SPOILERS: none (maybe one and only element from the Movie, though...) DISCLAIMER: I do certainly not own Mulder and Scully or the X-Files, these are all Chris Carter's beautiful creations and Fox is the ownly proud owner.Thanks. note: it's the first time I write an X-Files fanfic, actually it's the first time I ever write a story in English, because usually I write in French. So please excuse my potential mistakes, lack of vocabulary and lack of experience... REVELATIONS, by Sam_h_ Mirza is a mysterious bee, though she can be very funny. She likes flying around and telling people what happens around her. And then it happened: she flew to the FBI. "Strange place", she thought. "Spooky". Anyway she needed to see new people. Like that agent named Mulder, who's always crunching some sunflower seed, her favorite meal (yeah it's a strange bee...). So according to Mirza, agent Mulder is concerned. About what? Well it has to be a woman, someone he cares for, because he looks really distant and melancholic. And then another agent comes in that little space they call an "office". It's really a lovely agent. Mirza would like to smell her beautiful shining hair as it swirls around while she's walking towards Mulder. But agent Scully, that's her name, doesn't seem to like bees. A shame. Mirza takes place and starts listening... "Oh Scully....I've got something to show you." "Well Mulder I'm not in the mood for spooky stuff. Today it's been three years since Melissa died, and..." "Actually it's about Melissa...and Skinner." "Skinner? What do you mean?" "I have proofs that Skinner knew Melissa before she got shot. Look at this picture..." "God it's Melissa! What's Skinner giving to her?" "It looks like a diary." "Who took this picture Mulder?" "I don't know Scully" "Damn bee..." Skinners occupation at the moment is a monument of files lying on his desk. "I'll have finished by tomorrow..." he says for himself. And then someone knocks at his door. "It's open...well agent Scully, take a seat" "Sir..." she says hesitantly "What's wrong Scully?" "It's about this", says Scully handing him the picture. "Uh..." "What is it all about? How come you knew Melissa before?" "Agent Scully...there are many things I should have told you. But I've never found the right time. The right words." "It's about you, your life as an FBI agent...it may sound strange, but the diary has been created to protect you." "From whom?" says Scully, finally finding her words. "From...the Evil. You know these people. When you started working with agent Mulder on the X-Files, they were hoping you would stop his...well weird thoughts." "...but your integrity is something I haven't found in anyone else. That's why I respect you. I always have. I...wanted to protect you that's why I gave this diary to your sister. It had to be someone of your family,someone you trusted. Melissa was very comprehensive." "I know. She always was...uh. Sir...what is this diary about?" "It's....the summary of all the reports about extraterrestrial life you wrote since you started working on the X-Files. I didn't want to give them to my superiors, so I kept them, made a summary and gave it to someone that could keep it. But since Melissa's death I realized that...it had no sense. These people already knew the "facts"....all they wanted now was to destroy Mulder, you and the X-Files, and to keep you away from the Truth." "I guess...I have to thank you for that, Sir. I don't know what to say." "Scully, you're a great agent. I haven't had the opportunity to tell you since I started being your...superior. God I hate this word... "Sir, I have to admit that usually people do a fine work when their superiors do theirs well enough..." "Dana...this is personal...I like you very much. I guess I'm not easy sometimes but your and Mulders work is ambiguous and it's not always easy to catch the meaning of what you're searching for...I hope you understand" "Sure...I'm sorry about that." "No don't be. I have learned something from you, you know. That having faith in something doesn't mean NOT listening to the other. And I'm sure Mulder is greatful for that too..." "I don't even know if he notices it.." "I'm sure he does...well that's it agent Scully. I guess I have no more to say." "Thank you sir" It's time for me to change room again, thinks Mirza. So she flies back to Mulder's office, careful not to be noticed by Scully who's now explaining to Mulder what happened with Skinner. "I think Skinner is our last chance to find the answers." says Scully "he trusts us.I've been dumb to suspect him so many times..." "Yeah Scully Skinner's a great guy...I woudn't ever say you're dumb, though..." "Thank you... I don't know where we would be now if he hadn't been there. Dead, I guess. Or out of work...actually I think that he really cares. He cares about what we're doing and also about how we are doing...which is seldom seen in a superior and..." "Scully did he give you a love potion?" "No Mulder I..." "What's wrong Scully" "I...am thankful to him because he's the one who kept me working on the X-Files since 1993, with you Mulder. He's the one who kept us together, can't you see? I guess...I guess we would be apart now if he hadn't cared." "Scully...the Truth we're looking for..." "Let me finish Mulder! Sometimes I wonder if you're listening to me at all" "God Scully what are you saying? Of course I am. Since I know you I try to remember every little word you said. Scully...I'm sorry. I'm sorry if sometimes I seem to be...out there. Out of reach. But you're the only one that can keep me down, on Earth. The only one that keeps me alive. How could I ignore you talking to me... I mean...you're the best that happened in my life. I...I guess I'm not such a thing for you. I messed it all up...look at how it all ended Scully..." "Mulder..." "I don't deserve you, definitely. And you thank Skinner for keeping us together?" "God Mulder..." "Mulder wait...this is your imagination. Your paranoia. I could never let you down... because it would mean my own end. Nothing has meaning now for me, except you. And the X-Files. Please Mulder understand this: I need you." "Hmmm...God Scully I love your voice...it's...it's so quiet...it quiets me" Scully comes closer to Mulder and bents her head to talk right in his ear "I love yours too...hmm I love you Mulder..." "God this must be the episode called "Spooky in Heaven"... I love you Scully, more than everything- I'd die for you can you see it?" "Hmmm this would not be fun, Mulder..." Fortunately Mirza was "stung" by this show and had no reason to sting someones other neck. So everything went right.
