Ordinarily, I wouldn't have joined my subordinates for a holiday celebration. However, this was the FBI's annual turkey shoot. How often did I get a chance to suit up in camouflage and break out my M24 sniper rifle? This year, I arranged the shoot to be held in the Pine Barrens to entice a certain special agent to participate in my private "Tally-Ho". The search for the legendary Jersey Devil soon had Agent Mulder running aimlessly through the woods with his gun waving in the air. I hid behind a log, laughing with amused glee as I lined him up with my scope. I felt a gun press into the back of my head. "But, I thought it was a fox hunt," I protested. Agent Scully quickly disarmed me. "Does my son give thanks for you, Miss Scully?" I saw doubt flicker in her eyes. An opportunity had presented itself...
