Summary - A short mood piece during the 
last scene in All Things.


Mulder's deep hazel eyes gazed at her 
beautiful body lying right there, next to 
him on the sofa.  He leaned over 
cautiously and gently grabbed the blanket 
that was next to her and covered her 
sleeping frame.  She stirred ever so 
slightly in her sleep.  He lifted his arm 
and caressed her soft red hair and the 
smooth skin of her face.  He leaned over 
taking in the sweet scent of her perfume 
and planted a kiss on her forehead.  He 
loved this woman so much and wanted to be 
with her.  They shared so much together, 
risked their lives to save one another but 
yet he felt alone.  No one knew how alone 
he felt, not even his sweet Scully.  The 
endless nights thinking about her followed 
by the tension during the day at work took 
a toll on his mental wellbeing.  He could 
not stand to be without her for any 
longer.   Eventually he would have to tell 
her the truth about his feelings and hope 
that in return she would accept them.
