Mulder decided to visit the LGM to find out why Frohike was calling Scully "party girl" when he received a mysterious call from AD Skinner. Enjoy it! Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Las Vegas Review II by Randi LGM Headquarters "Who is this?" "It's me Frohike. Open up!" "Just in time, Mulder. Hey, guys, look who is here. Do you want to join us? I'm a genius at the kitchen. You have to try my huevos rancheros. Common in. Hey, you left someone." "Uh?" "Where is your hot partner, Mulder?" "She is 'safe' at home." They looked at each other perfectly knowing what Mulder was trying to say. "Is she okay, Mulder? I'm responsible for what happened in Las Vegas. I swear to you that I never expected th..." He was suddenly interrupted by Frohike. "Byers, why don't you finish your huevos rancheros?" "Cut the crap, Frohike. Byers, what do you mean by 'what happened in Las Vegas'?" "Byers! Eat!" "Hey, boys. Scully told me that she does not remember what happened to her after she started the autopsy. You, Langly. You were there with her. What happened, Langly?" "Well..." "Sit down, Mulder. Let's eat and talk. Old Frohike will try to explain everything." "Yes, dad." "Oh! I can tell that you finally talked to her. She is a great woman, Mulder." "I know that. Okay, let's talk. First things, first. What were you three doing in Las Vegas?" "Another convention. US defense contractors. While we were there a source told us that a new stealth assassination technology was supposed to be unveiled there." "What? Why did you decide to call Scully and not me? You know how skeptic she is about all of this." "We were up against the government and I thought that since you are a household name it was better to have Scully around. We needed our own government agent. I decided to call her after we spent five days in the convention." "Not to mention the three grand inversion." "Of course, Langly. Our inversion. Well, I thought that maybe this was my opportunity to see Susanne again." "And how did you find Susanne." "It is a long story, Mulder. The thing is that we gathered some information and connected it with the Advanced Weapon Facility in New Mexico where Susanne developed the AH gas." "Of course, she developed the Ergotimene histamine gas, an aerosolized gas which in small doses caused anxiety paranoia in its subject. Secret forces within the government planned to test the gas on the American people in Baltimore. It was part of the Engineered Biological Operation. Toxic organic agents used on humans. They were going to use it through asthma inhalers. I remember it, Byers. I was exposed to it." "Of course, you remember it, Mulder. When the Men in Black arrived you were naked on the floor. It was our first impression of Agent Mulder. Right guys?" "Very funny, Langly. And what did you find this time?" "Susanne's new invention: Anoitic Histamine, a derivative of AH gas. It impedes higher brain functions, promoting suggestibility. Mind control. Brainwashing. Which explains Jimmy's death. They told him to commit suicide." "Who's Jimmy?" "One of our friends attending the convention. They made Scully forget her autopsy findings." "Frohike, what do you mean by 'they made her'?" Mulder looked at them very suspiciously. "She was exposed to the gas apparently when she was performing the autopsy." "But Langly you were with her, it is impossible." "Mulder, I went to the bathroom for a sec..." "Yes, Scully told me about that." "Er, did she?" "Yes, Langly. If I'm correct, while you were vomiting in the bathroom they must have sprayed her with the gas." "Vomiting?" Byers and Frohike looked at a nervous Langly. "Oh, that's new for us, Mulder. She was injected with a special gun..." Frohike was interrupted when Mulder's phone rang. "Mulder." "Agent Mulder, could you please hold the line? Assistant Director Skinner wants to talk to you." "Agent Mulder?" "Yes, Sir." "Where are you?" "Why sir?" "Is Agent Scully with you?" "No, Sir. Is something wrong with Agent Scully? Was she abducted again, Sir?" "Agent Mulder, this is very serious business we are talking here. Do you know where was Agent Scully this weekend?" "Er, Las Vegas, Sir." "Agent Mulder, was she freelancing by herself this time? How fast can you be in my office?" "Give me a break, I will call Scully and we will meet you there as soon as possible." "Agent Mulder, I will prefer to talk to you first. I received a newspaper supplement with some disturbing news about both of you."
