Heroine, a post-ep drabble

No, Agent Scully, you did NOT screw up by leaving Agent Doggett behind;
not for a pathology consultation.  That does not require backup, and
Agent Doggett is not an MD.  He'd be of no use, and bored silly.

Where you DID screw up was in not taking local backup along to visit the
crime scene: an experienced local officer, familiar with desert
conditions and in the habit of toting the tools to deal with them.
Deserts are unforgiving, with or without cults.

Get back to thinking and acting like a trained field agent, not the
heroine of some Victorian romance.
