But, I lost my chance and now that I think about it. I think I lost my chance twice. Now, that Dana woman is in his life and I can't do anything about it. I wish Fox and I could be together again. I wish we were one again. I wish I could be beside him, be in his bed, work with him, love him, cherish him. Do all those things I never really did when we were together and boy am I ever kicking myself hard in the ass for that one. I decided to go down to his office today. I am trying to get the courage to do it. I am right outside his office door. I turn the know and open the door just a little slowly and peek inside and there he is. He is sitting with his feet up on his desk. An old scene I remember seeing millions of times, but never got old. On the other side of the desk, is her. The red head with an attitude. Dana Scully. I decide to walk in the whole way and I hold my breath as I do. "Good morning, Fox." "Gooooood morning, Diana. What can I help you with ?" he says. "Yes, is there anything WE can do for you ?" Scully says through clenched teeth. "No, no, I was wondering if you would like to go out for lunch with me ?" "Oh, so you can get a real knife and stab me him in the back again" Scully says slowly and smirking, but not kidding. < Ouch on my part. That was a burn and a half and Scully's huge smile isn't helping >I laugh a very small laugh. "Uh, no, I was just wondering if we could catch up on things. I haven't talked to you for a while. If you're not too busy." I say. Fox looks at Scully and Scully gives him a LOOK, not just any look, it was THE LOOK. The look that means to Fox, "don't you dare leave with that bitch." I see that look at least 5 times every time I talk to him when she's there. But, lucky me, he ignored it. "Yeah, sure, I guess that would be nice," he said. Scully's eyes went wide and I loved it. Every milla-second of it. "Great, I'll see you later, Fox, at the Joey's Restaurant in an hour." "See you then Diana," he said. I walked out. Yes ! ! ! I couldn't be happier. He'll be mine soon enough. XxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXx An Hour Later * There he is. I see him walking in and oh my god, wearing that delicious leather jacket. He looks so hot, I could faint. He walks to my table and I put on a big smile. "Hi Fox," I say. "Hi," he says. "I hope we can catch up and talk." "About what exactly ?" he says slyly. "Fox, I think we should give each other another chan---" "Diana, if this is another conversation about how you and I should give each other another chance to be together, forget it. You left me 6 months after we were married. You walked out. You won't walk out on my again." I don't know what to say. He's right, but I want another chance so badly. "Please, Fox." "No, I have commitments. "To what ? Your partner ? Your sister ? The X-Files ? You and I started the X-Files together, don't you forget it. "Yes, we did, and you walked out on that too. "Why won't you just give us another chance ?" "You had your chance." I feel horrible and my plan isn't working out well. I feel so hopeless, I can't just let him go. I begin to cry. "Fox, please !" He gets up and starts to walk away. I had my chance. End.
