Summary: Scully gets an unsolicited request for a
Valentine's Day dinner date.

                  Mr. Wonderful

My name is Special Agent Michael Fisk and I work for
the FBI in Washington, DC. I've been a Special Agent
for three years now. I attended Cornell and graduated
with a Masters Degree in Criminology. I'm a born and
bred New Englander, while my family didn't arrive on
the Mayflower they were on the next ship to set sail
for the New World.

Personally, I'm easy on the eyes, not quite six-foot
with a muscular, toned, build and sporting a full head
of light, blonde hair. I have steel-gray eyes and a
perfect smile thanks to twenty thousand dollars worth
of orthodontia work when I was a child.

I'm considered among the best of the best at the
Bureau and on the fast track for advancement. I don't
dirty my hands in VCS or Drug Enforcement. I won't
profile or volunteer for stakeouts. I work in the
golden division these days, Terrorism. Most of the
work is done electronically and I only need to sift
through the reams of papers and tapes that cross my
desk and decide what is a legitimate threat and what
isn't; so far I'm batting a thousand. But there is
something else I've set my sights on, aside from the
directorship of the FBI, and that's a certain little
fiery-haired agent named Dana Scully. She's a medical
doctor and a pathologist, nice figure, pretty package.
I know she's a navy brat but blue blood can mingle
with a little red blood once in awhile. The only
thing that's stopping me from having her already is
that 'attached at the hip' partner of hers. Yes, I've
heard the rumors but I figure she must have started
slumming with him long before I came along. Once I
ply her with my charms it will be 'so long Spooky'.

Today is February 12th only two days before
Valentine's Day and on February 14th at 7PM Dana and I
should be sitting down to dinner at the Cap and Bugle.
I've had the reservations for months and now its time
to tell my dinner date that she's the lucky gal who
will be spending Valentine's Day with me, Mr.
Wonderful.

                      ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Dana Scully walks into the basement office she shares
with her FBI partner. She slams her coat down on her
desk and pushes a stray strand of hair out of her
cold-steel blue eyes. "Dammit Mulder, you always take
any questioning of your methods the wrong way!
Skinner had every right to scream at us over entering
that garage without a search warrant."

Mulder loosens his tie and slumps down in his chair.
He cocks his head to the side and grimaces while
Scully continues to rip on him.

"And another thing, why on earth would you tell him
that it didn't matter anyway because we were at the
wrong garage?"
Scully places her hand on the back of his chair and
places her other one on her hip inside her open
jacket. She pushes his chair back slightly and looks
into his eyes. "Mulder, sometimes I don't understand
how your brain is wired. It's like you lose control
of your mouth and..."

Scully is interrupted by a knock on the door.

She looks over her shoulder while Mulder looks around
her to find Agent Fisk peeking around the door. "Ah,
sorry if I'm interrupting...a fight."

Mulder gets up and runs his fingers through his hair
trying to act as if nothing of import had been
happening. "What can we do for you, Agent?"

Fisk clears his throat and stands as tall as he can.
"Actually I want to speak with Agent Scully," he
boldly smiles.

Scully looks surprised. "Okay, what can I do for you
Agent Fisk?"

"Can I talk to you in private?" Fisk softly says,
aware of the glare he is getting from Agent Scully's
partner.

"Ah, sure," Scully replies looking back at Mulder.

Fisk looks like he's just won the lottery as he
flashes his twenty thousand dollar smile. They enter
the narrow, ill-lit hallway and Fisk pulls the door to
the office shut. "Agent Scully, Dana, I've admired
you for sometime now and I feel we could make
beautiful music together."

Scully frowns, "I don't understand Agent Fisk, are you
forming a band?"

"A band? Oh, very funny." Fisk puts one elbow on a
nearby filing cabinet and leans into Scully. "So
you're not only beautiful, you're sassy too!"

Scully crosses her arms and sets her jaw. "Agent
Fisk, what's going on here?"

"Come on Dana, you're not that dense, your partner
might be but not you. I want to make your Valentine's
Day special by affording you the opportunity to
accompany me to the Cap and Bugle for dinner."

"The Cap and Bugle? That's rather expensive isn't
it?"

"I want to show you how the other half lives." He
smugly says.

"The other half?"

"Yes, no more slumming with Spooky down here," he
says, nodding toward the office door.

Scully lets out a little chuckle and looks down.
"Agent Fisk, I'm sure there are lots of woman who
would love to take you up on your offer, I'm just not
one of them."

Fisk looks stunned. "Not one of them? Dana, I'm
offering you a night of style, romance, and wonderful
companionship."

Scully would love to rip this guy's heart out, if she
thought she could find it, but instead she takes the
high road. "Agent, I'd like to thank you for the
offer but I don't think so."

Scully moves back to stand before the office door.
Agent Fisk grabs her arm, "I don't take 'no' for an
answer."

Scully looks down at her arm then up at the agent. He
blanches and removes his hand. "I don't understand,
are you doing something on Valentine's Day?"

"With any luck an autopsy," Scully snaps as she turns
the doorknob and pushes the door open with her hip.

Mulder is slumped in his chair with his legs stretched
out while he plays with a pencil. He glances up at
Scully then back down at the pencil. "So what did
Golden Boy want?"

"He asked me out," Scully curtly says.

"Are you going?" Mulder asks in a wavering, unsure
voice?"

Scully smiles, "Of course not."

She walks over to his chair and once again tilts it
back. She moves in closer to her partner, so close
that his eyes cross as he stares at her. She lightly
kisses his lips, "Come on, I'll buy your lunch." She
pulls him out of the chair as a smile covers his face
and he flashes his fifty thousand dollar smile.

February 13th

Dana Scully has just finished the autopsy Skinner
assigned her to perform since she and Mulder have some
downtime. She is just pulling off her gloves when
she hears the door creak. "Care to take me to lunch,
Mul..." she halts as she turns to see Agent Fisk
standing there.

"I'm not Spooky, but I would love to take you to
lunch, Dana."
Fisk smiles a broad shit-eating grin at Scully's
embarrassment.

She chooses to ignore his question. "Agent Fisk, what
can I do for you?"

Fisk hovers over Scully, picking up a few strands of
her hair. "That's a loaded question don't you think,
Dana?"

Scully drops her head and slides sideways trying to
extract herself from Fisk but he's having none of
that. He grabs her arms and looks down at her. "Come
on Dana, go out with me on Valentine's Day, I can show
you a real nice time." He leans into her ear and
whispers; "Maybe I'll even buy you a babble or two if
you're real good. Do you prefer Emeralds or Rubies?"

Just then the door opens. "Ready to go Scully?"
Mulder stops dead in his tracks as Scully wrestles
loose from Fisk' grip.

"I'll, um, be there in a minute Mulder, I need to
clean up." Scully says as she turns to go to the
lockers. She pauses to say, "I'm sorry Agent Fisk,
but I can't help you."

Mulder stands next to the door, staring at the other
agent, as he clenches and unclenches his fists. Fisk
nervously straightens his tie and steps past Mulder.
"Agent," he says on his way out. Mulder watches him
until the door completely closes.

Scully soon reappears in her usual FBI attire. "Come
on Mulder," she says, reaching for the doorknob but
Mulder puts his hand over hers.

"Scully wait, are you okay?"

Scully flashes him her patented;
how-dare-you-ask-me-that look then softens when she
sees the look of concern on Mulder's face.
"I'm fine Mulder," she smiles at him, "really I am."

"You're sure?"

"Yes, but you might have a passed out partner on your
hands if I don't get fed soon."

"Lead the way," Mulder motions with his hand.

February 14th

Dana Scully has just parked her car in the Bureau
parking garage; she grabs her briefcase and a stack of
files and hurries for the elevator when a man steps
out of the shadows. He startles her and she drops her
files, scattering them across the concrete floor.

"I didn't mean to scare you, Dana."

"Agent Fisk, I didn't see you standing there," an
exasperated Scully says as she crouches to retrieve
her papers.

"Here allow me," Fisk says as he begins to pick up her
papers. He stands and hands the files to Scully. "So
Dana, have you had time to consider my offer?"

Scully looks down at the mess in her hands and then
off to the side. "Agent Fisk..."

"Please, call me Michael, Dana."

Scully looks directly at the blonde agent towering
over her. "Agent Fisk," she curtly says, "I'm sorry
but I have a meeting that I am very late for so if you
will excuse me." She steps to the side and pushes the
elevator button.

As the doors start to close Agent Fisk stops them. "I
seldom take 'no' for an answer Dana, and I always get
what I want, one way of the other." He lets go of the
doors and waves to Scully as they draw closed, causing
the hairs on the back of her neck to stand up.

Scully enters the office to find Mulder already
engrossed in looking at some slides on the light box.
"Hey Scully, how's it..."
Mulder halts as he sees Scully's flushed face and the
pile of messy files she is cradling in her arms. "You
want to tell me what's going on?" He asks her with a
touch of anger in his voice.

Scully hasn't been paying attention to her partner.
"What? No, its nothing, I just dropped my papers."

Mulder nods but doesn't believe her. He sits down at
his desk and tries to cut the tension that fills the
air, "So you gonna cook for me tonight, after all it
is St. Valentine's Day."

Scully smiles at him, relieved to have the subject
changed. "Of course I am. How about pizza?"

"Pizza!" Mulder says, rolling his eyes and whining.
"If I wanted pizza I could get it from Vic's Pizzeria
and he isn't half the Valentine date you are."

Scully laughs. "You were teasing me weren't you,"
Mulder finally catches on. He gets up and leans over
her shoulder, "Let's just see if naked Cupid visits
YOU tonight."

The day went fast, even though the two agents were not
currently occupied with a case. Mulder took care of
the back up of slides that needed logged in while
Scully finished her notes on the autopsy she had done
the day before.

Mulder slams the top drawer of a filing cabinet shut.
"Well Scully, Mickey's little hand is on the five and
his big hand is on the twelve, time to cut out."

"You go ahead Mulder, I need to finish my report.
I'll be right behind you."

Mulder grabs his trench coat and walks over to Scully.
He leans in close to her ear and says; "I'll be
waiting." Scully tilts her head into his hot breath
and smiles but continues to work on her report.

Ten minutes later Scully closes her notebook and
reaches for her coat. She turns out the lights and
pulls the door shut behind her then starts up the
backstairs that lead to the parking garage.

As she enters the multi-storied building a hand
reaches out and grabs her arm pulling her into the
shadows. Her assailant stands behind her with one arm
across her throat while the other is painfully
twisting her own arm behind her back. Scully gasps
for air as the man draws her tighter to him. "I told
you I always get what I want Dana. Now we can make
this easy or we can make this hard."

Scully's eyes widen as she gasps out, "Agent Fisk!"

The male agent tightens her arm up until she cries
out. "I said call me Michael," Fisk says through
clenched teeth.

Scully has had all of Agent Fisk that she can stand
and now her fear has turned into anger. She brings
her three-inch pump heel up and slams it down on the
agents left foot; fracturing his toes while at the
same time she grabs his thumb and twists it,
dislocating the joint. As he is straightening up to
grab his thumb she brings her knee up into his groin.
He starts to crumple to the ground but not before she
plants her other heel square in his ass. He tumbles
out of the shadows and into the path of an on coming
car. The driver brings the car to a screeching halt
just before hitting the nearly unconscious agent.
Face flushed and clothing askew Dana Scully looks up
to see the beautiful face of her partner.

Mulder closes his car door and walks around the agent
writhing on the concrete floor in front of his car.
He approaches his partner, "Scully, you okay?" He's
afraid to touch her for fear that she might be hurt.

Scully brushes off her sleeves and pulls down the
front of her jacket as she pushes the hair out of her
eyes. ""Yeah," she sighs with a touch of anger still
in her voice, "I'm Okay."

"I can't say the same for him," Mulder says glancing
down at the agent who lies on the floor moaning in
agony. "Think we should take him to the ER?"

Scully straightens her blouse collar and grabs her
coat off the floor. "No, let's get out of here. I'll
call an ambulance on my cell." Mulder helps her into
her coat. "I'll fill out the paperwork on this
bastard in the morning."

Mulder opens his car door for her then gets behind the
wheel. "NOW will you tell me what's going on?"

"Nothing really," Scully signs as she looks out the
side window.

"Scully!" Mulder draws out. "It might be nothing to
you, but it sure as hell is something to me. Anything
that involves you involves me."

Scully looks over at her partner then down at her
hands, as she shakes her head. "You're right, I
should explain this. I know I would want you to do
the same for me."

"The next time I'm attacked by a six-foot tall, male
agent built like Adonis, you'll be the first and only
one to know." Mulder glances over, glad to see his
partner finally smiling.

"I guess you could say Agent Fisk has been stalking me
for the past several days."

"Why didn't you tell me!" Mulder is not happy.

"Mulder, I can take care of myself."

Mulder drops his voice, "I know you can Scully, you
are the best agent I know." Scully nods her head in
thanks. "You think he'll live to reproduce?"

"Yeah," Scully chuckles.

"You sure you still feel like cooking?"

Scully looks up as a sly grin covers her face. "No, I
don't. Let's go to the Cap and Bugle."

"Scully, there is no way we can get into that place
tonight. We needed to make reservations months ago
for Valentine's Day."

"I already have one," Scully smugly says.

Mulder looks puzzled, "You do?"

"Yes, but you have to tell them your name is Fisk."
Scully smiles, "I don't think he'll be using his
reservation tonight."
