Thomas E-MAIL ADDRESS: kthomas@qnet.com DISTRIBUTION: I'm personally sending this to Gossamer. I'd appreciate it if anyone else would tell me where it's going, but it's not mandatory. :) SPOILER WARNINGS: Beyond the Sea, Paper Clip, All Souls, Je Souhaite RATING: PG CLASSIFICATION: V KEYWORDS: none SUMMARY: Scully contemplates what three wishes she personally would make. DISCLAIMER: The characters within do not belong to me, but to Ten Thirteen and 20th Century Fox. Scully was alone in her apartment, sitting on the couch in her satin pajamas. "Three wishes...what would I wish for if *I* had three wishes?" Scully thought to herself. Perhaps, for once, she would indulge herself and fantasize...as it were. Well, her one truly open--wide open--wound, was her daughter, Emily. So, she supposed, wish #1 would be for Emily to still be alive and with her. But what would be the consequences of *that* wish? Well, she thought, "I suppose Emily could be some sort of a zombie; a monster. But no...that couldn't be possible. Not my sweet, innocent Emily. No..." Then Scully had...a vision...of Emily, before her once again. "Please, Mommy," Emily pleaded with her, as she had before. "Mommy, please let me go," she asked, as tears threatened to fall from Emily's wide, deep eyes. Emily wasn't the only one who was near tears at that moment, as Scully herself was about to cry. Okay, perhaps she should think more carefully on her next wish. Okay, maybe for wish #2...she would wish that her father were still alive...or maybe she should rethink the whole wishing-for- the-dead-to-still-be-among-the living thing. That could only backfire...right? Or else, maybe she would wish Melissa alive again. Okay, scratch those. So, perhaps she would wish for Mulder to live a more happy, fulfilling life. Yes, that would be wish #3. He was the only person she knew who held an even more pathetic life than she. He took whole knew meaning to the word, in fact. He *truly* held his work above all else. She lived for her work, yet still wished for more of a personal life...a family...she sighed aloud. Yes, that was her wish; for Mulder to get a life of his own. She pushed her short red hair back behind her ear as she let out another soft sigh. Scully truly didn't see *how* that one could backfire on her, so that was it. *End*
