Summary: Mulder and Scully hear a song that makes them think.

Disclaimer:  They are not mine.  Mulder and Scully belong to CC and 
Fox.  I just borrowed them for a little story.  The song I DO(CHERISH 
YOU) is sung by 98 Degrees.

Note:  This is my FIRST attempt at writing fanfic so don't be to 
harsh.  I would like constructive feed back though.  Comments can be

I Do
MSrox

Their last case had been a hard and confusing one with many twists and 
dead-ends.  Both Agents Mulder and Scully were just about ready to 
collapse when, out of nowhere the answer came and the case was closed.

"Mulder, can we go home now?"

"Sounds like a plan Scully," Mulder answered warily.  "I'm about to 
drop dead from exhaustion."

"In that case, I'm driving," joked Scully.

"But your feet won't even reach the pedals," teased Mulder.  He tried 
to say this with a serious look but his eyes gave him away.

Scully rolled her eyes with a smile. <If he wants to drive, fine by 
me.  I get to sleep.>  They got in the car and Mulder started to drive 
them home.  For some strange reason Scully could not sleep. <Hmm, 
maybe if we turn on some music it will help me fall asleep.>  "Mulder, 
can we turn the radio on?"

"Um, yeah," answered a slightly confused Mulder.  <We never listen to 
the radio when we are in the car.>  "Why Scully?"

"Because I can not fall asleep.  Maybe some soft soothing music will 
help me fall asleep."

"Oh.  In that case, I know the perfect station."  Mulder smiled to 
himself as he turned on the radio.  <She is going to love it!>

All of a sudden the radio came to life as it blasted out the end of 
"When the Lights Go Out" by Five.  Scully, who had already closed her 
eyes, nearly jumped out of her seat.  "MULDER!  What the hell is this?  
I wanted *SOFT* music, not this."

"Chill Scully.  This station doesn't play *ALL* loud music."  As soon 
as Mulder said this a new song came on.

"All I am, all I'll be
Everything in this world
All that I ever need
Is in your eyes
Shining at me..."

<Wow!> mused Scully <Mulder sure knows how to pick radio stations.>

"...When you smile I can feel
All my passion unfolding..."

<Oh my gosh!  This is so real.  I just love the way Mulder smiles at 
me.>

"...Your hand brushes mine
And a thousand sensations
Seduce me 'cause I..."

<I wonder who is singing this?  It is like it was written just for 
me.> Scully pondered.

"I do, cherish you
For the rest of my life
You don't have to think twice
I will love you still
From the depths of my soul
It's beyond my control
I've waited so long to say this to you
If you're asking do I love you this much
I do"

After hearing this Scully realized how much she loved Mulder and how 
much he meant to her, she started to cry.  Mulder on the other hand, 
had not been listening to the song, but when he saw Scully close to 
tears, he wondered what was making her cry.  As soon as he thought 
this the second verse came on.

"In my world, before you
I lived outside my emotions
Didn't know where I was going..."

<That sounds a lot like me.  What the heck, that *WAS* me.> Thought a 
very shocked Mulder.

"...'Til that day I found you
How you opened my life
To a new paradise..."

<Yes, being with Scully is paradise.  Ever since day one.>

"...In a world torn by change
Still with all of my heart
'Til my dying day..."

<Scully has changed me.  She has made me whole.  She saved me.>

"I do, cherish you
For the rest of my life
You don't have to think twice
I will love you still
From the depths of my soul			
It's beyond my control
I've waited so long to say this to you
If you're asking do I love you this much
I do"

After hearing this song, Mulder knew that he needed Scully.  He turned 
and faced Scully.  She turned and their eyes locked.  In each others 
eyes they saw love and passion.  They knew that they would always be 
together, no matter what.

"Scully, I love you." The words came so fast yet they were honest and 
true.  Mulder's heart raced as he awaited Scully's response.

When Mulder had declared his love for her, she was overwhelmed with 
joy and love.  "I love you too Mulder."
