I think I figured it out. Scully got pregnant in August 2000 and found out about it in September 2000. So, she's due in May 2001, in time for the season (and probably series) finale. There's even a good chance Mulder will return in time for it too... It makes more sense than to have Scully give birth in the middle of the season and have her carrying the baby around. Unless, she loses it. My bet is that the baby is going to be a girl and here are the last sentences of the last episode. ________________________________________________________________________________ SCULLY (in hospital bed, holding her lovely daughter in her arms) I wanted to call her Samantha, after your sister... MULDER (lying next to Scully, admiring his miracle) I was thinking more about Mlissa, after yours... SCULLY Let's name her Samantha Mlissa Mulder... MULDER (turning to look at his partner and to kiss her) I'm so lucky to have you, Dana. SCULLY Hmmm! I love you too, Fox. MULDER (giggling a little before talking again) So, now... If I promise to be a better husband, and father, than partner, would you marry me? SCULLY I thought you'd never ask... Yes, Mulder! I would be happy to be your wife. MULDER Took me nine years to make you agree with me. SCULLY (smiling) I always believed in you, Mulder. I just liked to challenge you. MULDER You can say that again... You just challenged me to be a dad at the same time as your spouse. SCULLY You probably will also have to save the world on your own because I intend to be a full-time mom for a few months. MULDER The world can wait a little longer... I have a family to take care of and to come home too, now.
