SUMMARY: With the help of Hoobistank's new song, Mulder professes his 
love to Scully.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own the X-Files. Or Hoobistanks' song, "The 
Reason." Which is good, because the X-Files would SUCK if it was mine, 
and I would kill myself if I owned that gay-ass song.
A/N: I always wondered why there weren't a million based on this song. 
So this is in honor of all the lameness that could be.

"Scully," Mulder said over the phone. Scully sighed tiredly and looked 
over at the red letters of her 5-year-old digital alarm clock. 2:00 in 
the morning! Oh well, it wasn't like it was anything unusual! Besides, 
she just loved him so much that it didn't matter to her what time he 
called so long as she could hear his deep, sexy, masculine voice.

"Yeah, Mulder?" Scully replied.

"I need you to come over here."

"Why?"

"I'll tell you when you get here."

Scully paused for a minute. It was late, but she would go anywhere at 
anytime for her love. "I'll be there in a bit," she said. They hung 
up.


Scully arrived at Mulder's apartment. She was tired. He gave her a 
nice, lovely, refreshing, revitalizing, awakening, steaming hot cup of 
coffee. With her senses now fully engaged, Scully wondered whyshe was 
here. "Why am I here Mulder?" she asked, voicing her confused 
thoughts.

"Because," he looked scared, nervous, afraid.

"Now, Mulder, you and I both know perfectly well that's not much of an 
answer," Scully said. She was serious. Drop-dead-sexy serious!

Mulder stood in front of her, clearing his throat. He began to sing: 
"I'm not a perfect person There's many things I wish I didn't do But I 
continue learning

Scully was absolutely touched that Mulder loved her so much. "Mulder, 
I love you!" she exclaimed joyfully.

"Scully, I love you too!" Mulder exclaimed, equally joyful. They 
kissed joyfully and were finally happy. So they walked to Mulder's 
brand- spanking-new bedroom and had sex aaaaaaaaaaaall night. They 
even missed work the next day! It was great.

Now, that wasn't so painful, was it? lol... At least I wasn't serious 
about it!
