Author's notes: Written five minutes before my shift started at work today... ___________________________________________________________ Mulder didn't wake me up on purpose. He was crying out my name in a deep painful moan. I came out in the living room and, though his eyes were wide open, he was still fast asleep, having a nightmare of some sort. "Shhh, Mulder! I'm here... Everything'll be alright now!" I told him as I sat beside him and took him in my arms. "Nothing'll ever be alright again..." he sobbed. "You've been gone so long that I don't blame you if you have trouble believing in all of this at first sight." I said. "I believe..." he whispered before he went back to sleep on my lap. And, I watched Mulder rest for the first time since he came back from his terrible ordeal... Finally...
