing straight at the altar facing the priest. From behind, he looked so firm like a statue. He kept his eyes shut when the wedding march began. He was afraid, that if the march stopped he would be awake and everything would just vanish like a dream in the night. When the march was finally ended, his heart stood still. He opened his eyes slowly and glanced to his side. He found her standing beside him. His Bride, Dana Katherine Scully. She was a vision of loveliness. No verbal language could ever describe the beauty that shone from her figure. She was there.. inside the snow-white gown. Her face was framed by some strands of curly auburn hair, and soft-coloured flowers decorated the top of her head which was covered by a train of soft tulle that swept the floor behind her. Her small hands held a bouquet of white lillies. They gazed at each other. Bill handed Scully's hand to Mulder, and Skinner gestured him to take it. Scully felt her heart melted on this slight touch. Mulder felt like he had just found the last piece of the puzzle, and his heart was complete. Kat reached out to hold Scully's bouquet, Skinner and Bill left them to take their seats at the bride's and groom's sides. All the guests were seated. Father McCue then started the ceremony by reading the first prayer. Scully watched Mulder from the corner of her eyes. Mulder was doing the same thing. Silently, they shared their unverbal communication. Scully took a quick glance to Samantha, who was seated on the groom's side, beside Mrs Mulder, and her eyes were back on his again. Mulder nodded invisibly. He shot her with a warm look of gratefulness and felt her squeezing his hand. He gestured at his inner pocket. He had got the disk from his sister. "Fox William, will you now, say your vow to your bride Dana Katherine?" Mulder turned at Father McCue who was smiling wisely at him. He shutted his eyes and drew a long deep breath. He had prepared something this morning. But everything just vanished. The final fifteen minutes, that Samantha had chosen to meet him, had completely shaken him. He turned at his bride and took her both hands. He had to say something spontaneously. "Dana Katherine, in all the years I've lived in this planet, I have gone through so many that I thought I couldn't face anything anymore. My faith has been shaken, and I had almost given up everything I had lived for. But you came then, a light to guide me out of the night. You have always been there for me, share my pain and double up my joy. You have made me what I have become. You're the only one I trust. I love you, Dana Katherine, with all my heart, my soul, and my life. I will take care of you and I won't let anyone, anything, steal that lovely smile from your face. I will always be with you, my love, from now on, for always.." Scully gazed into his eyes. His face blurred and she realized that her eyes were filled with tears. A single tear managed to escaped, and Mulder raised a finger to catch it before the other followed. "It's yours to state your vow, Dana Katherine," said Father McCue wearing a smile Dana was sure to be her father's. She felt Mulder caressed her hands. She turned at him and squeezed his hands. "Fox William, I believe in my previous life, we have met, and we have loved each other. Now, on the right place and at the perfect time, here I am, only to see you, and to love you again. Even death do us apart in this life, our soul will keep on living, searching for each other. We would see each other again, and we would fall in love again.. We are soulmates, Fox, we are meant to be together forever.." Mulder gazed into his bride's clear green eyes. How he longed to reach out and held her tightly... There was nothing he wanted more than cherishing her. Her who had made his life complete. He took the gold ring in Scully's right hand and slipped it into the left. She did the same. The choir sang. The sweet melody filled the air as Mulder escorted his bride to the table with three peach candles, two small ones, and a big one in the middle which wasn't lit up yet. But the other two, the smaller ones, were already lit by Margaret Scully and Ann Mulder. Mulder and Scully took one each, and together they lit up the big one in the middle. Father McCue held his bible close to his heart when the ritual took place. He had witnessed so many weddings, so many young couples declared their love to each other. But this one was different. The bride was so radiant and loving, and the groom was so firm and caring. Somehow he was touched by Dana's vow. He indeed saw them as two lost and lonely souls who had finally found their mates after a long and endless-like journey. He had never felt so right in pronouncing couples husband and wife. Mulder brought his hand to her face and touched her cheek lightly. He leaned over, she craned her neck up. Their lips met, sealing their vows forever. The audience gave them a standing applause. Mulder smiled at her and she blushed. Kat handed the bouquet back to her, and she led their way out of the church. Scully walked the aisle once again, this time, in the hand of her husband. Her husband. How beautiful the word sounded! Fox William Mulder, her husband! She squeezed his arm and looked up at him. He turned her look and gently kissed her head. The church door was opened from the outside, revealing the blue sky and the March sunrays. Mulder escorted his bride out and the next second, they were showered by flowers, rose petals, and colourful papers pieces. Mulder and Scully gasped simultaneously at the view. There were at least a hundred people out there in the church yard. They stepped to the side, giving them a way, but kept showering them with items and shouted things. Mulder recognized them as the federal agents. Scully recognized some of her students in the Academy. "I thought we were quite descreet!" Mulder shouted to Scully, but his voice was buried in the noisy crowd. "No slightest idea!" replied Scully, who was receiving a peck on her cheek from a female agent. "Thanks, Janice! Miriel! Gosh, how did you guys found out??" "It was Skinner, Mulder, he put announcement paper everywhere!" "He did what??!!" Mulder's eyes almost popped out his head. "In every floor of the Headquarters, and every corners of the Academy!!" "Hey, Dana, are we invited to the reception?!!" Mulder and Scully turned at each other. What else could they say? After all, they were all their friends. The flower rain kept falling as they made their way to the black shining Mercedez Benz covered with flower decorations. Scully widened her eyes to see Langly in the driver's seat, and Byers holding the car door for them. She glanced at Mulder with a big question mark on her face but Mulder only shrugged. The Lone Gunmen were his closest friends. Was it strange that they took a part in their wedding? "Dana!! The bouquet!!" "Throw the bouquet, Dana! Come on!!" Scully turned around and saw the eager faces of the female agents. She smiled. It wasn't a matter of believing it or not, but catching the bride's bouquet was truly something special. She turned around so her back was facing them, and threw the bouquet. Mulder put an arm around her as they both watched the bouquet floating high in the air. Scully smiled. As she threw the bouquet, she had stepped to a higher level of life. A new beginning. They looked into each other's eyes. From that point on, they were one. Together they would be, and together they would always be.. xxxxxxx THE END xxxxxxx
