Author's Note- This is my first attempt at posting, and experimental
piece if you will.  I intend to post more, I just need to figure out
how this thing works.  Please give me feedback! My Email is hungry for
it.  Constructive criticism and comments welcome; flames will be used
to toast marshmallows.

Status Report (1/1)

     The X-files are closed.  Agent Mulder and I now stand alone,
against who or what we are fighting, we are still uncertain.  Although
many believe the human race are the only intelligent life-forms in
this galaxy, we have found evidence in recent events that indicate it
is probable we are not alone.  Although every piece of evidence
justifying Agent Mulder's beliefs that extra-terrestrials exist was
destroyed by the fire, my partner is convinced that the truth still
remains to be discovered.  The answers that we have come so close to
finding have once again been retracted out of our reach.  In leiu of
Agent Mulder's and my discovery of a possible experiment on human
subjects, we cannot provide any tangible evidence of this due to the
fact that the entire operation we witnessed appears now to be
non-existent.
     The bee I provided as evidence has disappeared, as Agent Mulder
expected, and it seems clear to me now that the only evidence may be
in me.  Although blood tests come up clean, I believe that the
chemicals that invaded my body still remain, undetected and unharmed. 
In reference to our close encounter outside Agent Mulder's apartment,
it can obviously be attributed to the stress of the job and the shock
of everything we have found.  
     Agent Mulder's search for the truth has been fuelled more
vigorously due to recent events, and he is convinced that the truth
behind his sister's disappearance and my cancer will be found.  His
quest continues, and I now believe that the quest that was his and his
alone has now become ours, a race against time and the people who
struggle to keep the barrier between the truth and lies intact.
