NEVER ME
Written by: Erin M. Blair <eblair@sonic.net>
--------------------------------------

Does he trust me?

Sometimes, I wonder.

After I left the Lone Gunmen's office, I
couldn't help wondering how Mulder felt about
*me.* I don't know completely what made me wonder about
that. I don't care what people think of me.

Let me rephrase. Normally, I don't care what
*others* think of me, but I *do* care how Mulder
thinks of me.

With the way he acted, I knew that I wasn't
his "one in five billion" and that "you're the
only one I trust" was hardly the case.

Diana's the only one he trusts.

Not me.

Never me.

I'm the spy, remember?

Diana's his "one in five billion",
not me. It will *never* be me. He trusts
her more than anything and he
doesn't trust me.

I know what I'm going to do. I'm going
to end this partnership of lies
and deceit once and for all.

I won't stay this time.

Not for a second.

Let Diana have Mulder.

I'm through with both of them.

This time Diana won.

Not me.

Never me.

End of Vignette.

Author's Notes:

I decided to write a short
vignette about Scully's feelings
towards Mulder and Diana. I was
very disappointed in Mulder in
the"One Son" episode, but I feel
better about him now. I'm still a
Shipper. I used the word, "trust",
as some sort of echoing reverb. I
feel that trust will always be an
issue with them.

This short vignette has overtures
of my background in lyric and poetry
writing.
