We were discussing the wonderful world of fanfic. When the conversation turned to MSR, I remarked: > and standard boyfriend-and-girlfriend fare featuring the two of them > makes me squirm uncomfortably. His response, below, was so delectable that I asked him if I could share it with you. He'd be happy for feedback, which you may send to me at laura@humandesign.com. I will forward all comments to my friend. A Shipper Snippet Mulder: So, you want to get dressed and grab a bite to eat, maybe see a movie? Scully: Okay, but no more of those creepy porno horror things. I've got Ed Wood directing my nightmares, and they all seem to revolve around this one unfortunate sorority. Mulder: You have that too? Don'cha love the part where they throw -- Scully: Sunflower seeds at you. Mulder: How did you know what I was going to say? Scully: I know you, Mulder. Too well. Mulder smiles, and is about to respond when his cellphone rings. Cigarette Smoking Man: I thought I'd find you in. (insinuatingly) Mulder: What do you want? CSM: I believe I have a proposition that may interest you. Mulder: (scanning out the window) Keep talking. CSM: A little rendez-vous for you and your, uh, partner. Mulder: When? CSM: The new Carrey film starts at eight-fifteen downtown. You and Scully, me and Samantha. What do you think? Scully: Who is it? Mulder: It's Petey again. Double date? Scully: With Samantha? Come on, Mulder, isn't this getting a little sick? CSM: Tell her it's Jim Carrey, for crying out loud. Mulder: (coaxing) I'll bring the sunflower seeds... Scully: All right, all right, just help me find my blouse... Mulder: I don't see it here! (tackles her from behind) Scully: Cut it out! (giggles) CSM: I'll see you two lovebirds there. *click* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Laura --"Repeat to yourself 'It's just a show I should really just relax...'" Joel Hodgson
