Hello. I'm back. This is yet another really short story that has
absolutely no reason for being here, but has been bothering me for a long
time. Maybe, someone out there can answer my question, but until then,
i'll just write this little short story about it.
No infringement intended, copyrights belong to Chris Carter and
Ten Thriteen Productions...blah blah blah...hope i'm not stepping on any
toes, sprry if i do. Enjoy...

	YOUR GUESS

Sculyl and Mulder stood quietly in the lunchline, waiting for
their turn to get food. It had been yet another long boring dasy filled
with endless hours of paperwork. Nothing new was happening. No alien
chases, no government conspericies to uncover. No killers on the loose
that knew how to strech their way out of a situation. Everything seemed
so boring now.
Finally, the line moved, and scully held out her tray. The lady
standing behind the small bar looked at Scully and smiled. She
remembered when she had been that young. Totally wrinkled free. But she
wasn't any longer. It must be form the food, she thought, looking dow at
the greesy food. She spooned out a peice of meat and let it slide onto
Scully's tray. Then, she did the same for Mulder. She smiled again as
they walked off.
Dana grabbed a water bottle and paid for her meal. Slowly, she
walked to a table and sat down, soon joined by Mulder. He looked at her,
then his food, then back at her. "So, what do you think they put in it
this time?"
Scully looked at her food and frowned. "I think it just moved."
"Wouldn't surprise me," he said with a small grin.
"What do you think it is?"
"I'm not sure I want to know."
"Look. Is that a leg," Sculyl mumbled, poking the greyish mass
with her spoon. "I think it's smiling at me."
"Hmmmm," Mulder mumbled. "I think you're right."
Scully sat quiet for a while before she looked up at Mulder and
blurted out, "Mulder, what's spam made of?"
	"What?"
"You know, that gross stuff they sell you in a can. They call it
Spam. What exactly is that stuff?"
"You know what? I'm not too sure I kow what it is either."
They both sat still, looking at thier food and frowning. "Mulder?"
"Yeah," Mulder said while poking his food.
"Do you htink this...food, is safe to eat?"
"I'm not sure. But, I think my food just winked at me."
Sculyl burst out with laughter. When she couls finally breath
again, she looked at him and smiled. "Maybe it's an X-File."
"Yeah, I can see it now. 'Mulder, what the hell is this?'
'Well, sir, it's the latest X-File. We've given up the search to find
out what Spam is.'"
Sculyl smiled and took a big gulp of water. "I know I'm going to
regret this later, but what do yuo say we go out and hit a fast food joint?"
"I'd say it would be better then trying to decide if this stuff
was still alive."
Scully and Mulder got up and dumped their food. "Did you hear
that?" Scully asked.
	"What?"
"The food. I think it just said 'ouch'."
"Weird," Mulder mumbled. "Come on. I kow a great place that will
clog up your artaries in one meal,:" he smiled.
	"Oh joy."
They walked away, never really knowing what they had been served
for lunch that day. Not really wanting to know what they had been served.

Okay, does that remind you of wghat they used to serve you at
school or what? nyway, i would really like to knwo what spam is. So, if
anyone out there knows what ti is, could you e0-mail me and tell me. I
have not met anyone yet who knew. Maybe it is an X-File...:)
