Chris does. Don't sue me. I work with children and have no money to give you. Mulder watched Scully as she walked out of his hospital room. He didn't undertand her reaction to his sincere words. They loved each other, right? Well, then what's the big deal about saying it? Mulder chided himself, 'fool, after five years, she's probably just worried about ruining "our special friendship."' He sighed. Scully walked out of Mulder's room briskly. Then, as soon as she was safely away from his line of vision, she slammed her back up against a wall and slid down to the floor, in complete shock. The ever-concerned Frohike came to her rescue, ruining Scully's facade of calm in the process. "Oh, God!" Frohike yelled at the top of his lungs, "Dana! Are you alright?!" Scully could barely process that he had just called her "Dana"...but it peeved her nonetheless. She also realized a moment too late that Mulder would have heard the commotion. "Scully!" He cried as he scooped her up off the floor and into his arms, ignoring the draft through the back of his hospital gown. Scully grunted in response and pulled herself away from Mulder's chest, where she had found her face burried to the point of not being able to breathe. As she looked up into Mulder's eyes, she could hear his voice again, "Scully, I love you." So sincere. So very full of love and tenderness. "I hope it's not to late, Mulder," she said, quietly, "but...I love you, too." Mulder smiled and said, "Thank you, Doctor Scully, that is the response I was looking for." Then, before she could come up with her own smart-ass remark, he pushed his lips onto her's in a suffocating kiss that seemed to go on forever. From a distance, Frohike sighed. "Dammit," he said to himself, "I was afraid this would happen. Damn Mulder and his inability to stay uninjured..." With that, he walked away, grumbling. The End.
