SUMMARY: Its 155 words. Just read it. It will take a minute, tops! WEBSITE: www.cybillxfilesopus.com FEEDBACK: Means so much to a writer. It's quick, easy, and cheap for you, but it's priceless to the person you're sending it to. Written for the Believe the Truth's Valentine's Day Challenge, posed by our dearest, Sallie. Elements were: MSR with hearts and/or flowers mentioned. As always, thanks to Opus for the encouragement, and for whipping me into shape when I needed exactly 155 words! You go, girl. "Hey Scully?" she looked up from the report she was reading. "Do you think it is better to have loved and lost, than to have never have loved at all?" "I don't know," she bit her lip and considered his question a moment. "I guess I'd have to say, yes." He nodded, but didn't offer a retort. "Why do you ask, Mulder?" "Well, it is Valentines Day. Couples are sending their mate flowers and celebrating their love right now." Her eyebrows lifted in question. "Yet, so many others are expounding on the loves that they have lost." She held his gaze but did not respond. He continued, "So, I'm wondering, which are you?" "Neither. You?" "I haven't exactly figured out how to tell you that I'm in love with you yet, so, I guess I'm neither too." Her jaw dropped open; she was at a loss for words. "Happy Valentine's Day, Scully." "I'll say, Mulder." The End
