"Scully, How do you feel about Valentines Day?" Why is he asking?

"I think it's juvenile" I answer bluntly.

"Juvenile, Scully?" What did I just say? Yes, juvenile. "Did you
know that Valentine's Day is a Christianization of the Roman 
festival of Lupercalia where men went around whipping female 
bystanders with strips of leather made from freshly sacrificed 
goats? That sounds like a grown up thing to me, not juvenile."

"Mulder, did you know that I don't care?" I lie. As irritated as
I try be at him, I love when he calls me just to tell some 
bizarre non-sequitor.

"Ok, Scully, I was just checking. I'll talk to you later. Bye." 

Well, at least she answered my question. 

I guess I'll send these flowers to my mother and put the heart 
shaped card in the drawer with all the other cards I've bought 
but have been too chicken to send to Scully.
