KaliMagick@aol.com classification: vignette, Scully's pov, post-ep thoughts spoilers: Triangle rating: PG summary: Scully's thoughts after Mulder's...um...revelation at the end of "Triangle". This is a really short piece, just a thought about what she might have thought. Serious Was he serious? How the hell should I know. Of course he wasn't serious. He just got back from the bermuda triangle, for christs sake. He's on every drug known to mankind and he just woke up from a coma. He's probably delusional, to say the least. So of course he wasn't serious. And I did the right thing by just waling away. But suppose he was serious? Those three words I've been waiting to hear for six damn years. Of course, I always imagined that when it was finally said it'd be a little more romantic, or a little more believable at least. I always though it'd be in a fit of rage or passion, when one of us just said it without even thinking and once the words were said we'd just fall into each other's arms and live happily ever after. But happily ever after doesn't often happen in our lives, I suppose. It wouldn't be realistic, but it would be nice. At least, it would be nicer than a drug-induced illusion in which he could have been talking to a stack of pancakes for all he knew. Sure, he seemed rational and with it and all, but he couldn't have been. But what if he was? What if he was completely and totally serious and all I said in response was "Oh brother"? I could have finally been given the opportunity I've longed for for six damn years, and I let it slip by. Wouldn't that just suck. But I'm sure he wasn't serious. Tomorrow morning he'll wake up and have forgotten any of what was said. Then we'll just continue going on with our lives the way they are and eventually one day I'm sure one of us will sa something. Cause I'm sure he wasn't serious. I'm sure of it. The End feedback is ALWAYS appreciated, be it flames, compliments, criticism, or anything else you can throw at me.
