RATING: G CLASSIFICATION: V, A SPOILER WARNING: All of season 8 SUMMARY: A letter to Mulder by a familiar person. DISCLAIMER: I don't own them. Alas *puts back of hand to forehead dramatically* they belong to CC and company. AUTHORS NOTES: I enjoy feedback immensely. Please do so. You'll forever have my gratitude. And on with the show. ~*~ Fox Mulder, You don't know me and you will probably never read this but several months ago I was assigned a case. A missing person's case that dealt with the existence of extraterrestrial life. This case was to find you. Though, I got sidetracked along the way and was partnered with Agent Scully I liked her from the start. Her loyalty to you is unlike anything I have seen before. She is an amazingly strong woman. So beautiful and so independent. She defiantly knows how to take care of herself. Anyway, I got assigned to work on the X-files. These case of yours, I dont know where I stand with them. I have seen things I have never seen before and frankly, it scares me. I have always been by the book and thesethesecases. They are so unconventional as to require unorthodox police methods instead of the basic meat and potatoes police work. I try my best but my best is all to often not enough. Your work requires a certain disregard for your own life. I don't believe I am ready for that. I am not ready to believe yet either. So many things are left unsolved and unexplained. Confusion is an overwhelming feeling here in the basement. I've read every case and immersed myself in every X-file. I've also read Agent Scully's case file. She has lost so much its a wonder she can smile anymore but I feel the idea that you will come one safe pushes her foreword through the darkest of times. I sometimes catch her looking toward the sky. Looking to find you, I assume, watching her from beyond the twilight. I care a great deal about this woman, as I'm sure you do too. So do me a favorhurry home. You have a wonderful women waiting for your return. Sincerely, John Doggett.
