She captured my heart so completely - she holds it in the palms of her hands like a pearl from an oyster and I know I'd be a fool to ever try and wrest it from her grasp. I remember the first kiss, my lips against the warmth of her soft, peach fuzz skin; of murmuring sweet nothings into her dainty ear. She opened her sleepy blue eyes and gazed deep into mine, and in that moment she knew everything that I am and all that is in my heart. She is so small and fragile, like a precious porcelain figurine that must be handled lovingly and with care, but when I hold her in my arms I can feel the strength in her as her heart beats steadily against my own. I take her hand in mine and kiss it - her small fingers fasten on to me with an intense grip, as if she never wants to let go. There's so much I want to share with her, but right now, I am content just to hold her and give her unspoken promises that will be mine to keep. My cheek rests against her feathery hair, and we sit quietly in the encroaching twilight, contemplating all that is to come. Together we will experience the joys and the heartaches, the good times and the bad. I never knew that it could be like this - that I could love so deeply and profoundly. We are bound together forever, for she is the ultimate expression of the perfect love - my beautiful newborn baby girl. The End
