Yay, next week they're re-playing Existence!!! ~~~ Heartbeats. As natural as the rising of the sun, two sets beat close. The heartbeats' respective people are sleeping, dozing comfortably in each others' presence. They are, for the first time in a very long while, completely happy. Memories of death and conspiracy are forgotten. The dreams they dream are of bliss-ridden love, a love just shared for the first time. The heartbeats work in tandem as the dozing bodies' bare chests move up and down in the relaxing pattern of sleep. The future is unknown to them; the horrors that are to come are not imagined. There is heartbreak to come, months and months of it. But right this moment they are content, and that is all that matters. The truth is out there. They have found it. And for all the tears that will be shed, for all the nights she will not sleep, for all the times he will yell her name during the long separation that is to come, happiness will return. For just this moment, suddenly, out of the blue, undetected and unrealized, there is a (fainter, of course, and new and fresh and unsure) third heartbeat. ~~ The End. Wow, that was really short.
