Author's Note: I came up with the basic idea for this short story late
one evening, which may explain a few things. And i added another
idea at the end from an episode of 'Red Dwarf' called 'Quarantine'
and filled in the gaps inbetween.

Gingham Dress - by Big Pete

Mulder came to. His head ached like he'd had ten pints of extra strength
lager the night before, Which he hadn't, although if he had he'd understand
why his head hurt so much. He looked around, but couldn't see any thing,
literally, as it was dark... or had he gone blind??
He went to move his hands to rub his eyes, but couldn't, his hands were
handcuffed to something metallic - probably a water or gas pipe, he assumed.
He managed to get into a sitting position, with much effort, and while
doing so he rubbed the side of his head against a brick wall, which made him
realise he had a blindfold on, and also explained the lack of sight.
How long he'd been there he didn't know, as to where he was, was anyones
guess. He was starting to remember some of the events leading up to his
loss of conciousness, He'd been searching through a dark, dank, derelict
warehouse on the edge of town in pursuit of a psychotic serial killer, when
he'd been hit on the head from behind.
But he realised he wasn't in the warehouse now, as it was cold and damp in
the warehouse, but he was now in a dry, warm place, with soft fluffy carpet
under him. There was no sounds except for ones he was creating by moving
and breathing. He strained to hear any other noises which might give him a
clue as to where he might be, but to no avail. So all he could do was sit
and wait, and hope someone would come to his aid. Minutes passed, then what
seemed like hours. He was beginning to feel hungry and thirsty. He dearly
wanted someone to come and release him, or shoot him, he didn't care which,
as he didn't like being left chained blindfolded to pipes for hours.
A couple more hours must have passed when suddenly he heard the sound of a
door being kicked in and voices and footsteps on the stairs. So he was
upstairs somewhere, one more clue to where he was, but who were the people
approaching? friend or foe, was he to be set free or killed. his heart was
beating faster in anticipation. He heard some more doors being kicked open,
but this time they were nearer to his location. Another door, closer, maybe
the room next to this one.
He tried to cry out, but found he had a gag round his mouth, but he did
make a moaning sound. They must've heard as the door to the room was burst
open, they'd found him.
"He's here!" someone shouted, obviously to some other person downstairs.
He heard more footsteps running up the stairs and towards the room.
"Let me through!" It was a woman's voice, somehow familiar. Could it be??
"Are you ok, Mulder?" she said as she untied his gag, then removed the
blindfold. Revealing Scully and a room full of police officers.
"How did you find me?" Mulder asked.
"We caught the killer four hours ago, and after a lot of questioning he
told us where you were," She said, "And he confessed to the killings too."
"Why didn't he kill me aswell?" He asked
"Well, i guess he wanted to humiliate you first" She said to Mulder, then
turning to one of the officers said "Get me some bolt cutters, please"
The officer left the room.
 "Humiliate me?" Mulder said puzzled.
Scully tried not to laugh, grinning instead, and gestured for Mulder to look
down. He did so, revealing that he was wearing a red gingham dress, and
matching hat.
