Rain of Love

Dana Scully was angry, no that was not the right word, 
she was furious.
Everything had gone wrong today. First she had overslept 
and then her shower was troublesome and she had to 
shower in cold water. And when she were about to exit 
the bathroom she slipped on the wet floor and hit her 
head in the bathroom door and now she had a terrible 
headache.
And on her way to work her car broke down. She had 
called Mulder who had promised to be there in half an 
hour. 
So here she stood at the side of the motorway waiting 
for him and looking at the cars go by. Most of the 
people in the cars didn't have to face government 
conspiracies, aliens and monsters every day on their 
work. They just happily lived on with their normal 
lives. On the other side, who can decide what's normal? 
For her it was normal to be chasing aliens on her job. 
It was just to other people she had an abnormal life.
She was strange because she had no husband and 2.5 
children at her age. But the truth was that she actually 
liked her life, of course she wanted a husband, the 
children were out of the picture, but there was one 
little problem. The only guy nominated to be at her side 
for the rest of her life was a certain hazel eyed person 
with a brilliant mind. But she couldn't have him because 
their work with chasing green...oh, sorry, grey men.
She felt a water drop on her cheek. 'No please, no 
rain.' As soon as her thought was finished the rain 
started to pour. She was completely drenched in a couple 
of seconds.
-Damn, I hate this day! Her anger was boiling inside her 
just waiting to get out. And at this moment Mulder's car 
turns up to her.
He stepped out of the car with an umbrella in his hand 
looking absolutely gorgeous. He gave her a bright smile.
-Hi there sunshine. Here's your prince charming to the 
rescue. He blinked at her and suddenly all her anger 
turned towards him and she lost her usual cool facade.
-It's all your fault, she screamed at the top of her 
lungs. Mulder's face changed expression from playful to 
surprise and then guilt in 2.3 seconds.
-Sorry I wasn't here earlier Scully, but the traffic was 
heavy. He looked at her with his puppydogeyes. 
She knew that it was illogical but she got even angrier 
with him when he didn't know what she was talking about.
-I didn't mean that. Her voice was cold. " I'm talking 
about that it is your fault that I'm alone with no 
husband and no kids. Damn it Mulder, I want a husband 
and 2.5 children! She had now started screaming at him 
again.
Mulder looked shocked. Scully knew that he had never 
seen her loose her temper like this before.
But then he started to speak.
-I know you want that Scully. His whole body was ridden 
with guilt. I want hold you back anymore. Go get a 
husband, I want stop you. In his eyes a sparkle of anger 
started to show matching hers. Go be a doctor Scully, 
forget all about your partner with his spooky theories! 
Somewhere in his little speech he had started to scream 
and now it was her turn to be shocked.
-Damn it Mulder. I don't want to be a doctor. Her anger 
rose again when he thought that she wanted to get away 
from him. I don't want to get away from you.
-Why?
-Because I love you, you moron. She screamed at him. 
'Oops' was her next thought 'I hope he didn't hear 
that.'
-I... Mulder was ready to scream back a biting reply 
when her words suddenly him. What did you say?
'Damn' 
-uh...nothing.
-Scully, What. Did. You. Say? His eyes burned into her.
-Just...I love you. She looked down at her feet blushing 
fiercely. She waited for him to laugh or joke about it. 
When neither of it happened she looked up, a sparkle of 
hope was starting to rise in her.
He just stood there looking at her with a wide grin on 
his face. Then he spoke.
-Dana Katherine Scully, I love you too. Her mouth fell 
open. But she quickly got herself together and with a 
seductive voice she said:
-So what are you gonna do about it?
-This. He let go of the umbrella and took her in his 
arms as the rain drenched both of them. They started to 
laugh in delight but then Mulder grew serious and leaned 
towards her. And at last his lips locked with hers in a 
passionate kiss.
And Scully changed her mind...This was a wonderful 
day...actually the best in her life...so far.
And the cars on the motorway with all the normal people 
just drove past them not knowing what they missed.
