Harvest Moon - The Mulder and Scully edition

Summary: A little game makes Scully all angry. (bad summary)
Author: Sleepless42
Category: MSR/Humor (hopefully)
Rating: PG-13, maybe, I don't know.
Spoilers: None that I know of.
Archive: Just tell me, so I can visit.
Disclaimer: Mulder and Scully are not mine. I am just borrowing them
for a (stupid) little story. Also, the game Harvest Moon doesn't
belong to me either. The only thing that is mine is the plot which is
not even good.
Feedback: Yes, please! Send to sleeplessdreamer42@hotmail.com
Author's Note: This is my first x-files fan fic, ever. I
only wrote Friends and Original stuff, so don't expect too much. You
should also know that English is not my main language (it's german).
Sorry in advance for any grammar errors. I don't know Harvest Moon
for the Playstation, only the one for Snes but I guess it is not that
different. Hope you enjoy it at least a bit.

Mulder sat in his apartment, bored as hell. Scully had told him to
stay at home after he had managed to get himself in trouble once
again. Since she was already too angry with him, he just did what she
said. But now he had nothing to do. He even considered cleaning his
apartment.

Mulder zapped through the programmes. Nothing on. Usually, he would
watch any crap but not today. With a big sigh, he turned the TV off
and lay down on his couch. He couldn't call Scully. She had said that
she didn't want to see or hear him for the rest of the day unless it
was a real emergency. Well, it is an emergency, he thought, I am
bored. But he knew he had annoyed her enough already.

In the end, Mulder ended up cleaning anyway. And to his own surprise,
he actually had fun doing it. He found things he didn't even remember,
like old CD's which he played while continuing with his work. And then
he found it; a playstation. He was surprised. Did I buy THAT? He
thought and wiped some dust off it. Mulder had no recollection of
buying it. For a moment he just stared at it then decided to play a
bit with it.

After three houres Mulder was still playing. He didn't even notice the
passing time. This game, Harvest Moon, was really fun to play. Even
though he didn't remember how he had gotten the Playstation, he was
glad now to have it. At least, he wasn't bored anymore.

Scully was in her apartment, reading. She had eaten a gorgeous meal,
and was relaxed. She was enjoying a 'Mulder-free'evening. At least
that's what she tried to tell herself. Scully was worried. She had
told, no ORDERED Mulder only to call when it was a real emergency. She
had been just too angry with him. First he ditched her for something
and then he ended up in the hospital. But she had wanted to spend a
quite Sunday at home and she couldn't let him destroy that. Still, she
was worried. She just had to check on him.

When she arrived at his apartment it was already eight p.m. Something
told her Mulder hadn't eaten all day and so she had brought some food
with her. Why the hell am I doing this? She thought before she knocked
at his door. It took quite a while until he answered it. "Mulder, were
you asleep?" she asked, already regretting that she had come. "No, not
at all." He told her. Then it hit him. "Didn't you say that you had
enough of me today?" he asked with a grin. Scully just glared angrily
at him so he didn't say more and let her in.

"You cleaned?" she was surprised by the sight of his very clean
apartment. "Well, I had nothing better to do. Since you told me to
stay home, relax and NOT call you." Scully's eyes wandered around and
stopped at the TV screen. "What is that?" "Oh, I found a Playstation
when I cleaned up and-" "A playstation?" Scully gave him an amused
look. "I don't know where it comes from. Must be an x-file." Scully
rolled her eyes. "So what are you playing?" she asked. "Oh, it's
called Harvest Moon. It is really cool. The parents of this boy are
away and you have to take care of the farm." Mulder told her excited.

"Really?" Scully was no even half as thrilled as Mulder. She didn't
quite understand why he was so anxious about it. "Look", Mulder
explained and took the gamepad again, "I've got cows, which I have to
brush and talk to so that they give more milk." He looked at her,
hoping to get a positive reaction but Scully looked rather bored.
"And", he continued, "Here are my chicken. If I don't feed them every
day, they won't give eggs for three days. That happened to me about an
hour ago... Anyway, this little guy has to get married too! And they
can have kids, too!" Mulder told her the last part really excited.
Scully looked just amused.

Even though, she wouldn't admit it to Mulder, the game looked pretty
fine to Scully after some watching. Until she saw something that
shocked her. "Why is my name in that?" she asked curious. "Eh... I had
to give the dog a name." Mulder told her without taking his eyes of
the screen. Scully was suddenly furious. "You gave my name to a DOG?!"
Mulder paused the game and smiled at her, sheepishly. "Why do you call
that dog Dana! Why didn't you name it Fox!?" she yelled. She was
actually surprised that it bothered her so much. Mulder was surprised,
too. "The boy is already called Fox." He explained to her. "I wanted
to call him Mulder but there weren't enough letters." He added. "I
don't care. You gave that dog my name. MY NAME!"

"Geez, Scully, it's just a game." Mulder said. Scully ignored him. "So
you think of me like of a dog." "No, I-" she still ignored him. "You
see me as your dog. Very interesting. I knew why I didn't want to see
you today. Why did I even come here? What did I think?" "Scully, I
called the dog Dana because... well, it's a nice name." He tried to
explain but knew that it was just stupid. Scully gave him an icy
glare. "I like your name." He said. "Well, you never call me by it."
She said. Oops, how did I get THERE? She thought but it was too late
to take it back.

"Do you want me to call you Dana? I can do that if-". Scully cut him
off. "No, it's just... I don't know." She was calmer now and sat down
again. Mulder sat down beside her, but not too close. He didn't want
to upset her even more. For a moment neither of them said anything
then Mulder gently told her: "You know that dog is the boy's best
friend." Scully turned to him. "I don't know why I freaked out like
that. I know it's just a game. Today is not my day, I guess." She
explained. "Well, I did destroy your Sunday. I would be angry too."
Their eyes locked in an intense glare and before either of them could
react, they were kissing intensly.

After about ten seconds, Scully broke the kiss. "Where did that come
from?" she said more to herself. "Maybe from the same universe where
the Playstation came from." He joked smiling but Scully just stared at
him. "Seriously, Mulder." "Geez, I don't know. But... well, I kinda
liked it." He admitted rather quietly. Scully thought for a moment
then kissed him again, even more passionately. This time neither of
them broke it. Well, Mulder wouldn't be bored for quite some time.

				END

That was it. It took a different direction that I had planned, but it
still isn't better. I hope you tell me what you thought, anyway.
