Title: The Story Behind the Story Written by: Rainy E-mail: manini@aol.com or rakas148@makani.k12.hi.us Rating: PG Category: X-File/Romance/Humor Spoilers: The End Keywords: Summary: Why was Fowley shot in the finale? There was no logical reason for the bad man to shoot her, not that I can think of. Maybe, just maybe, it was for some other reason and because of some other person. This is just my humorous antics of what happened...with some romance thrown in so it can be justified as a possibility. Disclaimer: Every single freaking charachter in this freaking story freaking belongs to freaking Chris Carter and his freaking gang of freaking writers. If I'm using freaking to much, be glad it isn't another freaking effword. Oh, here's another freaking disclaimer, I got that phrase from Steven King. Well since I know nobody's going to pay particular attention to whatever the hell I'm saying here, on with the story! Dedicated to Jennifer B. for being a half-inspiration and so I won't look greedy for not dedicating anything to anyone. Special Agent Diana Fowley watched little 12-year-old Gibson looking out the window. ''There's a man with a gun out there,'' he said. ''Gibson, get away from there,'' Fowley commanded. ''He didn't come here to get me. He's aiming for you,'' Gibson said, as the window exploded and Fowley fell to the ground. A little ways away, Special Agent Dana Scully's cell phone rang. She answered it with a rather monotone voice. ''Scully''. ''Agent Scully,'' a raspy voice answered. ''We have followed your plans as you have wished.'' The line was then disconnected. Scully smiled. ''That'll teach that bitch to come near my man.'' * * * * * Special Agent Fox Mulder, Scully's partner, watched in dismay as Fowley was wheeled away on a stretcher. He had just gotten a call that morning that she had been shot, that one of her lungs had been punctured, that things weren't looking good. A thousand thoughts and anecdotes of Fowley swirled in his head. Besides Scully, she had been the only one he'd ever had an attraction to. 'Don't forget Phoebe Green,' he added to himself, 'That scheming, manipulative bitch. May she rot in the darkest corner of the farthest reachest of the damndest hell!' Other than attraction, there was an unexplainable connection between him and Diana. It was even stronger with Scully. ''Mulder, you okay?'' said Scully, coming up from behind him. ''You look a little off balance.'' ''She was like my best friend,'' he said dreamily. Then he smiled at Scully. ''Next to you, of course.'' Scully smiled contentedly, then took his hand. ''Are you going to be okay or are we going to need a hospital bed in the psychiatric wing for you?'' He continued to smile, and put his arm around her waist. ''I think I'll be okay.'' Stretching herself as high as she could go, she managed to whisper in his ear, ''This is the end of a beginning, and the start of a new one.'' He nodded, putting the other arm around him. ''Yeah, whatever the hell you mean by that. Just as long as you don't get shot too'' She grinned to herself, and thought, 'That won't be a problem, believe me.' The words many writers hate, also the episode this is based on: The End _____________________________________________________________________________ Special thanks to: My muse, who exists solely in the ''sweatshops'' of my mind. Michael, for being the ''opinionator'' and for not laughing at the idea. Chris Carter, for getting us all freaking hooked on this blasted show. Chris Farley, for playing the charachter that causes me to say freaking so much . God bless him, rest in peace. Everyone else on the planet, just for being you.
