Please don't sue me. I have a "puppy" to support. Okay this is my second story. The story line comes from the video for "Helping Me Get Over You" by Travis Tritt and Lari White. I want to say hi to all the crazy band, colorguard, and choir people that I hang out with. Well here's my story. Helping Me Get Over You by Megan Harris "Well listen, you can't wait around forever." she said. "I know." he said. "You need to go with me tonight. It'll be good for you." "I know. You're right." "I'll be good for you." she said. Just then she got up and said, "Excuse me, I'll be right back." And as Fox Mulder watched her walk away he saw her, Dana Scully, walk out of a store. She bumped into some guy and he helped her pick up her bags and as she walked away she saw him. They both froze and stared at each other. Scully finally tore her eyes off of him and got in her car and drove off. Deanna came back and asked, "Are you ready?" "Yeah, let's go." When Scully got home it took all the strength she had to not collapse and cry. It seemed like a million years ago since they had broken up, when in fact it had only been a couple of weeks. She would never forget the day that she had broken up with Mulder. The scene kept replaying in her mind. She never understood what a guy like Mulder would see in her. She always felt that she wasn't good enough for him. And because of that she was extremely jealous of every woman that she and Mulder met. One day she accused Mulder of cheating on her and she left him. Deep down in her heart she knew it was a mistake but her pride kept her from admitting it. Scully got a transfer so they never saw each other. "Dana honey, are you okay?" Jim asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." she replied. Her boyfriend's voice had jarred her back to the present. "Are you sure?" he asked. "Yeah, I was just thinking." she said. "About what?" "Nothing." she lied. "You were thinking about him again. Weren't you?" he accused. "No I wasn't." she said trying to lie and keep from crying at the same time. "Yes you were. Dana when are you going to forget about him?" he asked. "I don't know if I'll ever forget about him." she said. "We don't have time to argue about it now. We have to get ready to go to the party." he said. They were going to a party with some people that Jim worked with. Luckily Scully's best friend was going too so at least she would know some one else besides Jim. At that very same moment in Mulder's apartment he was having the same conversation with Deanna. "I was not thinking about her." Mulder lied. The truth was that he had been thinking about her ever since he saw her at the cafe. "Don't lie to me." Deanna said. "Fox, why can't you just forget about her?" "I'm trying but I can't." "We can't argue about it now. We have to get ready to go to the party." They were going to a party with some of Deanna's co-workers. Mulder didn't know them but he had agreed to go with her. Later that night At the party "Hi. Jim said you were coming and we all sort of wondered." Lari said. "Well, I'm trying..." "I told her that she'd have a good time. She just needs to spread her wings a bit." Jim interrupted. Scully looked at him as if to say yeah, right. They sat down at their table and made idle conversation for about five minutes. Scully glanced over her shoulder and saw Mulder. At the same time Mulder glanced over his shoulder and saw Scully. He would have stopped but Deanna was pulling him along. Mulder and Deanna were talking to some of her friends when out of the corner of his eye he saw Scully coming towards him. He could no longer resist the temptation and he started to walk over to her. Finally they met and they just stared at each other. The End (or is it?) So what do you think? Should I write a sequel? I won't if nobody e-mails me. If anybody wants the lyrics for this song e-mail me. (My desperate ploy for e-mail.) mjh@psnw.com.
