else, to know that I'm not writing this because I want to make money, I'm
doing it because I'm an x-phile. :)

SUMMARY: Mulder watches Seinfeld in the middle of the night while he thinks
about his life.

	"There's a void, Jerry"

Fox Mulder felt that there were too many questions in his life. Far too
many questions and not enough answers. Every time he sat down and thought
about that miserable mess he called his life he could see that it was
filled with questions. Where is the truth? What is the thuth? Whom can be
trusted? Why did they take his sister? Why did they have to kill his
father? Where can you buy a tasty pizza to decent prize nowadays? Why did
Jose Chung write that stupid book and did he HAVE TO call him "Reynard
Muldrake" in it? Mulder could think of at least a thousand better names.

Those were the biggies, but there were always the small questions too. Like
now. Why on earth did he sit in his couch watching Seinfeld reruns in the
middle of the night, 4 o clock to be precise? And then that question could
be divided into a few different questions. Like,

1. Why would any TV broadcasting company want to air 5 episodes of Seinfeld
in the middle of the night? It was a great show, so Mulder didn't mind that
they did, but why *so many* episodes, and why between two and four-thirty
*AM*?

2. Why did he stay up so late in the first place? He always did. Why? Was
it because he though that if he stayed up late enough Santa Claus would
knock at the door and give him the truth with a red ribbon on it? Probably
not. Maybe if he ignored time long enough he could somehow turn it back and
save his sister? Hmmm... That wasn't quite the answer either. Then
everyrhing was as it was supposed to be -- no answers, only questions.

Wow, Seinfeld really was a great show. Mulder could really picture himself
as George. He didn't like it though, he'd much rather be Jerry. In fact, he
tried to. He admired the way Jerry always could keep a distance to
everything and just joke about it. Mulder tried to do that too, and most
people who met him probably thought of him as a "Jerry Seinfeld"-kind of
guy, but Muldet knew that deep down inside he was like George.

"There's a void, Jerry. There's a void."

George said that. Who else? Mulder knew exectly what he meant, that
something was missing. What was it? What made Fox Mulder such a sad
character? Was it only because of his sister or was it because of something
else too? Questions, questions...

Mulder tried to picture Scully as one of the other characters. First as
Elaine and then as Kramer. He laughed when he though about it. Scully was
not Elaine, so who was she then? Kramer? He thought about it a bit more.
Scully - Kramer. Kramer - Scully. Scully - Kramer. Kramer - Scully. He came
to the conclusion that Scully wasn't at all like Kramer but that they would
make a great couple.

The episode was over. It was the last one, and Mulder had no idea of what
he wanted to do next. Sleeping was out of the question. Maybe he should
watch the "UFO -- alien spacecraft or elaborate hoax?"-video that he had
seen at least 26 times already or pehaps watch the Bigfoot movie he had
payed 29.95 for and which later turned out to be a fake when a couple of
experts had taken a look at it.

Call Scully? Hmmm... Now that was an interesting idea. But what would he
say to her? He couldn't just call her, he had to say something funny when
she answered. Jerry would have. Mulder stared at the phone for a while,
then he picked it up, dialed her number and waited.

He could hear that Scully had picked up the phone. Good. She didn't say
anything for ten seconds, then she gave up a strange noise which reminded
Mulder of the word "Hello". He had obviously woken her up.

"Hey Scully. Would you like to be the mother of our children?"

She didn't laugh. Darn, he really *was* George. It was always like this:
Mulder said something which he thought was funny and she didn't laugh. Most
of the time she didn't even move her lips, she just rolled her eyes.

"Excuse me Mulder...?" Mulder didn't like the way Scully said that. He had
to respond.

"Er, nice weather today, huh?"

"Mulder, have you been drinking yaje?"

"Vine of the soul? Nope. The strongest think I've drunk tonight is...
Tomato juice. You wouldn't want some, would you Scully?"

"Good night Mulder"

*Click*

Mulder smiled. He leaned back in his couch and felt relieved. Maybe he
wasn't George after all. George would never find a wonderful partner -- and
friend -- like Scully. A partner that was always there for him and tried
really hard to understand and believe him. A partner who could balance his
weird theories with a little skepticism. Naaah... Mulder was not at all
like George.

Maybe he was Kramer.

-the end-

Sooo... Lemme know what you thought! Please?! Thanku.
